Plastic Surgery of Short Hills

I first went to Plastic Surgery of Short Hills 2 years ago on a Groupon for laser hair removal. I went there for underarm laser hair removal. Luba was very good. She is very friendly and professional and I had excellent results. I was so pleased, I recently went back for the bikini area. Luba continues to be very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Plastic Surgery of Short Hills.

For complex procedures one wants a surgeon who is confident, experienced, well-​trained, and has outstanding outcomes. Dr. Ovchinsky represents all these qualities and is also caring and compassionate. The office staff is helpful and friendly. Would recommend this practice to all my friends!

I just wanted to share the experience I’ve had with this practice. I have been receiving laser hair removal treatments with Luba and I couldn’t be any happier. I started off with a small area (chin & sideburns) to see how my skin would react and hair removal would progress. I saw immediate results after about 3 sessions. Once I began to see the progress of my hair thinning out, I decided to add my underarms. It is a quick treatment. Luba made me feel comfortable and at ease. I would definitely recommend this practice to all of my friends.

I had a great experience at this facility! The staff is very kind and very friendly. The facility is overall very clean and beautiful. The doctors are all awesome! I highly recommend this facility. Its hard to be disappointed.

Dr. Ovchinsky has been my Plastic Surgeon for the past 3 years and I couldn’t be happier! He has provided me with Botox as well as Juvederm and Restylane to correct my lines and my folds. His facility is 5-​star, the waiting room is beautiful and he has always seen me immediately.
He is extremely caring and is the best at what he does! I would recommend him to everyone.
I have also had my neck hair lasered by Luba, she was very attentive and helpful throughout the whole process. I now no longer need to shave my neck which is always a hassle.

We had otoplasty ear pinning surgery performed by Dr Ovchinsky at St. Barnabas for my daughter who is almost 9. We had been very happy with the results, our girl had minimal discomfort and her ears look great! amazing difference. Scheduling procedure had been easy and office very helpful in organizing and prepping for the surgery. We are very happy with result and Dr is great with kids –Many Thanks Dr. Ovchinsky!

I went to Luba for a few laser hair removal sessions as I had a few sessions done by my dermatologist before moving to NJ and just wanted to finish the process. The sessions here did not show any improvement. Something about this place I just don’t trust. I have since gone elsewhere and have finished the process.

I decided to try a chemical peel to help with some hyper-​pigmentation I had as a result of too much time spent on the beach. The procedure was quick and virtually painless and the esthetician was very attentive to my needs. Over the next few days following the procedure I noticed a lot of the hyper-​pigentation had disappeared and my skin had a smoother and more even tone. The results are better than I expected!

Preface: I am a young man with high testosterone and genetically very hairy. I am pale with thick coarse dark hair which is ideal for laser hair removal. I do understand that i will need a minimum of more than 6 treatments and i understand the expected results.
After purchasing 6 sessions of laser hair removal for full back (groupon deal), I noticed very little difference after the first 3 sessions. She took only 30 mins for the whole back and i felt very little pain. Not even the pain that is normally described as rubber band snapping. I was worried that my back was not treated enough or completely or if the laser were working. I had visible lines of where the laser has gone through and clear spots where she had missed. She said this is normal and by the end you should see much more improvement. I did not see any improvement.
After consulting many other Laser places, I noticed this was not normal and decided to ask for a refund for the last 3 sessions (which they did at a discounted price). The manager and secretary were very nice, but the laser technician, Luba, could have been more open to hearing my results and opinions.
I am now receiving laser hair removal from another technician which i am seeing fantastic results compared to this place. This new place takes around 1 hr for full back compared to the much shorter time at Plastic Surgery of Short Hills. Even after the first session of the new location, i saw dramatic results
I will upload pictures of my back after all 3 sessions I had here. You can see the visible vertical lines running down my back where the laser only hit and how the majority of my back is still untouched.
Overall I would not recommend this place again specifically for laser hair removal

I have been to this place for almost more than 10 times for my facial hair removal. I had tried many other places prior to this place and none were successful. Luba is a very attentive and knowledgeable person. She is always positive and motivating. I see results clearly even though it is the most stubborn area: face, thanks to luba!

I’ve been looking for a nearby board-​certified plastic surgeon for BOTOX since it’s too inconvenient to keep seeing the Park Avenue plastic surgeon I’ve been going to in Manhattan. He is great, but just too far away. I saw Plastic Surgery of Short Hills on Living Social and decided to give it a try. The building is set back from the street and fairly unassuming. It’s easy to drive right by it, and I did, twice. The reception area is clean and comfortable, but nothing over-​the-​top like you find in some high end plastic surgery practices. Frankly, I saw this as a good thing. When you walk into one of those insanely fancy offices you know who’s paying for it — the patients! Within a few short minutes of filling out their questionnaire, I was called into a procedure room. Again, within a couple of minutes, the plastic surgeon walked in. Dr. Tony Perkins was very personable and gave me his total and undivided attention. He asked questions, answered questions, and made me feel like I was a welcomed patient, even though I was using a Living Social deal. He spent a lot of time with me, was honest with me, and did a great job with the BOTOX without giving me that fake, frozen BOTOX face look. He has a light touch, too. The injections were virtually painless. I will definitely return and I highly recommend seeing Dr. Perkins for BOTOX. I imagine his surgical skills are good, too. If I ever decide to get more than BOTOX in the future, he will be on the top on my list to consult with.

This is a pleasant facility and both of the doctors do very fine work. TThe prices are higher for Botox and fillers than at other offices where I can get the exact same outcomes.
The office manager is rude, pushy and condescending. I had good results, but am so turned off by Lubia’s manner that I will never go back there.

This is really a super place for laser hair removal! I came on a living social promotion and stayed to get a couple of areas completely done! The place is nice and clean and and well taken care-​of. The machine is new and shoots out cool air as it zaps you so the process isn’t too bad. Luba is fantastic and tells you what to expect and how to take care of yourself in-​between appointments. Everyone is so friendly! LOVE this place! :)

I have been to other places for laser hair removal; this place is in a class by itself. Wonderful. The staff is friendly. The laser machine shoots out cold air so the process is basically painless. I started out just doing my chin but the results were so quick and easy that I also did my lip, legs and underarms so far. Bikini next! They also will match prices to living social offers. Just ask. Again, these people are WONDERFUL !

I went here with a living social so I was not expecting anything out of this world, but I saw no difference whatsoever. The doctor came in and had the consult and then sent in someone from his office to sell me way too hard on fillers. She was extremely pushy about it. I have a girlfriend who has had botox multiple times and confirmed that I should feel something as well as see a difference. I felt zero effects in the area injected and I saw no difference. When I went back to see him two weeks later, the doctor gave me more injections, but blamed the fact that I saw no difference on fillers and proceeded to sell me on the fillers again. Again, I get that it was a Living Social deal and you get what you pay for, but this really was not worth one one penny that was spent. Perhaps the full price customers get the real full strength injections. I had every intention of becoming one of those customers if I liked the results, but definitely not after this experience. If you are looking for fillers though, this doctor is a big fan of those!
