I recently brought my Omega Seamaster in to get a bezel replacement and also to verify it’s authenticity after having bought it online. I had priorly visited the Omega Boutique at Riverside Square Mall in Hackensack and had a pretty bad experience. The sales associate there was a very rude, and obnoxious lady that had absolutely no interest in either helping me get a new bezel. When I asked her to verify the watches authenticity, upon hearing that I bought my watch online, she rudely stated that it is most likely fake, without even taking a look at my watch. Needless to say, I wasn’t very satisfied. However, the experience at Short Hills was completely different. Artur, the technican treated me like I was buying a $ 40,000 new watch, and was polite every step of the way. On my initial visit, he told me he was going to order the new bezel, and later that week, he e-mailed me, asking for my watch’s serial number to verify that the bezel would fit. Within a few days, he called and told me that my bezel had arrived at the store, so I headed over to Short Hills and within an hour, I had a brand new looking watch. I should also note that when I arrived to drop off my watch for the replacement, Artur was on his lunch break, and in his absence, Victor, one of the sales associates handled the intake of my watch. He was extremely professional and very courteous. In addition, he showed me Omega’s newest models despite knowing I wasn’t about to buy a watch, and we had a great conversation about watches in general. It’s quite clear that he has a great knowledge of the Omega brand and is passionate about the watches that he sells. I left the Omega Boutique very satisfied with my experience and would reccomend anyone from people looking for their watch to be serviced to people looking to buy a new Omega to go to this Boutique as all of the employees are very polite, knowledgable, and professional.

She was very informative, accommodating and professional, which certainly made the process pleasant. She went above and beyond by following up via numerous emails and phone calls. Brought my Omega Planet Ocean in for service under warranty because the watch would stop running from time to time even when fully wound. As others have noted, the sales staff here are not the most knowledgeable about the products they sell(sad for such a high end store). The salesman showed little interest in understand the problem with my watch and asked ME to write about the problem on the service slip(isn’t that YOUR job?). He did, however, write down my contact information. When I told him I lived in Philadelphia, he wrote it as «Filadelphia.» The man was clearly not a natural born American, but come on. When I picked up the watch several weeks later, it came back to me in a cheap disposable clear plastic case. By comparison, when I send my Breitlings in for service, they come back in a beautiful travel case. This Omega Boutique has a long way to go in their customer service.

If I could, I would give this boutique 2.5 stars. But Artur(sales associate), deserves 5 stars. I recently went to this store twice on two different Sundays. Once to purchase a watch and a second time to have them change the bracelet on my watch with a rubber strap that I had purchased. On my first experience, the sales associate was very helpful. I highly recommend talking to Artur if you are considering buying a watch from Omega. He is very knowledgeable and actually took the time to talk watches with me. After making a purchase, I felt as if I was really taken care of very well. On my second trip to the store, Artur was unfortunately off that day. I asked another associate to for some help. The response was that he did not know how to change the strap and he did not want to break my watch. I guess that was good that he did not try to do something he was not qualified to do, but how could a store such as Omega not have a technician on hand for all hours the store is open. The«other» sales associate that I talked to did not even ask for help from any of the 3 or 4 other associates in the boutique. Either he did not want to make notice of his lack of skill or the associates just do not care that much about their customers. I found this quite unacceptable, especially because of the amount that they charge for their watches. All I can say is that if you really like Omega, find out when Artur is working and talk to him. You will not be disappointed by his knowledge and skill. As for the other employees, skip them.

I’m a big Omega fan so I was hoping to love this place — unfortunately it all comes down to who is working that day. Artur is great, he actually loves watches and likes what he does — ask him for by name when you go in there. Had a very good experience buying from him and sent a friend there who also had a good experience. The other salespeople seem to know as much about the watches as a random person off the street. I recently went in to buy a strap and have them install it, when they told me to come back another day(when Artur would be there to install it) because they had no one there who could do it. Seriously? At a boutique that won’t discount?!? Unacceptable.
