I tried to avoid a negative review for Dr. Marshall’s office by trying to resolve things directly, but they’ve refused to make things right, so I’m left with no choice. I found this dentist office after doing a search on my insurance company’s site for in-network dentists. I called Dr. Marshall’s office to confirm that they were in-network for my health insurance(which they did) and immediately scheduled cleaning appointments for my family. Turns out, Dr. Marshall’s office was not in-network for my health insurance. Do you know when I found this out? When they sent me a $ 600 bill in the mail – a month after our appointments. Do you know when Dr. Marshall’s office found this out? The day BEFORE our 1ST appointment. According to notes my health insurance company has on file, Dr. Marshall’s office called to confirm my health insurance coverage. At that time, my insurance provider advised this office that they were out-of-network. Instead of calling to let me know or telling me when I got to the office – before they provided services – they chose to withhold the information. They had PLENTY of time to divulge this info to me – at the very least before the 2nd appointment which was a week after our 1st. I emailed Dr. Marshall’s office to resolve and have them do, what I think would be, the right thing. I mean, don’t most businesses have a practice of saying, «We are sorry we gave you the wrong information; we will honor what we had told you»? Dr. Marshall’s office clearly doesn’t. Instead, their answer is, «We are sorry we misinformed to you, but we still want our money.» I understand sometimes a business CAN’T fix errors; but when a business WON’T, that’s different and simply wrong. Dr. Marshall’s office WON’T fix their error. There are a lot of good dentists out there. Why settle for one with dishonest business practices, who lacks care and concern for doing the right thing for their customer?

I made the mistake of going to a chain dentist and was very frustrated and let down. So, I searched for a dentist close to me, and I found Dr. Marshall a couple blocks away! I was super impressed right away. The receptionist was friendly and remembered my from the phone. They were one of the few dentists I called who A. had decent hours and B. were accepting new patients. The dental hygienist was nice, and Dr. Marshall was soft spoken but extremely pleasant! It was definitely one of the best dental visits I’ve ever had. Days later after my first check-up appointment I got a handwritten letter from the doctor and a typed letter explaining what they would be doing at my next appointment. Definitely one of the best dentists I’ve been to, and I highly recommend him!

I have been seeing Dr. Marshall since my teeth grew in– so a very long time now. I have always had exceptional service and always felt very comfortable. Sometimes as a kid, you are really nervous to go see the dentist; I often would rather have my tooth pulled than wait for it to fall out. Kay in the office is great about helping work out payment plans if you can’t afford everything at the time of the service, and Patty does an exceptional job with cleanings. I had my husband start going here not long after we started dating because he had a TON of cavities and the work was done in short order and he hasn’t had any issue with the qualities of his fillings. I myself have NEVER had a cavity, and while I’d like to pride myself on taking care of my teeth, I don’t take as good of care of them as I should. The care that I had growing up under Dr. Marshall has helped keep my teeth healthy. Great place to bring your kids! They are also great about getting people in for emergencies, and if they are unable to accommodate you they will give you a referral to an equally good place.
