Marilyn is a class act. She has a solid reputation, deep local knowledge, a great team, and a large network of referrals. She had a recommendation for everything that came up. And not only that, but her referrals treated us very well. I had been trying to get last minute projects done before we went on the market, and kept hitting dead ends with local contractors. They either wouldn’t return my calls at all or told me they were too booked. Marilyn gave us a number and boom! The guy was there within days with a couple of helpers and in one afternoon they knocked out everything from the cracked tiles and electrical outlets in the kitchen to the flooring in the master bathroom. I had similar experiences with the other vendors she recommended.
We had some hiccups (first buyer walked) but we trusted Marilyn’s instincts, followed all of her advice, and it paid off: our house showed well, received a lot of interest, and sold very quickly for more than list price.

I have nothing but praise for Marilyn and her team. Marilyn clearly explained all aspects of the process and was happy to spend extra time answering questions. We reviewed the comps and set the price at the lower end; the house sold in 3 weeks. There were a few issues closing escrow and Marilyn’s staff kept us well informed of the details each step of the way. I couldn’t be happier with how things worked out.

The overall process went as expected and Marilyn’s team did their job. The problems I had were after close of escrow and involved undisclosed water damage and extensive repairs. All-​in-​all Marilyn did everything she could to make things right and I was very impressed with her handling of me as a client even after all the checks cleared. Her team came through in the end and they are an honorable and respectful group of professionals.

Beware of Marilyn. She lied to me about an issue on the sale of my home. It cost me $ 8K. She told me I should have had an attorney with me when I signed the papers. I guess she was right. So don’t forget your to bring your attorney!

Marilyn and her ENTIRE TEAM did a great job with recommending and coordinating repairs prior to listing, taking professional photos, open house, additional broker open house, excellent marketing efforts, coordinating signing docs through docusign, negotiations and the list goes on. We needed to sell our home fast due to a job relocation and that’s exactly what they did. Our home sold and CLOSED ESCROW in TWO MONTHS after the day we listed. Sale price was even better than anticipated.

I worked with Marilyn to sell my home. I felt she was very professional and she explained her team approach to marketing my home. I knew that she would list my home and that there would be others that I would work with on the various aspects of selling my home, from following up on those who visited my home with a survey that went to the realtor showing my home and then me receiving that survey so as to know what that potential buyer was thinking. She had a video prepared about my home that was professional and beautiful. After viewing I was wondering why I was selling. The home sold in 3 days and closed in 2 months. Different members on her team helped during the different aspects of the close. Although I did not have as much contact with Marilyn as I did in the beginning, I knew that if I needed to speak with her, she would return my calls and emails. I can see that if you want a realtor to do every aspect of the sale (crawling under the house) so to speak, she may not be your person, but if you are realistic about selling (Fair Market Price = where a willing buyer and a willing seller have a meeting of the minds and a sale takes place), Marilyn would be a good choice. There are many great realtors out there, but it takes a little effort to find out their reputation and how they will work for you. When I have sold homes in the past, I do not look at who is my friend, I look at who is number one in the county and choose them. I have never been disappointed.

Ms Goff was the seller’s agent in our interaction. I don’t know if it was because the sellers were jerks and she couldn’t deal with them, or she was overwhelmed with her myriad overpriced, unsold listings, but she/​they were unresponsive and flaky. I know going in that a Goff listing will be highly overpriced and she will be awol. Just look at the length of time her listings languish on the market, with bloated prices, before going to short sales to get an idea of what you’ll get.

Recently put in an offer on one of her listings and it was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a realtor! She is so unprofessional it is unbelieveable, buyers beware. Even if I were to find the perfect house I will pass it by if it is another Marilyn Goff listing.
