Shimmer Style Lounge

Went to Sharon today for the first time, and it was the most enjoyable and relaxed hair experience of my life. She is so extremely talented and made my hackjob of a haircut look like a beautiful masterpiece. She is also a wonderful person. Do yourself a favor and go to her!

Sharon is awesome! I had a horrible haircut from another salon, resulting in ½″ long bangs and no other layers. I was afraid to try another new salon, but figured it couldn’t possibly get worse. Sharon not only fixed my hair, but she actually made it look good! Plus, she is a genuinely nice person.

I’ve been coming to Sharon at Shimmer for 2 years now. What an incredible artist! She has such a great eye for style and color. Her sensibilities are current and informed by years of study and experience. She crafts every hair cut/​coloring to compliment the client’s persona and style which is why she took the time to get to know me.
The space is hip, ambient and welcoming. Always fresh coffee brewing, music playing, scented candles flickering and cleanly kept.

I saw Sharon for a cut, color, and highlights. She is awesome! I just moved to the area and was worried I might have to try a few stylists before I found the right one. Luckily I found her on the first try!
I did not give Sharon much direction other than to cover my grey and add as many highlights as she thought I might need. She really took her time and considered my complexion. She has a wonderful personality as well, which added to the experience.
I found her cost reasonable; it was comparable to what I was paying in center city Philadelphia. Also, she made suggestions of how I can save money in the future in terms of scheduling color and highlights. This kind of recommendation demonstrates that Sharon cares about her clients.
I highly recommend Sharon — the experience was very personal and the end product exceptional! (good parking too)

Had an amazing experience yesterday with Sharon! She genuinely cares about giving you the perfect color and cut and took her time making sure she picked the right color for me. My hair cut and color are perfect! Will not be going to anyone else!

Coffee with your hair cut? Amazing! It seems as though I’ve never actually had a hair cut until Sharon. She openly took in my comments and shared her opinions which were right on. I learned a lot. Walked away with a cup of coffee and a great hair cut!

Sharon Frankfurt @ Shimmer Style Lounge is an artist in the finest sense of the word. She literally designs your hair to suit your face using all of your own suggestions. In other words SHE DOES NOT BYPASS YOU AND DO HER OWN THING per say but incorporates all your desires into a look that truly serves your own face. Devine is a word that works to describe her work. Devine and delicious!!! As long as she is in LA and will have me I will belong to Sharon for my beauty needs. :)

Sharon is an artist, and hair is her pallette. Her intuitive eye for color is unmatched.
Sharon begins with a consultation, listening with intent ear and offering relevant, helpful advice. She makes sure I know exactly what I want before she starts. She takes into consideration my complexion and eye color, which is so important to me as a blonde! My hair color never looks manufactured; it’s always beautifully crafted, with color rich and deep. I always leave feeling like my hair could rival celebs. Really.
Her skill with scissor and razor are, for me, the icing on the cake. I am confident my haircut will match the caliber of my color — custom to my face and artfully shaped.
Sharon is warm and hospitable to top it off. I have zero desire to go to anyone else for my hair!

I loved my experience at Shimmer Style Lounge. This was by far the best experience I have ever had when getting my hair cut. Sharon took her time to make sure I loved the way my hair looked while providing an amazing environment. She made me feel as if I was her most important client from the moment I walked in.

SHARON is the most amazing hair stylist I’ve ever had! She LOVES dedicating hours of her time in consulting, mixing various colors to see what works for your hair and style, cutting, and perfecting it. She makes her lounge feel like home with cookies, coffee, and bottles of water. While she works on my hair, we have the most amazing conversation. The end result is always brilliant! SHARON is a true artist with color and cutting!!!

I lucked upon Sharon… I was looking for a stylist who knew about loreal’s new natural haircolor: and her name came up on their website… I did just what you are doing, I checked out Unilocal and thought… hmmm, should I take a chance and try her? I am SOOOO glad I did. I called first and was pleasantly surprised by her professional and friendly manner. She was so confident on the the phone, not needy or too pushy at all, yet very open to new clients and perfectly happy to talk about my concerns. When I arrived at her studio, very clean and very cozy, she again listened to what I wanted and all along was so helpful with suggestions yet really got what I was looking for. She is, as others have said before me, a COLOR GENIUS. I would also add– she is a true ARTIST. I am so pleased with the result. I have gotten so many complements, always a good sign. I am looking forward to my next appointment!

A-​M-​A-​Z-​I-​N-​G!!! Sharon is a true artist. I went to get my hair cut and highlights yesterday. I went because she does my close friends hair. After I saw what she had done with her I decided to go with Sharon. She made me feel so special and pretty. She took her time, something I have never experienced, and I did not mind at all. I explained to her what I wanted and she listened and also gave me her opinion. When she was finished I honestly did not recognize myself. My hair looks so beautiful and in turn I feel so beautiful! Sharon truly has a talent. For my first visit, I got 50% off, as do all her new clients. Go to her, you wont regret it. BTW, I love her one-​client salon.

Sharon Frankfurt is amazing! First off, the atmosphere in the Shimmer Lounge is so cool. Sharon made me coffee, we listened to Simon & Garfunkle while she cut my hair! Also (and maybe most importantly today) her prices are incredible considering the time she not only puts into coloring and styling, an excellent final product, but also how she got to know me as the customer. Sharon is extremely personable, not nosy, not cold, disconnected, or awkward like the people I used to
get my haircut with. Great vibe, awesome haircut EVERYTIME, great girl

Seriously. Sharon rocks. She always gives me a great consultation (it’s nice to find someone with an honest and tasteful opinion who doesn’t just tell you every darn thing would look great on you), and she makes me look great every time I see her. I really enjoy the experience of getting my hair done in her studio, and most importantly… I love my hair (and the compliments)! You won’t be sorry.

Sharon at Shimmer Style really took time to understand what I needed for my hair. I feel like I got a consultation session before we even started. Throughout the haircut, Sharon kept checking with me to make sure I was comfortable with the direction she was going. The result was brilliant.
