Just go there! Most excellent steak house around. Wonderful salad bar. HUGE portions. Very attentive and knowledgeable staff and owners that treat you like family. If you are looking for a nice place for an evening out go check them out. You will not be disappointed.

When the reviews said the wait was worth it I was skeptical — boy were they right! Food was AMAZING! BESTSTEAKSEVER! Tiffany, our waitress, was attentive and right on que. A visit to our table from the owner was the perfect touch.

This is the old school steakhouse where everything is homemade from the cocktail sauce to the desert. The steaks are fantastic. The filet cuts like knife thru butter and tastes so good. It was the freshest meat I have ever had. The salad bar is outstanding too. They have some weird hours so check before you go but it’s worth every dime. Don’t be surprised if the owner comes out to see you every time you come in.

Meat quality is the best — even better than many fancy places in Charlotte. The environment is beautiful, the staff is friendly and prompt, and the salad bar is the best we’ve ever had! Sweet potatoes are AMAZING! I always order steaks well-done and it’s not easy to make a well-done steak juicy, flavorful, and delicious but Lineberger’s perfects it every time.

Highly disappointed. Thinking it’s under new something. Been going here for about 3 years for prime rib and last few times. Disappointed to say the least. Last time was last night. Ordered prime rib medium rare. It was well done. Obviously to anyone with eyes. Waitress had to get manager. He said yes it is. Ok. Brought another. It was maybe medium. I don’t like to complain but 37.00 for the thick cut and not happy. I just took it home for the dog and I’m not going back ever! The gray haired manager needs a little more tact. Salad bar was good as was steamed broccoli thankfully. Sad really. I wondered why it wasn’t crowded. There was a Christmas party and I overheard they were treated the same way.

Lineberger’s was great. We used to go to Lineberger’s every year on our anniversary and a few times in between, however we haven’t been in a while because our last experience was not the best. So, we gave it another try last weekend and it was great! There was no wait time for a table, the waitress was great, the Sangria was great and the food was excellent. The salad bar was fresh and had«real» iceberg lettuce on it! No complaints! Glad we gave it another try. Great date night spot!

Upon recommendations from several friends tried Lineberger’s Steakhouse for a nice dinner out. It did not disappoint. The motifs was a little dated but I think that’s what they were going for. The food however was anything but outdated. I had the 12oz ribeye and my wife had the florentine stuffed portobello sirloin. Let me tell you neither of us walked away let down or still hungry. The staff is very friendly and the timeliness of the food was second to none. If you are ever in the area please make a point to give them a try!

Not really a salad bar person but this one is really quite good. It is fresh and constant turnover Filet is excellent. Very large baked potatoe and sweet potatoe. Would have liked fresh sour cream and butter. Otherwise very good meal. Have come back several times and they are consistent

Wonderful as always. Our server was fantastic. I wish I could remember his name, he had dark hair! This is the second time he has been our server and he is the best ever. Totally on top of his game. The salad bar is always a favorite of ours, very fresh and well stocked! And the main event aka our steaks were fantastic ! Perfectly cooked and melt in your mouth. My husband likes a seasoned steak so he loves their blackened version.

Poor quality steaks and prime rib, salad bar lady cuts you off to snare a stray pinto

You know Lineberger’s has great tasting steaks when you eat a steak elsewhere and talk about how it compares to Lineberger’s! The steaks are so good, I believe every cow’s last request should be to become a Lineberger’s steak. This is our of our very favorite restaurants in the area. The service is always amazing, and the owner, Ralph, is always circulating around the restaurant talking with his customers. The salad bar is insanely good– it’s the centerpoint of the restaurant, and it has some unusual items, such as pickled watermelon and prime rib salad. Writing this review is making me hungry. I’m feeling a Lineberger’s hankering coming on now…

I have never had a bad steak here and we’ve been coming for years. The filet is so tender you can cut it with a fork, seasoned and cooked perfectly for you. The salad bar has something for everyone. Come early the place does fill up.

There salad bar is pretty good again not mind blowing but good, Ive always found the staff to be very good and frendly, the steaks are again good nothing mind blowing for the money I would expect alitlle more maybe its just me. This place has a strong foot hold with the locals which is good to see, but its something to try if you out looking for a good meal, but again its alittle on the expensive side so be prepared

Delicious steak. Tender, well aged beef. Perfectly cooked to order every single time. Reasonably priced. Small, but well stocked salad bar, that is constantly replenished. Competent, attentive wait staff. Extremely crowded on the weekend… arrive early or at 7:45 p.m. for no wait. Immediate seating during week nights. If you’re craving a great steak or prime rib, come here and you won’t be disappointed. (I reserve five star steak house ratings for places such as Peter Lugar.)

