Never thought I would review a state liquor store or any other kind of liquor store for that matter. You see where I’m from liquor stores are plenty even in Walgreens and stuff, so no need to really review, but this is a specialty store! But anyways, this store is quite nice and in a great locale. Their selection is great, and the man who works there Del, is great for advice and he’s just all around friendly. I honestly do not care for the other lady who works there, she’s just acting like she needs a drink, to let loose a bit! Haha! Yes, this place is just like the other state run stores, but this one is a better locale and parking is awesome! Also don’t be trying to buy your moonshine with anything but government approved ID. This yahoo yesterday tried using his hospital ID bracelet as a legal form of ID! He got in a car wreck and his license fell out of the car, umm I am thinking maybe he shouldn’t be buying booze!

This liquor store, as said previously is OPENSUNDAY! Which is awesome. other than that, the staff is nice, they carry a great selection and are open to special orders. Also, once they start to recognize you, they wink and don’t card you anymore. What nice guys. Also, the clearance rack is usually a good bargain with a nice selection.

This store is OPENONSUNDAYS! That alone should get five stars. Brand new store with plenty of parking. The people there were nice and friendly, instead of surly and suspicious, like most liquor store employees. I was in and out of the store in about 3 minutes. I can’t believe they didn’t card me, but oh well. I guess I’m getting older. :*(

Yes, my local liquor store. I like the fact that I can walk there, and stop at the Starbucks nearby on the way home. They have a pretty good selection most of the time, and there are the occasional wine sales that engender very good deals. Downsides: they are always having problems with the debit card reader! Seems like every time we go in, the thing is down, or slow, or just inoperable. Ah well. The employees are friendly. Oh, but having it next door to a Gold’s Gym just makes us feel guilty about buying booze and not working out. Time to get rid of that gym!

I have to agree with Sean D. the further you get out of the general Seattle area these stores get less seedy. This store is brand spanking new, once located in the former Gateway Plaza strip mall, this is now in it’s new location in the brand new Gateway strip mall, man, is that confusing or what! Any-who… The store has plenty of parking, I mean it’s just a plus to find parking near these State run stores. Heck, I think it’s a requirement that most of these places do not come with a few parking spots. The store itself is very clean, stocked well and thankfully takes debt and credit cards… burrrrrp…hic… Most of the management staff know their products, some of the cashiers are part timers and don’t know as much, but the staff overall is friendly… hic… Cheers! hic…

Hmmm… The more I move north the better the stores seem to get. This has to mean something, but I’m not sure what. This store has a great deal of parking as it is located in a strip mall on Aurora. The staff was helpful and friendly and there where more then one of them working when I came here. It seemed rather busy and most of the costumers appeared to have all their teeth and didn’t smell bad. The store still has that awful state liquor store décor, but I guess I need to lower my expectations. The bad things about this store: 1. Its way to far away. No way am I driving to Shoreline to go to a Liquor Store. 2. Getting back on Aurora is a bitch, and its basically impossible if you try and head South. Other then that, this store gave me a small amount of hope in my quest…
