I purchased an item from this shop, was told it was on a long backorder and so I cancelled it. Months later they asked if I still wanted the item. I said no. Scandinavian Grace sent it anyway. I have since been involved in a time consuming dispute with American Express, as this shop lied and said they never received the item back, though I promptly returned it using their fed ex shipping label. They are unresponsive and dishonest.

An adorable mustached young man was closing up for the day/night when we pulled up to this store/coffee house. He was so kind and reopened for us. We bought a slew of graphic vintage tees, a vintage kaftan and a toy and a piece of art for our daughter. The space is amazing and the product is well curated. We are heading back to Woodstock in a few weeks and will def be stopping in!

The owner Frederik is a truly sweet guy. Very relaxed store with some great classic modern design. Great place to purchase from brands like Ittala. And the owner has always beaten everyones price so I do all my shopping here for the brands he carries. I haven’t had any trouble with the turnaround time of items ordered. There’s always something different to look at so I find it entertaining to make this my rest stop/coffee shop — though it’s dangerous if your a design addict :)

Appealing structure from the outside, unappealing on the inside. Very low inventory and not terribly unique. And rude sales staff. Actually, I’m not sure if there was a sales staff. The man behind the coffee counter was so busy laughing and talking to his buddies, that he completely ignored me the entire time I was in the store. It wasn’t until I literally opened the door to leave, that he decided to acknowledge my presence by saying, «bye.»

Driving along Route 28 in the Catskills, you’d not expect to be able to simultaneously quench a craving for Swedish flatbread and sleek kitchenware, but in a surrealistic twist, that’s just what you can achieve at this attractive spot. Inside this cavernous, garage-like space, you will find furniture, housewares, and gift items reflecting a clean, minimalist, yet somehow rustic aesthetic. You’ll also find a pleasant coffee bar and café, where you can enjoy delicious chocolate cake and freshly brewed coffee, among other treats. There’s also a small but appealing selection of Scandinavian grocery enliven your weekend in the country. And the homemade quiche was top-notch. An interesting and truly unique stop along beautiful Rte. 28.
