I agree with the previous review 11/​10, Astro. Their Customer relation services when i traded my preowned sports ball, golf set for the office with wooden case n 16ft jump rope are great. Ross the owner n the other three enployees r professional & friendly knowledgeable. I traded for two lacrosse stick used n a new lacrosse ball all for $ 23.94 awesome buy. N nice clean organized store. Welcome to the new area in Sherma Oaks cross street Hatteras street n sepulveda blvd. Prior was in studio city, CA management/​owner of this franchise store, Ross THANK YOU!

An incredibly fun time. This store has things you never would’ve imagined. Fitness and sports disneyland for kids and adult. Great job to Ross and his team for their hard work and genuine care for customers.

Great people here. On the way to a charity store, I went in on the off chance they would buy my recumbent exercise bike and they did. That turned into a pick up of my mammoth treadmill. The people at the store and that did the pick up were just top notch. A very pleasant experience. I highly recommend these people!

Dante is so great!!! I’ll get back to that. Someone stole my ski boots so I was in search of a used pair to use this weekend. I called a few places and this location said they had a few options so I drove up and was able to get a pair, marked down from $ 40 to $ 30 (since they had been there a while). Dante helped me try on many different pair of boots and was super patient as I tried and rejected the options. He also told me a few things I didn’t know about boots and skiis. Maybe I’ve been living in LA for too long, but I can’t remember the last time I got such a helpful person, who was also patient and helping me with an eager smile. He totally made my day! I’ll make the drive over here again if I need anything else. Thank you Dante!

I was very happy to discover Play it Again Sports had opened a store in Sherman Oaks since I live nearby.
I would give a better review, but I had a disappointing experience at the store.
I had come in a few days ago with a friend. I was looking for some dumbbells myself and they had ones for $ 1 per lb. for new or $ 0.70 per lb. for used. I was told the used were on a rack along the wall. I asked twice. I checked and they had all the dumbbells I wanted.
Today I decided to buy them, but after I had grabbed the dumbbells from the rack, I was told that they were not used after all and I had to pay new prices. I was only then told that the used dumbbells were only on the left side portion of the rack. What I wanted was not available.
The money involved is not huge, but I felt a bit ripped off to find out that what I had been told — «Used dumbbells on the rack are $ 0.70 per lb.» — was not accurate, basically wasting my time.
You could have (should have) done better, PIAS.

Went in for a hockey stick a couple weeks back and the staff was very helpful. I believe the owner or manager helped me and we went through a few different options. I had not used Bauer before and he helped me go through a few different options until I found the right one. I also entered a drawing to win a stick and I won… So can’t complain there. Lastly, today I went in for skates as I broke mine last night. Again, the same guy helped me out and they do not carry new skates but he was very helpful if I wanted to order one. With my luck, they had 1 model year newer in my skates and same level at a great price. Ended up buying used. Will definitely recommend this store to anyone looking to buy/​sell sports gear.