This place is excellent but admittedly not for everyone. It’s near the lake but in the more country part and still family owned. The steaks are why people come here, they pick the best steaks and never freeze them. It’s in their blood, ask of the managers, they will tell you all about how the meats are selected, cooked and prepared. Granted the décor is a little dated and it is a little laid back but those things come with a family restaurant. Give it a try, take in the atmosphere and have a great steak at a great all in price, includes local salad bar(complete with pickled watermelon rinds), steak and a side(the loaded sweet potato with brown sugar and butter is the way to go).

I had not been to Lineberger’s for years. Hubby suggested it as a date night. He had never been, so we made the trek up to Denver from Gastonia. This is NOT a fancy restaurant. Do not come in a suit and tie. Do wear stretchy pants. You will need them. First, the Salad Bar… which can be a meal in itself. Homemade dressings. Seafood Salad, Pecan Chicken Salad, too much to choose from. Appetizers. We had the potato skins. They were done. Not half cooked. We ate a couple and saved the rest. If my memory served me correctly, we would not be having dessert. I chose the Ribeye with Garlic and Herb Crust. My husband had the straight 12 oz Ribeye. I only had to use my knife twice. That’s how tender the meat was. The potato was cooked completely. I didn’t bother with the bread. I was eating the important stuff. I have always wanted to try the desserts. Never have made it to them. They have Homemade Cheesecake. Brownie a la mode. But I was having to roll myself out as it was… the waitress did tell us there were wheelbarrows in the back for that reason. Sigh! Maybe we’ll make the trek again for Appetizers and Desserts. Sure would like to try that cheesecake.

I came here for a company outing on a nice evening. They are near the water on Lake Norman but they there is no dining room view of the lake which was a bit of a bummer. They have a large selection for their salad bar: beside the go-to salad items, they also have crab salad, pasta salad, tuna salad… you name it! For my entrée I had a Trail Boss which is a 10-oz steak. I ordered a medium but it turned out to be almost well-done with was a letdown. The steak itself looked as if it was completely burnt but that’s just how it’s suppose to be. I did like the crispiness except that the middle was overcooked. My co-worker’s steak had a perfect pink ring, however so it probably was just my steak that was overcooked. For dessert I had a hot-fudge sundae and it was really just mediocre. LCC was rated for the«best steak in the state» by a local magazine, but I just wasn’t that impressed The price was pretty good though, for $ 25 you can get a nice 10 oz steak

My family & I have been going to Lineberger’s for years… I would like to give three and a half stars, but bumping it up to four due to portions & salad bar. The staff is friendly & efficient. The décor is what you would expect from a restaurant deemed a «steakhouse.» You almost feel like you’re in Texas… the walls are graced with Indian pictures, lots of wood detail throughout the restaurant. The salad bar is extensive; it offers a lot of toppings & someone stands guard, constantly straightening up/cleaning up & adding to the containers. In fact, there’s so much to choose from, that they offer the salad bar as a stand alone meal option. Everything is fresh. Be careful though, don’t fill up on the one trip salad bar if you’re ordering an entrée. Nine times out of 10, I get the(cooked to order) chopped steak. I’m very happy that they now offer more sides than the typical fries or baked potato. Now, you can choose between those, fried onion«straws/curls», sweet potato, steamed vegetables, or garlic mashed potatoes. Last night I decided on the garlic mashed potatoes. The chopped steak comes with grilled onions & fresh bacon bits. I am never disappointed! The hamburger is cooked throughly & still juicy. The garlic mashed potatoes were just«ok» to me. They were kind of dry. My other family members got prime rib, Delmanico, & the peppercorn crusted steak(again, pricey meals). They got the assorted potato offerings & overall were pleased with their meals. Again, they overloaded on the salad bar… :D Other notes: The wait staff checks on you just enough. Beverage glasses are kept full. Garlic Texas toast comes out with your meal. As Jim noted, they are very familiar with large groups & are always willing to accommodate. The restaurant itself is a pretty big size, with a large parking lot. Be prepared to spend a good bit of money here. My chopped steak price at $ 13.89, I believe is the cheapest entrée. The portions are pretty large though & luckily, they offer to go boxes. LIneberger’s is pretty popular, so get there early, so you’re not waiting. People have been known to wait over an hour just to get a table. They’re only open for dinner & closed on Sundays & Mondays.
