This used to be my favorite Ramen place in the valley for the last 2 years, but it just changed recently. I came here 2 weeks ago for another day of craving ramen. As usual, I ordered Tonkatsu Ramen. I noticed that their ramen had become too salty and fatty. And the same goes for Shoyu Ramen. I usually finish the whole bowl but this time, I just couldn’t. Their spicy tuna bowl was worst than ever! It’s spicy, otherwise, just bland. I couldn’t even taste the tuna anymore. My sister ordered the chicken ramen and it’s still good. I’m glad that their noodles are still good, because this is one of the reasons why like this place. The staff could be slow too. I just wish they would take a time to evaluate with their Ravens and see what’s going wrong. I’m almost at the point where I kind of don’t want to com back here.

I loooooooove ramen. but this place is not my favorite. :(I think both Jinya and Hyakumi are much better ramen joints in the area. I got the Spicy Miso Ramen, the flavors are just bland here in my opinion, the service was okay, parking wasn’t the best. My favorite part of this place is the wooden spoons. Haha. I just don’t see a reason to give it another shot when there are great ramen spots nearby.

If you are new to ramen go for it, it’s ramen. If you consider yourself a connoisseur in any way you can skip this place.

I used to be a regular here. Before they changed their staff. After they hired new chefs and their ramen just wasn’t the same. My goto was the wonton chicken ramen after a while this lacked flavor. Other dishes are good but not to die for. Staff is usually friendly depending on who is your waiter, on a busy day they push you out, I was served my ramen and immediately served my check. left a bad taste in my mouth.

Black tonkotsu :The soup has no tasty. pork is hard to chew. noodles is worst ever ever. I really love ramen and not a complaint person, but honestly this restaurant made me so disappoint. Really not recommend how come they got 3.5 stars may be sushi or whatever they might be better than ramen, but I never try it yet.

If you’re looking for a fairly«healthy» ramen with not so much taste or salt, then this is definitely it. I got the black tonkatsu which was pretty bland. You could definitely spice it up a bit with some hot sauce or extra add-ins, but that’s a must that must not be forgotten at this place! Definitely not as much butter and oil as other places so that was nice. But overall, probably would not go back. Make the drive out to downtown or little Tokyo for quality ramen. But the appetizers were good! Didn’t try the sushi, but saw lots of people ordering it.

I visit this place with my younger brother often and come out always very pleased. The spicy miso ramen is amazing. The broth is very flavorful, the pork is very tender, and the noodles are cooked just right. Customer service was also great. I suggest not visiting around lunch or dinner rush as the place is very small. Tables are extremely close to one another, making you feel very cramped.

I ordered delivery through DoorDash. This is just bad ramen. I got the Black Tonkotsu. At the risk of sounding like a ramen snob, the broth is seriously lacking in flavor and the noodles are bleh. The sliced pork tastes a bit old. The eggs, while marinated and well cooked(good softness in the middle), taste like they’re marinated with vinegar. Maybe this is a thing, but the sourness overwhelms any other potential flavor in the marinade and adds to the unpleasantness of the broth. Side of pork dumplings was decent. I’m still hungry but I can’t bring myself finish the ramen. It’s just too disappointing. :(

This place is just okay. I had the black garlic Tonkotsu and I felt like it lacked SO much flavor. My husband was really happy with his spicy tonkotsu though. He also got their dim sum special of the day and enjoyed it as well. There was also some kind of ginger iced tea that he had that was really strong on the ginger side but overall was good.

Most of us only know ramen from when we cant afford to eat anything else since it costs about a buck a metric ton you can supplement your mac and cheese intake and have some variety. Instant ramen has ruined ramen for most people that have never been to a real ramen place. If you have not then this is a great place to start. It will fill you up. I’m a big fan of appetizers but I would have to have to starve myself for the entire day to have room for anything but the noodles. The prices were reasonable and the service was great. So put down the flavor packet and go get some real ramen.

Got the 2 person combo which came with 4 pieces of dumplings and 4 pieces of fried wonton, seaweed salad, and big bowl of Ramen perfect for 2 people. Ramen was chewy, broth was good. Better when I added the chili paste because I generally like spicy foods. Big slices of the pork chasui. Yummy egg. Would want to be back if I’m ever in the area and craving ramen. Parking lot next to the restaurant. Yums.

The hubby and I have been in search of a good ramen place in the valley. We’ve tried a few and we’re happy to have landed in here. Serving portions are big and the broth in the ramen is oh-so-tasty! Would certainly drive to Sherman Oaks for this. Yum!!!

I’ve been here two times and each experience was always good. The first time I got the sharing dish the TAMASHIICOMBO. You get 2 appetizers and ramens? I don’t remember. It came out to like $ 25 dollars so it was pretty good. The ramen itself is pretty regular. So if you just want ramen and a place to go thats inexpensive this is it. I wouldn’t say its not delicious because if you’re in the mood for ramen this does it for you. I’ve been here twice and the second time I got a different ramen(Spicy Miso) and it turned out to be better than the sharing ramen dish. I definitely love the Spicy Miso Ramen. I got an extra egg with that. It was heaven in my mouth. The pot stickers are really good. Perfectly cooked and not overly chewy. if you check in you get EDAMAME! They weren’t salted which was awesome. I could adjust the levels if necessary. The service is really good and the waitresses/waiters are fun to talk to. They’re extremely prompt. The location is really difficult with parking. So be careful with that.

