High cliff has been a staple of the fox valley for awhile. It’s a nice layout close to lake Winnebago. The front 9 is pretty tight and requires you to keep it in the fairway. A few holes go right along the state park. The back 9 is much more open. Drainage was an issue last year and it always seemed like after it rained it took forever for the course to dry out. Fairways are very bumpy and uneven. Whoever selects pin placements should be fired. This isn’t a mini golf course where you score points for«most difficult shots». There were several times where the pin was literally on the side of a slope on the green, one time less than 3 feet from the fringe on a rather large green. A couple years ago the place was pretty rough but new owners have been making improvements. I believe a couple new tees are being added to change it up.
