Friendly service, a cook that takes pride in his dishes & charm of a small town café. I was worried this might be a tourist trap, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was cozy and warm when we arrived after the dinner rush. They had a wide selection of items considering everything is trucked into the town. Prices might seem high, but compared to Furnace Creek and Stovepipe Wells($ 16/burger!!!) this place is much more affordable, closer to $ 12 a plate for dinner. The coffee is good. The fries are HOMEMADE! And the quality of the food is fresh. Their salsa is delicious too. This place doesn’t blow your mind with the most amazing food ever, but what it does offer is really worth raving about, considering your options. They also have regular hours. The taco salad was HUGE and had a ton of beans and meat. It was more like an open burrito with a mess of lettuce. Hubby had the Rueben. That was actually really, really tasty. The fries, while a little oily, were the highlight of the meal for me. Definitely awesome. Would’ve liked to try it with their snakebite chili. The coffee was also a solid 5 stars for me(I’m not a coffee snob and will drink just about anything, so long as it doesn’t taste weak or like dirt — or dirty carafe– ahem, 7 – 11). Wish they offered a sampler platter for their desserts: choc cake, pumpkin pie, apple pie, and ??? Would recc this place without hesitation!

I was the First Reviewer six years ago, and wanted to stop again on way back to Las Vegas from DV. Better than ever. Fancied up, friendly staff, lots of great beers. For a late lunch we had the soup of the day, bean and ham. Really good. And the chicken quesadilla. Superb, tasty, with salad and salsa. Definitely a hit. And super cheap after leaving Furnace Creek. The washrooms are around back.

Good service and tasty food, but rib-eye steaks were pre-grilled and reheated in a pot of au jus. My steak looked awesome and tasted good, but was stone cold. I asked them to microwave it, but they put it back in the au jus pot and reserved it luke warm. My partner ordered a ham and cheese sandwich, which came without any ham. They were very polite and acknowledged that they forgot to put the ham on before grilling; so, had a grilled cheese that they brought instead. The fries were fresh and tasted good, but either they put too many in the fryer or the oil was/got cold and made the fries oily. Staff was really nice and prices are fair for what you get.

The food here is always good — and certainly better than anything anywhere around — but the service, friendly locals, and relaxing patio tables are even better. They are very dog friendly. I love stopping here.

We travel all the way from Vegas just to have the Garden Burger. So moist and tasty and filling! Just need to get a «side salad» on the menu!

Better than expected! I usually eat at Pastel’s(AWESOME) Bistro in nearby Tecopa… but they were closed, so I tried this place. It looks like a typical tourist trap saloon, with the Old West shtick laid on super-thick…so I didn’t expect much; bar-type junk food, which it kinda was. Burgers, nachos, etc… but less greasy and better prepared than expected. I had a veggie burger and fries, and the fries were pretty limp and greasy… but the burger was great! On another visit I had a chicken Caesar, and it was pretty good. Lots of fresh greens and a decent amount of chicken. The bloody Mary was also basic, but fine. Service was good, ambiance was fine, and there is free Wi-Fi. I would probably come here again… but to be honest, only for drinks/Wi-Fi…or if Pastel’s is closed(which it often is).

Ate lunch here yesterday. When we walked in and said«hello» the waitress just kind of grunted in our general direction. The only reason I gave this place 2 stars is because the french fries were actually good. I got the enchiladas and my husband got a burger. Enchiladas were filled with gross ground beef(maybe hamburger helper?). If you like Taco Bell, this place is for you. Enchiladas were made from flour tortillas. They weren’t baked or anything. Probably just microwaved to melt the cheese. Burger was okay… just a prepackaged overcooked burger patty from the grocery store. We got a small cup of the rattlesnake chili and it was okay, not great. The food just seemed lazy and sloppy. Our waitress, despite our politeness, seemed to think that doing her job was a great favor to us. We tipped her well because it was New Year’s Eve. We had a couple of well drinks at $ 4 each. They were weak. Bathroom is outside and the toilet doesn’t flush all that well. Stop here if you must, but don’t expect great food.