This is one of my friend’s regular ramen joint so I figured it had got to be pretty good. He was was the duke at some point, pretty awesome right?! Right! Service was great! They checked in on us regularly, maybe even too regularly, and were attentive to all of our needs. They were friendly and helpful. At some point when we first received our food, my friend started talking about these spoons they used to provide, our server actually offered to get it for him, although it was a different spoon he was thinking of. As for the food, I ordered Spicy Miso per my friend’s suggestion. It was delicious and flavorful, but too salty. The ramen was different from the one I’m accustomed to, but it was good, just different. The pork was a bit too shredded for my liking. The egg was perfectly cooked though.

When you crave a certain food you than discover a place so good and you asked yourself«Why is it my first time here?»… It’s because I settle for the same damn thing all the time! I was craving for Japanese curry and I didn’t want to drive too far to find a good Japanese cuisine at a reasonable price. I am always at the Sherman Oaks area and I would always passed by Tamashii but their is too many food places along Ventura Blvd and I end up not going. Finally I was able to try the place out. This place is along Ventura Blvd so parking is always a problem, however they do have their own parking area at the back(alley way) to park your car unless you want to park along the street. The restaurant is not to big, maybe around 6 – 8 tables but I can tell you the inside was very clean and we were welcomed nicely by the waitress. The menu is straight forward. They offer different kinds of Ramen, appetizers, rice bowls, sushi, and variety of drinks. Ordered a Tokyo curry bowl and crispy chicken. Got the crispy chicken with 3 different types of sauce to try, it was really good(a must try). The curry was better than I had expected, the spice was just perfect and the price was good($ 8.95) for the amount of serving(they serve it in a big black soup bowl). All in all, the food was great and the experience here was good. The customer service was amazing, the female waitress(Filipino) was very attentive and would always come to our table and ask how everything was doing as well as pouring more water into our glass when needed. I’ll be back here in no time. I need to try their Ramen!

For ramen in the Valley, I much prefer Gyoro-Gyoro in Encino, Yamadaya in Sherman Oaks and Jinya in Studio City. Ramen Nippon in Reseda is great for their variety of ramen styles to choose from. My favorite ramen in Los Angeles: 1) Tsujita LA 2) Men Oh 3) Santouka This is the worst ramen I’ve had so far. The black tonkotsu broth was too light and lacked flavor. The service was good, but not enough for me to come back when there is better elsewhere.

Ramen + Tonkotsu + Ajitama + Chashu + Fire = Tamashii Ramen House Everyday is a good day for ramen, but when you want to fire up your ramen motor, check out Tamashiii Ramen House in Sherman Oaks for its spicy or fire versions of Tonkotsu(Pork Broth) Ramen. I stoked the«Fire» while my wife flirted with the«Spicy.» Both were satisfying 3.5-star bowls of Japanese ramen. Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen($ 9.55) — Medium *** Ramen + Pork Broth + Spice + Egg + Pork *** The spicy Tonkotsu Broth was a blend of heat and meat with Black Mushrooms, Bean Sprouts, Green Onions, ½ Soft-boiled Egg, and Chashu(Braised) Pork. The noodles weren’t spectacular, but they were totally fine ramen … just what you want when you’re lost in the valley … because you and Marcellus ain’t got no ramen friends in the valley. Fire Tonkotsu Ramen($ 10.95) Level 9 *** Ramen + Pork Broth + Egg + Pork + Fire *** This bowl had the same pork broth and ramen noodles with a bonus boost of 4 types of Chili Powder, Shredded Chili, and homemade Chili Sauce plus Bamboo Shoots, Green Onions, ½ Soft-boiled Egg, and Chashu(Braised) Pork. I should have just gotten level 10 because 9 was not quite the type of ramen fire I was seeking. It was good, but when I asked for fire, I meant Faaahruhhhh! Turn it up to 10, son. Pork Chashu Bowl($ 3.95) *** Pork + Rice + Bamboo + Egg *** As a compliment for the fire and spice from our ramen, we split a small bowl of chashu and rice. Nothing special about this bowl(3 stars). It’s not the reason to go to Tamashii, but get it if you need some extra carbs to soak up the fire. Ice Honey Citrus Tea($ 2.95) One of my favorite drinks is Honey Citrus Tea, so, getting this was easy as a total counter agent to the fire & spice. The mix of fruits and honey is a tart and sweet drink to sip(3 stars). Service was quick and efficient while a small parking lot behind the building had one last spot open. The smiling server is the main reason to round Tamashii Ramen House up to 4 stars overall. For ramen in the San Fernando Valley, just remember … Ramen + Tonkotsu + Ajitama + Chashu + Fire = Tamashii Ramen House
