Excellent vegetarian restaurant. Everything we ordered, from the«chicken» to the mushroom kabobs to the phase Thai were delicious and high quality. The waitresses were knowledgable and professional. Parking is a little problem, you may need to park at another strip mall across the street.

I been going to this place for the last 5 years, enjoying each time. Their massaman curry is the best. Last night I took my friend which have never tried any vegan food and you could see his skeptical face changing 180 from. As we were eating my friend just kept on enjoying the food while promising to comeback.

So the food here is fantastic! Always consistent! The buddha wrap is so amazing I sometimes have two orders to myself after a workout while I smh at the super long line at In-n-Out across the street. Why wait for that crap when you can have organic, fiber rich, healing foods with so much flavor instead?

I’m currently here. I think the service is terrible. The food is meh. I don’t really think it’s the best place. I mean try it once why not but its not THAT great. I would go somewhere els. Like there was hair in my water. Why is there hair in WATER. But I gotta say many people have been coming in and out trying to get food to go. So whatever take a risk. And to top it off I feel sick.

3.5STARS Pulled into a very busy parking lot, as per the usua around here. If you live nearby, do yourself a favor and walk — if not, expect to circle around for awhile unless you happen to luck into a quick spot. There’s a lot going on in this shopping center and not enough parking spaces to keep up. We entered an energetic restaurant Wednesday evening. I was pretty surprised to see so many tables occupied at 9P. I liked it! Helped validate our decision to dine here. Clearly the neighborhood likes this place. My sister and I had decided on trying veSTATION and not labeling it as Vegan/Vegetarian when we told my son we were coming here, also left that part out for my boyfriend too — both of which aren’t the biggest fans of soy«chicken». We just called it Thai. My son ordered the Pad See U and seemed to enjoy it, my sister ate his fake chicken although I saw him try it and he didn’t seem to mind it too much. I picked out most of the broccoli from this dish and it was delish! The kale could have used some massaging down. My sister, boyfriend and I shared the Pad Thai(w/«chicken») and Yellow Curry(w/Tofu) atop brown rice. These two dishes were tasty. It wasn’t my favorite Yellow Curry ever but the Tofu was really good and I enjoyed both of these. We skipped on dessert since it was getting late but I will surely visit again. Nice first experience, besides sitting under their AC vent that was blowing much too cold and was never turned off after I requested. Bring a jacket, this may be one of those places that actually gets a lot of business and needs to freeze their customers out so they eat and leave to accommodate more guests. Who knows? All in all, our first trip was a success.

If you are loin for fast quick delicious healthy Thai that doesn’t taste«vegan» then this is the restaurant for you. My carnivore husband who can’t stand the taste of tofu enjoys this place as much as I do equally. This place knows how to do vegan food without comprising on taste or texture. They can make most of their dishes gluten free with their gluten free sauce and tastes just as great. We always order their pad Thai and their cauliflower fried rice which is by ft my favorite dish on the menu. It has the same feel of eating fried rice without all the unnecessary carbs. It has the crunch from edamame, chickpeas and tons of vegetables. Their must try dessert is the black rice pudding with coconut cream. It’s far better than the normal sticky rice and mango dessert that you get at every thai restaurant. It’s unique taste is enjoyable and not overly sweet with the crunch of lotus seeds and the chunks Taro making this dessert a wonderful and exciting sweet ending to any meal.

The Pad Thai was honestly so flippin’ good! I’ll be craving it everyday now! I’ve never had any type of noodle dish be this amazing. Unfortunately I live over an hour away & only went because it was close to Vegfest. Unfortunately, the service wasn’t great. There was 2 men working the front, unfortunately the waiter we had wasn’t sociable at all. When we would say thank you he would stay silent, never said anything more than were you ready to order. The only time we got him to talk was when I asked him if he liked the soy chicken or steak better & all he said then was«I like the chicken». He didn’t even give us the check, we had to wait so long the other waiter had to give it to us. Maybe our waiter didn’t talk much because I was with my boyfriend because when I looked in front of us he was just chatting and smiling away with the 2 girls at the table . All in all, food was amazing, but they need to hire better waiters.

