On the third Friday of every month, Texoma Pride Wrestling(now known simply as NWA Texoma) puts on a pro wrestling show in Sherman, TX. It’s no frills, old school, and entertaining as hell. The Elks Lodge where the show is put on is bare bones, and the prices are super affordable($ 10 for ringside seats/$ 6 for 2nd row). The shows typically run 2 hours, although the last one I saw was 2 ½ hours in length. The people are nice, the crowd is loud and into the matches, and the vibe is relaxed. If you’re a fan of pro wrestling, it’s a fun night out where you can kick back, yell your head off, and watch some quality, old school pro wrestling. My only complaint(and it’s a VERY minor one) is a lack of organization at the merch table. I purchased a t-shirt and was initially overcharged, which was quickly corrected by yours truly. Also, I asked for an XL shirt and was given on, except is was a women’s XL. I read the ‘XL’ on the tag and tossed it in a bag, so I was less than thrilled when I got home and tried it on. I’m 220 pounds… it didn’t go very well. Oh well, the shirt was only $ 5, which is a steal for a t-shirt. I’ll just shrink it and my wife can wear it to bed. Lemons into lemonade… Texoma’s recent partnering with the historic National Wrestling Alliance should mean and big influx of talent into their shows as well, meaning they’re only gonna get better and better. Check ‘em out. It’s worth the drive. Bring cash, no credit card machines that I saw.
