Affordable Steaming Carpet Cleaning

I would give zero stars. Do not buy the deal, he will have your money and never show up. Drove 100 miles to be at an appointment at old apartment that I set over a week ago. Spoke with company twice. This morning he never called not answered my calls until my husband called from a different phone number. The man then proceeded to tell me his machine was broken and I asked why he didn’t call to tell me. First he said that it was broken early this morning then he said it just died on him. I asked what do I do and he told me «there are 100 other fucking guys on Craigslist who do this job» and hung up on me. Me who is pregnant and drove 100 miles to be here at the appointment he schedule with me. Just walk away from this place walk away!

Rob of Affordable Steaming cleaned my carpet on 8÷9÷14 and damaged it! His cleaning caused white lines all over the carpet. I called him next day to seek solution and ask him to stop by my house to fix it. He said no and told me to walk on it and then he hanged up on me. I called him back but he did not answer his phone so I left him a message. He did not call me back to resolve the issue. Then on 8÷11÷14 I called another carpets cleaning company. They came and work on it for about 40 min. using different equipment /​processes and techniques. They said the carpet is damaged beyond repair. I contacted Rob again but he did not respond.

I called to schedule an appointment, and the girl took my info and made my appointment. She was starting to add on other charges to the estimate, yet the website clearly stated «$ 119 for single story house» so after brining that to her attention, she said it would be $ 119. Duh. Two days before my scheduled appointment, I broke a tooth and had to schedule the dentist for extraction, on the day the carpet guy was to come. I called, no answer, left a message. Hours and hours went by, no call back. I was worried he was going to show up and I wouldnt be here. I texted them. No response. I texted AGAIN and finally got one back with the new day/​time. Geez, thanks for finally responding.
We rearrange the house, pick up, go through all the effort for a 10 am service call. 10:32 and no guy, no call. Almost 11 am, I texted him. He says he had an emergency Dr appt. So now its going to be 12 pm. Ok. Then he texts me and asks for my address… this is what made me think he forgot about the appointment altogether. So I texted him my address. Then he says well now it will be 1 pm since I live far. It was known where I live when I made the appointment.
after reading reviews for this company I decided to call someone else, and texted him I am cancelling. He texts me back that hes not surprised since I wasnt happy with his service last year??? This is the first time I have ever called these people. How rude.

In and out in 30 minutes? Wham bam, thank you mam, I think I’ve been used! Thirty minutes is pretty quick for a feverish man in a 2200 square foot home.
Rob was on time, worked hard, but ultimately fell short. The carpets didn’t come out as hoped for. When I asked him about a specific spot in an upstairs bedroom, all he said was, «if it was a spot, it came out, if it was a stain, it didn’t.» C’mon Rob, how about, «let’s go up, take a look and see what we can do.»?
Next time, I pay the extra money and get a real company. As is often the case, you get what you pay for.

Called to have a very large and dirty sectional couch cleaned. Rob quoted me a very reasonable price over the phone and I made an appointment. He showed up on time with a helper and wasted no time getting set up and started. They laid out a tarp over their work area as to not disturb anything else. Did a good job and my couch looks much better.
I noticed a bad 1 star review from Lirpa T. I would not pay this any attention. If you look at her other reviews, you will see she trashes almost every company she deals with. If everywhere you go you have a problem, maybe you should take a second look at the real cause of your problems (Hint: you will need a mirror to do this).

Rob has cleaned my carpets twice in 6 months, and both times he was prompt, did excellent work, and was very professional, reasonably priced, and a sweet person. Originally he was a cold call on craigslist for me, but now I will call him whenever I need clean carpets, clean tile floors, or clean upholstery. The one-​star post from Lirpa T. on 11÷8÷2011 is from an unscrupulous competitor — don’t hesitate to try Rob, you will be pleased.

I had service done by Rob Gardner from this company in 2010–
He was NOT licensed bonded or insured even though a few of the advertisments around the web said he was.
Should have done my homework.
He ruined some of our carpets and instead of showing up to help us out, he yelled and hung up on us.
Too much water on the stairs and no fans = mildew 4 days later.
This COULD have been fixed…
He has since changed his number and address and removes my reviews from every website.
Beware.