Very rude management — no respect or sense of customer service. I ordered a dish that I did not like, so they took it back… and then I ordered something different. When I got my check they charged me for the original dish — which was $ 4 more expensive. The server went to change it after I pointed it out, but after waiting an unreasonable amount of time, I went to the register to pay my bill. That’s when the tall young man, who I am assuming is the manager, told me, «when we remake a dish we do it at the original price — but I’ll make an exception this time.» I was stunned. What kind of policy is that?! He didn’t even look me in the eyes when he quipped, «…and we don’t allow dogs either.» Again, I’m stunned at his lack of respect. My dog was in a closed carrying bag — that is obviously made for dogs(it’s a bright purple and pink Sherpa bag). SO, I said, «Well that’s an odd policy, and no one told me either of those things.» He was dismissive and told me that I’d know for next time. Ha! As if, bro. He treated me like a liar or like I was trying to get free food for my dog or some other ridiculous excuse for being an a-hole. In short, the food was ok. But the tall guy/manager was so dismissive and disrespectful that I’ll never go back. This situation could have been handled much differently, and I might have considered returning. BUT… That policy is bullsh*t and there was no sign posted that prohibit dogs. This is LA, you can take dogs everywhere… Post a sign. Rude.

Vegan Thai at its finest. Always fresh and full of flavor. I’ve turned into a soft vegan.(Only eating meat from reliable sources). The«chicken» here is quite remarkable and meat texture, tone and flavor like. I always get the Buddha wraps. Great to grab and go on the run. Had quinoa fried rice and drunken noodle. It was delicious! I can’t help myself if I’m in Sherman oaks near Ventura and Van Nuys.

I have walked by this place a hundred times and finally I went in. The food is really fresh and taste amazing. The thai ice tea is great! The spicy basil rice is out of this world. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try even if you aren’t a vegan/vegetarian, you won’t miss the meat because the flavors are outstanding. I don’t get the tofu or faux meat, but my husband had it and said it tasted pretty good. Parking sucks, but it’s LA, I guess that’s to be expected.

This place has amazing food! You can’t go wrong with almost anything on the menu. We were at our friends house and decided to order Buddha wrap(great appetizer), the spicey basil fried rice, Royal pad Thai, fusion spicey noodle and drunken noodle and it was all great! Not only is the food amazing, the service is stellar! Everytime I come in I get excellent customer service. The waiters and waitresses seem to love their jobs. It’s a small mama and papa kind of place, but I’ve been to big named restaurants with celebrity chefs and their service can’t compare to this place. Starry Night tea has a lovely note of everything calm: mint, spearmint, hiscibus, and chamomile. I love it, I drank 7 cups! I love their red curry dish and the Buddha wrap, oh boy, it is so nutritious and good.

Everything I’ve had here has been excellent. Buddha wraps, pad see u, quinoa sticks, lemongrass soup to name a few and pretty much all the desserts. Omg so delicious. I’ve been here with a few of my gluten free friends and their gf subs are also excellent. My only complaint is that the parking lot sucks but that’s not really their fault. I can’t wait to keep exploring the menu and trying all sorts of new yums!

Happened to stop by chance, while scouting for a place to eat: turns out the food is delicious and ambience is great. Loved all the starters, entrees we had. Tofu Skewers were well cooked and grilled to perfection and tasted great with the tamarind sauce that comes with it. Drunken Noodles was another masterpiece. Do not think twice about eating here. You will not be disappointed :)

I went for my first time last week and was SO disappointed. It was some of the worst vegan and worst Thai food I have ever had. It was wayyyy to sweet, the vegetables in the curry were all still RAW(see photo), the bell peppers had gone bad, and nothing tasted«good.» :-(

The quality of the food has completely declined and the manager has his staff lie to customers to say he isn’t there when there is a problem. My curry was delivered with a ½ inch of oil on top, and was not eatable. When I called to complain they didn’t offer to resend one right away. I said I would come pick up a new one. The manager was suddenly not there, I was told he would be back later but then magically appeared. He couldn’t be bothered to accommodate me and the new curry was just as gross and oily. He then tried to have them just remove the oil instead of make a new one correctly. Classy. I walked out. Sad. I order about 3 times a week. Looking for vegan restaurant referrals if you’re reading this. Sun café doesn’t deliver

