I liked this place. More inviting than the former occupants of this spot, and I like their coffee better too. Finally some good coffee in Shingle Springs.

What a great place to eat. The food was excellent and big portions. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is like home. We had a party of 7 so had to wait for a table but it was also Fathers Day. The food was worth the wait.

I have been a long-time customer to this restaurant I used to go there quite frequently but lately the food has been really bad I believe that something must have happened because things are quite different I did get some bad food in the past but I thought that might have been a new assistant cook or some other excuse however I’ve ordered some food today and this was the draw for me. Today I ordered the hot dog Reuben Style and it’s supposed to come with sauerkraut and no butter and the meat supposed to be nice and fresh and the dish is supposed to look nice when you open the box because it was to go I will share some pictures so you can see it for yourself I don’t recommend to go there it is not the same as he used to be the food looks like somebody just slap it on there and there’s too much butter and he’s crazy and the french fries were old and hard I think nowadays we must be more self-conscious and aware as of a society to eat more healthy and put less poison in our bodies.

Omg what a find. Great food. Had the buffalo chicken salad and hubby had BBQ beef sandwich. So good. The staff is a wonderful group of people who walk around singing rock songs to the radio. Good food great place.

Great food. Service is to be expected with a busy place, and they stay busy for a reason! If you want to come to a place where the waitresses coddle you like children try A Denny’s. This is a local restaurant that supports it’s community and in return is supported by the community. At most times you’ll find a Sheriff’s Deputy or Fire department personnel in here. Just read the signs on the wall when you walk in and you’ll know if you are welcome or not.

I personally wouldn’t recommend this place. Upon walking in no one greeted me for at least ten minutes I had to walk up to one of the waitresses. I ordered food to go and while waiting I watched one of the bussers clear a table, he took a cup of half finished coffee from the table and dumped it back into the coffee pot. If that doesn’t make you lose your appetite I don’t know what will. The kitchen looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in months. I have no idea how the health department hasn’t shut this establishment down, with as many health code violations I saw within the 20 minutes I was there. The food was not great half of the country fried potatoes were black and rotten and the biscuits and gravy were bland. Definitely won’t be returning.

This has nothing to do with the food. My review is purely based on an employee working there. She called my company and was demanding, rude, and very condescending. I tired many times to explain to her that we aren’t the same company she is looking for, and she argued with me that we have our products(cups) for sale in their restaurant. She called again, asking to speak to my boss and when I told her I would be the person to help her, she once again was VERY rude and hung up the phone since I «clearly wasn’t trying to help her«…Please understand Patty, we also run a small local company and we pride ourselves in customer service. Whether we are speaking to our customers face to face, or we are the voice of our business, its important to remember that little bit of added respect. It was a very small misunderstanding that kept you calling us, but if you took a moment from being extremely rude, you would have heard me say multiple times that we are not across the street from you. I find it very sad that a little diner such a this one would have such an angry person on their phones, and that alone would keep myself and my family from ever bringing our business in.

Great food, amazing atmosphere, and the staff are absolutely the best. Whether you’re old or young at heart this diner is the bees knees. Also try the chicken fried steak and eggs benedict both are super good and also delicious and also you should try them both.

I came here for the first time with my mom yesterday because she really like this place. I am not really a fan of the cluttered look but or the fact that you can see the kitchen that doesn’t look to clean from where I sat. I’m guessing it’s suppose to feel more homey? Anyway I ordered a pretty basic breakfast, eggs, sausage, fruit, and a biscuit. Everything was good, the fruit was pretty fresh but I wasn’t crazy about the biscuit. My mom got the sausage patty with hash browns, eggs and biscuits and gravy she loves their gravy, seems like it’s made from scratch so that’s cool. Although I thought it was odd that the waitress dropped our check off when she first checked on us we still got awesome service and I will most likely go back!

Always the best place to dine. You could order water from this establishment and somehow it would be amazing! Everything on their menu is super good! Love that they make us feel like family!

It’s your average breakfast place, casual ambience. The food is good but not great. Most of ours was cold. The service is good I’ve never had a problem with that. My personal favorite are the crepes with bananas and vanilla yogurt, yum!

Is it really necessary that one needs to ask when ordering that the English muffins be toasted for eggs Benedict? That’s what the waitress told me. Sorry but any cook that puts a meal out like that doesn’t care and should be fired. And any waitstaff that would just say, «you should have told me you wanted those toasted» should be fired as well. Needless to say I’ll never be eating at this sorrowful joint again!

Cleanliness rate 0 The place is filthy from seating area, walls floors and bathrooms. The place needs a remodel Service rate 2– our gal, a thin athletic blonde gal didn’t smile once, my kids both said she hates working there. We got what we asked for but no going out of her way for anything. Food rate 3 The portions were good but nothing special here. $ 31 tab for 3 meals that were in my opinion pricey for what we ate. Economy probably dictated that. Exterior rate 2 This place is outdated and as you walk in from the left, the patio is open and no dunking… It looks like a storage lot full if junk. Come on Cameron Park/Shingle Springs… You need to step up your game… We are looking like a dump compared to the EDH region who property values are better… for a reason

If I had a zero stars option I would give them zero because a place is only as good as the staff. I am in Placerville for a memorial and this was suggested by dear friends of mine saying that it was close to home and the food was decent. Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to try the food because of the absolutely terrible service. As we get in the restaurant we stood by the front door with 8 people for a few minutes without being greeted. Working in the restaurant industry and seein that they were ignoring is we took it upon ourselves to fun a table that would suit 8 people. Still have not been approached by any employee. There were 2 tables against the wall that we attempted to combine to seat ourselves because we still had not been greeted. The server finally greeted us only to yell at us saying«I don’t come into your house and start moving the furniture» and«you’re gonna be in trouble». Then she ran and yelled to who I assume is the manager to come deal with us. As to my complete surprise she was more rude than the server. The tables were already back in the original position and we politely asked to be seated. When the manager was still being rude we said maybe we should go somewhere else. She blatantly said«maybe that would be best» As a business manager that was close to my business owner I always took the customers into consideration before acting. If I owned this business I would reassess my staff an management but since it is a local business that obviously caters to the locals that won’t happen.
