I love the pizza there, its always fresh and taste great. The girls are very sweet and work hard. I think some of it seems a little overpriced but when the power goes out at home or we just don’t want to have to go down the hill, its worth it. Some of the reviews on here seem a little harsh, I mean its a little mountain mom and pop kind of environment. The bar side of the restaurant seems to be fun, haven’t spent much time over there but people seem friendly.

The pizza was good but I feel that the scheduling was planned out very poorly resulting in bad customer service let me explain… from what I observed management has these poor girls running back and forth from the pizza side and the bar area You should have waitresses for each individual section that way your not wearing out your good workers.

Visited this pizza place to grab a quick lunch after camping at Lassen. It’s located in Shingletown which is about 30mins away from the camp grounds. We got a grilled cheese, chicken sandwich and veggie pizza. Going in with no expectations, the food actually wasn’t too bad. The pizza had a decent amount of toppings and the sandwiches came with fries. Place is nothing fancy but there aren’t too many other options close by. On the downside, the service was slow. It took about 40mins to get our order out and we were the only customers at the time. The pizzas were overpriced as well with a small specialty pie starting at $ 18 ranging up to a large at $ 28.

Horrible!!! $ 50 for a medium and large«PIZZA» or whatever you want to call it. I would have been better off going to shingletown market and buying a frozen pizza. Completely flavorless all around! Ordered pepperoni pizza with extra pepperoni and to be honest it could have passed as a cheese pizza. The two pieces I did choke down of that whatchamacallit so called pizza tasted like salted cardboard, not to mention the place is absolutely no where near sanitary. Absolutely gross!!! How do they stay in business? The one star was forced, and never going back!

We had dinner here last week while vacationing in the area. They have a variety of menu items. Our pizza was good and prices reasonable, but the service left something to be desired. No one welcomed us upon arrival, and neither of the two working in the restaurant smiled or were friendly, they seemed only to tolerate their patrons. We were directed to the adjoining bar for beer, but no one was there providing service even though there were customers present. After waiting nearly 10 minutes, we had to ask someone in the restaurant to locate the bartender. I’d skip the dining experience and recommend this place for takeout.

We were staying in this town for a night. There is not much choice for food. We went here and ordered pizza. The quality was ok and overpriced as mentioned in other reviews. The place is not well maintained. I guess the kitchen exhaust was not working. So the dining area is filled with cooking smoke. There were many flies. The two behind the counter weren’t the friendliest. I guess the owner was on the other side managing the bar.

A group of 6 very hungry souls, we ordered 3XL pizzas. Their crust is second to none. The place doesn’t look like much but they can produce a superior pie! If your headed toward the National Park on 44 out of Redding this place is a great place to eat a pizza. Good ;olé white box pizza. They also making screaming burgers and other stuff.

4 of us for dinner. We got a family pizza combo that included a large 2 topping pizza, 4 salads and 4 drinks with unlimited refills. The salads were iceburg lettuce, chopped up tomatoes and grated cheese with dressing on the side. The pizza was very large for a large(we didn’t finish it) with a thin crust and limp. The pepperoni was under the cheese and the pizza was very salty. The total was under $ 30 which I thought was reasonable. If I were going back, I would try something besides the pizza.

My wife and I were camping nearby, decided to make a pizza run. This place is pretty small and has a bar next door. It’s kinda old and dirty, but in a cool small-towny way. The guy behind the counter was nice enough, gave us menus right away. We got Hawaiian with onions, the canadian bacon was under the cheese which is different. The pizza was great! The onions were strong, but not in a bad way, just stood out as different from other pizza joints. A medium pizza with 3 toppings was over 20 bucks which seems way overpriced to me. If it’ weren’t for the price, I’d give this place a much higher review based on our visit. If you’re starving, near Shingletown and cost is no object, check it out!

Really would give this 3.5 stars if I could :) Cute little dive bar in Shingletown and one of the few restaurant choices out here unless you want to venture down to Redding. Good pizza(albeit a tad on the expensive side as far as pizza goes) and cold, frosted beers(pretty good bar selection and awesome bartenders!) Also manages to whip up a pretty mean chilli cheese fries. Friendly service with a different theme for every night(one of the nights we went was a 70s party!)

Two stars only because it’s relative to a small selection of eateries in Shingletown. A previous comment was to «call ahead.» Holy cow, is that good advice. It’s like they don’t know how to prepare more than one thing at once. We ordered one calzone, one pizza, two orders fish and chips and three grilled sandwiches. It took an hour and fifteen minutes! And they were not busy at all. The calzone came out at about 55 minutes, the pizza about 5 minutes later, 10 minutes later for the sandwiches, and finally the fish and chips. The food doesn’t suck. But it’s mediocre at best. Not worth the wait. .. except that you won’t find much else in town. The staff is nice enough; they just don’t know how to run a kitchen, I guess. If this was in Sacramento, it would get a big fat zero from me.

Really the only place to go in Shingletown. The pizza is delish! They also whip up pretty good salads and offer a variety of yummy burgers. The environment is whatever… it’s a super small town pizza joint/bar so you wouldn’t expect something trendy. The pizza place is literally connected to the bar(there’s a joining door between them). The bar is pretty dinky, but somehow they squeezed in a pool table and shuffleboard. We’re all about the shuffle board, only problem is the lack of space to play. There is literally a door that opens into one of the playing ends. I’ve played shuffleboard there twice and already had somone open the door directly into me! Not so cool. Overall the pizza is yummy, burgers are tasty and the bar is divey. But hey, some of us dig dive bars :)

Starving and on a mission for a decent bite to eat my husband and I roll in to Shingletown from the local campground and decide, Mmmm pizza. Décor is older but things seemed semi clean. A man and a woman are standing behind the counter(10 ft from front door). We walk in, go up to the counter… and then listen to their conversation wondering exactly how long we could stand there before we were acknowledged. The answer? 2 minutes until my husband asked if we could look at a menu. 2 minutes is an ETERNITY being an observer to idle chit chat.(she is going back to school, will be able to give her kid a ride, will be giving her two weeks which the man agreed is the right thing to do… you don’t want to leave in a bad way…) We looked at the menu and then chose to seek lunch elsewhere, deciding the entire thing felt off and unpleasant.

Extremely overpriced and not very good also connected to a bar so it might as well be in the bar.

There is no fast food in Shingletown. Call in advance to order or you’ll have quite a long wait. The pizza hits the spot. The atmopshere is everything Shingletown – a brown and green rural masterpiece. The parking lot is not large, but I’m sure you’ll be able to find an alternative for your backhoe/4×4/RV/olsmobile cutlass