Just had this on the recommendation of friends — absolutely excellent. In fact, when I heard the laudatory comment, «it’s actually better than the non-vegan» I kind of chuckled to myself thinking that whether or not this was high-quality, there’s no way to vest the regular non-vegan spots. I’m not ready to go that far but I can affirm that each of the four dishes we ordered were delicious. The tofu spicy noodles, gad deceptive heat, great texture and were surprisingly light. The Massaman Curry was addictive, is the distinctive textures of ingredients from al dente cauliflower to crisp carrots to buttery peanuts piercing through the almost too-sweet curry sauce, providing an assertive balance. The pineapple fried rice was unique approach to a well-worn dish, providing crisp black rice grains to contrast the voluptuous pineapple and baby bok choy. Lastly, the Japanese vegetable gyoza were surprisingly hearty and matched the typical gyoza you’d receive from other delivery places. It’s a tad bit pricier than normal Thai — maybe 7 to 10%? — But to feel that you’re eating clean and light — with a separate but equally delicious flavor range as your favorite Thai spot, is well worth the couple bucks.

In the mood for a light, but satisfying late-night dinner, my boyfriend and I decided to try veStation for the first time. After considering some interesting vegan/vegetarian options on the menu, we chose the Buddha Wrap for our appetizer and each a Superfoods Salad, one with a grilled tempeh add-on and the other quinoa. My boyfriend also ordered an acai berry juice. The iced, acai berry juice had a light, refreshing taste with a subtle sweetness. The Buddha Wrap was a great option as a light appetizer. It was an extra large spring roll cut into 8 pieces, wrapped in a sticky rice wrapper. It was filled with salad and crunchy, fried lemongrass tofu in the middle. I really loved the crunch of the tofu. The accompanying dipping sauce with chopped peanuts floating on top was delicious. The Superfoods Salad was generously portioned, with tasty whole curry-coated almonds, sunflower seeds, kale, mixed greens, halved cherry tomatoes, and sliced avocados that they brought to us on a separate plate for some reason. The pomegranate-sunflower pesto dressing was good, which we used sparingly as to not drown out the taste of the various ingredients. My salad included the grilled tempeh that had a very subtle, almost bland, taste, so I ate it separately, instead of along with bites of salad. My boyfriend’s quinoa was a very nice addition to his salad. The staff was friendly and attentive. The small, slightly worn-looking restaurant has a casual and quiet ambience and is dimly-lit during dinner time. It’s well-suited for groups of 2 – 4 people.

a solidly tasty experience. nothing to blow our minds, but we were both completely satiated and plump with happy food bellies after our repast. massaman curry – lovely, creamy, flavorful. cauliflower was perfectly done. not in the least bit soggy or smushy. pad thai and drunken noodles were both delightful. again, props for the crispy vegetable preparation, and i really enjoyed the kale in the drunken noodles. why not a 5 stars? well, we tried each of their soy meat offerings: fish, chicken and steak, and of those three, only the fish had a discernible difference in taste and texture, and it was pretty damn cold in there. even the hostess was performing her duties in a heavy overcoat.

Who knew that in the corner of this shopping center existed this amazing restaurant? We were lucky and got one of the two tables with padded seat cushions on their wooden chairs, Score! Parking can be tricky in the shopping center so we parked on a neighboring street. Everything on the menu sounded appealing! We chose the Buddha wrap for starters. Beautiful presentation, fresh ingredients, generous portions and very tasty. And did I mention it arrived at our table in record time? Thai iced tea with almond milk was delicious! So terrific to have the almond milk available. The pad see u was an incredible array of flat noodles with veggies that were tender crisp. The yellow curry with cauliflower, carrots, chicken and curry almonds was my favorite. It was served with delicious brown rice. The gyoza’s were just right, light, and seasoned perfectly. Service was impeccable, too. Although I’m not a vegan, I do prefer healthy, organic food that’s prepared beautifully, presented thoughtfully and ideally, within driving distance. This restaurant epitomizes the new trend in vegan restaurants, healthy food that tastes great!

