I’m in and out. Who wants to hang around a gas station. So far I have not been able to clean my wind shields due to the buckets being dryer than a desert. The outside is always busy no matter what time I seem to try to fill up or stop to grab a drink. My expectations were not too high for cleanliness. hey, is a gas station. Right?

I stop here anytime I am in Sherman because they are as cheep as any of the locations in town for gas while being the easiest station to get to from 82 east/75 south.

What a pleasure it is writing this only I wish it could have been a positive 5 star experience. After receiving bad service at Walmart and the other gas stations around town. I recently discovered this Exxon to be at it’s best for customer service until tonight. I walk in just to get an ice tea and a pack of smokes and it turned out to be a disgrace! I get to the register after waiting awhile with it being very busy and only one guy on the registers, This sales clerk has served me before and have never had a problem. I ask for a pack a cigarettes and all of a sudden ask for my ID(ok? you’ve attended to me twice now and never ID’ed me and now your wanting to see an ID?) I whip it out and let him see it only instead of just checking the photo and date of birth, he starts trying to tamper with it debating over if it’s real or not. For the record I used to work for DPS in Austin creating these ID’s and I know a fake one when I see one and so should he being a counter clerk. When I try to get my ID back from him he thinks that I’m being rude when your looking at all of my personal information and thinking it’s fake. 2 years ago, a counter clerk was fired from a gas station for refusing my ID. When I’m pretty sure it’s against the law to refuse a state issued ID. So instead of this being a pleasant experience it turned out into disappointing one. When the second clerk showed up to open the next register she was disgusted as much as I was that he would not sell me a pack of cigarettes, when she too has served me in the past(at least someone remembers their customers and can see how rediculous it is to turn away a repeat customer over something as simple as just asking for a pack of smokes). A lot of thinks bothered me about this incident: 1) you should recognize faces(your customers) 2) you should be able to recognize someone under the age of 21 when you see one 3) you should not be carding customers who have purchased restricted products from you before, you should have done so the first time you saw them not the third time 4) the customer is always right, I know it’s the law to ID but if you want to keep your job as an sales attendant it is very important you keep them happy and not pissed off at you. Not to mention the people waiting in line behind me thought this was the most rediculous thing they’ve ever seen! I left my phone on the counter as I was walking out and the man behind me very generously ran out to me to give it back saying«I’m sorry you had to deal with that, that was really unacceptable service». on a second note: stay out of the car wash. their wash blades broke off my side mirror on my Mercedes costing me $ 800 to repair only if they would have switched out the hardened worn out brushes, and was so rough that after coming out of it I found my license plate bent in half breaking the plate frame along with a mirror hanging from the door!
