I love this trail and I’ve only walked a small portion of it! I usually walk from Shoreline to Mountlake Terrace several days a week. Sometime the trail takes you behind businesses through some sketchy areas, then through a forested area, around a lake, along 99… The scenery is always changing! That’s good in case you need a rest, a bathroom, a drink, or to catch a bus because you can’t walk anymore. The trail is very well maintained and a great place to walk or ride your bike.

Decent. Near my home. Seen better, seen worse.

So there’s this paved road of sorts that spans from 145th and Linden/Auroraish, to what my google maps tells me Echo Lake Park. It has some overpasses built into the trail that are super cool, but a little confusing for a directionally challenged gal like me. I had to stop at Central Market to use the restroom and get a liquid pick-me-up, and ended up wandering around the triangle of 155th, Aurora and Westminister. At that juncture the trail actually crosses the street, and apparently does it a few times from the beginning to the end. There was a good amount of bikers along the path, and a small scattering of people, but not enough to really people watch. The biggest highlight for me was the almost unchecked growth of wild blackberries in their prime. There was a lot of stops between my apartment and Key Bank(my destination) to nom on some sweet and tart, albeit a little dusty, berries. The scenery was a bit abysmal. It was very dusty, dry and devoid of a lot of trees. Lots of browner shrubbery, with little park benches littered down the path. Despite this, it is a superior journey than trekking the traffic and sketchy people ridden Aurora that it parallels and I can definitely see myself walking it again.