I feel like vegetarian places kinda meh in that I could probably eat something just as healthy and at home for a lower price. I guess the appeal of going to a vegetarian restaurant would be the food tastes pretty good for what it is. To start, VeSTATION is pretty good but I think I would rather just go to a regular Thai restaurant. My bf and I ordered: — Buddha wrap: per Unilocal recommendations, I ordered this one. It was a very well wrapped spring roll with something crunchy in it. I’m not sure what that was, but it sure made the roll! The peanut sauce was also pretty nice, not too sweet and not too thick. This itself could be one person’s meal. I liked it a lot. — quinoa sticks: basically quinoa eggrolls, which were pretty interesting. I don’t think I’ve ever tried quinoa like that, but it was ok. The egg roll skin was very hot and flaky, the sauce was sticky and sweet/sour, and they were surprisingly difficult to eat with chopsticks. Caution: Very Hot! — pad thai: tasted pretty much like regular pad thai, except it had soy chicken. The portion was pretty big, so that made it nice to share. The«meat» was ok, texture a bit rubbery, but I guess that’s what veggie meat is like? Overall, ok dish, a bit sweet. There’s $ 2 valet with validation, which will be good since it’s impossible to park here when it gets busy!

We were craving for Thai food in the Valley, but not seeking the greasy type from Sanamluang or the super spicy dishes at Lum Ka Naad. Without performing much background research, I made a hasty decision to go to VeStation. It was described as a Thai-vegan restaurant which sounded interesting and would be a pleasant change of pace from the places I like in Thai Town. Besides, vegan food is hardly ever heavy and it never hurts to have a leafy meal. I initially thought that this eatery would be a casual café similar to Lyfe Kitchen or Native Foods, but there is actually table service and valet parking is available for $ 2 with validation. The menu turned out to be vegan cuisine with a Thai-Chinese flair. Those looking for traditional Thai veg food would probably be disappointed, because based on the menu, this place is American vegan first, then Thai-American fusion. Superfood salad, quinoa, tofu satay, and Buddha wrap were the recommended items. We ordered the«Vegan Tom Yum Soup», «Green Lovers» with soy chicken, and a «Northern Thai Khao Soi» with soy fish. The tom yum soup was the only dish that resembled anything from traditional Thai restaurants. It was very clean and soothing, with strong galangal and lemongrass flavor but not too much to be offensive. The soup base doesn’t contain much sugar or fish sauce, so it just had a light sour flavor. The tom yum was loaded with mushroom and tomatoes, it overall tasted like a very approachable soup even for people who had never had Thai soups before. On the other hand, the Green Lovers was disappointing since it was simply a pile of cheap stir-fried green vegetables, such as broccoli, celery, and bok choy, stacked on a pool of coconut curry sauce. It didn’t include any sides, so we were expected to dip the vegetables into the curry sauce had a sweet coconut and peanut flavor. Not very inspiring, although it was light and healthy. Finally, the vegan khao soi was a joke. It was mutated so much from the traditional recipe that it should probably be renamed. First of all, the curry paste was predominantly coconut-based so it tasted very sweet. There seemed to be hardly any spice in the paste, so the taste was very similar to the«kao poon». I’ve had a vegetarian khao soi before at Noodle Tramp, which pretty much meets the standards of the picky American lunch crowd in Santa Ana, and the spice level in that soup base has much higher intensity. Another difference was the noodles — I’m guessing vegans cannot consume egg noodles, so buckwheat noodles were substituted. They were thin and arrived in an overcooked mush, which did not mix well with the semi-blanched bok choy, cauliflower, and raw bean sprouts. The dish was topped with wide strips of what reminded me of Americanized Chinese wontons. I did not like the execution of this dish at all, except for the soy fish which was very tasty and bouncy. Based on value alone, I doubt that I will return to VeStation. It was too expensive for the bland meal that we received. If I want a healthy naked meal, I will eat at home next time. If I want the strong and well developed flavors of Thai food, I will go to Thai Town.

I’ve been again and again and my love for veStation grows and grows. Cute, comfortable interior. Genuinely friendly service. Impeccable food. Finally tried the Buddha wrap and they were even better than expected — two rice paper rolls, filled with lettuce, carrots, herbs, buckwheat noodles, seared tofu, avocado(I added) and something yummy and crunchy. The sweet and sour sauce makes the dish! I also tried the veggie curry with tofu and quinoa/brown rice on the side. A huge portion covered two meals and the curry was light but flavorful and the veggies were aplenty. My friend tried the yellow curry with soy steak. And a few days later I again had my favorite Superfoods salad — best salad in LA. I never tire of it! If you have not yet tried veStation, I can’t recommend it highly enough. And when you go, you will likely see me there. Stop by and say hi!
