performed work as a sub for this company, I did about 4 days worth of work and then he never replied back to pay me what he owed me. he did some bad deeds to other customers. he is operating under a different name. be careful

We are seeking a refund and damage expenses from Dennis Sparano and Afton Crest Pools. The New Jersey Department of Consumer Affairs stated the Corporation of Afton Crest Pools no longer exists. Their Short Hills, NJ office is closed and they may have relocated to Basking Ridge, NJ and if they are continuing to operate, it is illegal. Dennis Sparano and Afton Crest Pools is a scam. Please be warned.

Attention, do not hire this contractor! We hired Mr Sparano the owner of AFTON CREST POOLS AND LANDSCAPING for doing several projects for us on the property we purchased last year to build a pool and a tennis court on + all landscaping. All the work he did was VERY slow and UNPROFESSIONAL, the project was supposed to be completed by March 30^th 2014 and as of now (June 18^th 2014) it’s still a long way from being done. We recently did some background check on him to find out what is causing all the delays and could not believe that he is part of 7 LAWSUITS in the state of New Jersey alone and has countless BAD REVIEWS and so many COMPLAINTS filed against him! He also deceived us about several permits that can cause us significant LEGAL RISKS and he actually currently has NO VALID contracting LICENSE AND INSURANCE!!! And sadly we will not be able to enjoy our pool and tennis court this summer thanks to this scheme artist! What a shame! Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT HIRE DENNIS SPARANO or any company he is associated with or you WILL get schemed. And be aware that he also has a company named THE IVY GARDEN. Our intention with this review is to spare any other victims he may come across.
