My wife and I were struck by a hit and run driver a little over a year ago and knew I would need help in dealing with my auto insurance co to make an uninsured motorist claim. Never before have I met an attorney that I liked (excluding fam and friends of course)…
No matter what their ads claim on television or how amazing their agents appear to be, the auto insurance industry exists to make money. They do this by screwing you any way they can. Why be caught with your pants down?! Michael ensured that didn’t happen.
I was blown away by the games, dishonesty and unfair tactics my insurance company attempted to pull on me. There is no way I would have survived on my own. This experience taught me that insurance companies don’t play fair and they hire the best guns to ensure they pay as little as possible. I learned that over 90% of claimants get tired of it and just accept whatever unfair offer they put on the table.
Mr. Kushner protected me from the shenanigans, explained in plain English what was going on and then presented me with choices. It was a very long process, at no fault of Mr. Kushner. However, it was fairly painless (except for my injuries).
Michael is amazingly knowledgeable, very professional yet fun and incredibly intelligent. It is rare that I recommend someone so highly, give him a call.
By the way… Michael had to protect me from my OWN insurance company. I was in an accident that was caused by an uninsured driver. I had an uninsured motorist policy and thought I was safe. My insurance company wanted to pay as little as possible to their OWN client and put up one hell of a fight. Their settlement offers didn’t even cover my medical bills! I felt like they were defending the person who caused the accident and not protect me (which by the way the CHP report listed the other driver 100% at fault)! Three years later, I am very happy with the settlement Michael was able to fight for.
