Usual café for breakfast and lunch. Good selection of meals and drinks. Prices are OK. Nice and polite staff. Kids and family friendly.

Came here on a Wednesday afternoon around 1. They’re Parking is a small lot with not many doves, and after circling twice I ended up parking on the street. The restaurant itself wasn’t too busy considering the time and day, and the service was quick and friendly. The chicken fried steak wasn’t nothing fantastic, but their hash browns and bacon were really good. So was their banana walnut muffin. Overall a really good breakfast place with really good food.

nat’s is great, and i will never stop going there no matter how many times i order eggs benedict and they burn my english muffin. everything is outstanding here except i swear to jehovah 70% of the time i order eggs benedict from nat’s they are served on english muffins where the bottom is charred black. please pay attention to the details people and stop burning everyone’s muffins. i know you’re busy but it’s aggravating. Thanks nat.

The lines waiting outside tells a story. One of the best breakfast spots in the valley. Great eggs pancakes omelets and chiliqiiles make it a hard decision but it’s all good. And the service is fast and friendly.

Tucked away inside within a not-so-conspicuous compound, Nat’s is definitely one of those hidden gems that you’ll just end up driving by if you didn’t know about it. Thank god for Unilocal or else I probably wouldn’t even have heard of this place. Got a chance to check this place out, and it for the most part did not disappoint. Came in at around 10ish on a weekday, their tables were full but the wait wasn’t too bad. Ordered their Eggs Benedict plate, along with the Spanish Omelette. Upon first inspection, it seems like you’re getting more of your money’s worth with their omelette’s. Comes with a huge portion, along with hash browns, and a good sized muffin of your choice(you can change to a toast). All of that for under 10 dollars(at the time of writing). Eggs Benedict was slightly more expensive, and did not come with muffin/toast. But oh boy, did their EB produce a heavenly feeling inside my mouth. Eggs were poached perfectly, and their hollandaise sauce was spot on. Every bite was just glorious, and I tried to save every bit of it until the end. Presentation-wise, I wish it wasn’t too sloppy — a good portion of the sauce was already on the plate, but that’s just nitpicking on my part. Definitely a must try dish. Meanwhile, their Spanish omelette flavor wise was a-ok, not as much of a home run as the EB, as I thought it needed more seasoning. Trying the eggs, it definitely tasted bland for me, so I needed to douse it with Tapatio hot sauce to spice it up a bit. Perhaps it’s just personal preference, but yeah it could’ve used more salt. Blueberry muffin was amazing too. Fresh and warm when they hand it to you, every bite was fluffy and flavorful. Overall, I had a great first time here at Nat’s. My server was really amazing, forgot to ask his name but definitely will next time I return to try their other concoctions. Although there was another one that seemed kind of rude. Food came out promptly, and my server did not fail to check up on us every now and then. So that was nice. Parking might be an issue, the compound is cramped and you most likely have to find some 2(or even 1) hour street parking, so that’s the thing to consider.

This is my second time here and both visits have been very pleasant. The wait has been under 5 minutes and the service is extremely fast. I also feel like the prices are very good and I love the hospitality. It sort of has that home feeling to the place. If you live around the neighborhood and are wondering what a good location for breakfast is, this is definitely the spot to stop by. I posted some pictures of what I ate. Definitely a bookmark on my book

Great service! It was a bit of a wait and super busy for a Saturday morning but I can see why now. The food had good portions and it was all delicious. I went with my family for brunch and everyone enjoyed their plates. The waiter was attentive and kept refilling our coffee cups. Super nice crowd. Would go back if I was in the area!

If you’re ever hungry and looking for a great dining experience in the valley, stop by Nat’s. This place is awesome! The menu is full of breakfast varieties from French toast and pancakes, to steak and scrambles. The service is great! The only complaint is the parking! But with food is so good, so what do you expect?

It’s my first time here, and while it was pretty packed the servers are super quick on their feet and so friendly also! It’s very home-y here. The food was AMAZING! I had the grilled cheese with curly fries — wow. Curly fries were fresh and crisp, tasted so so good. The sandwich was greatly toasted and cheese. I had a bite of my dads cinnamon roll, soooooo good! All in all I’m obsessed with Nat’s(not to mention my name is in the title) Thanks again to our lovely server!

This is such an amazing place. The food is fresh and they have so many offerings. Let’s go to the story behind the current ownership. So, this guy gets a job as a busboy. Works his tail off and becomes… yes, the owner! Dare to dream. When I roll in for breakfast and have the Cali Benedict with the most amazing potatoes I know that life is good. They also have Jurassic size muffins that are the size of a toaster and a meal in itself. I don’t think I have ever seen anyone walking out that didn’t have a smile on there face. Like me some if that. Get busy child.

I stopped in for a quick breakfast once not realizing how packed and busy this place can be. I ordered a chicken fried steak, coffee and some juice. The food took a bit longer than I had expected but considering it was a bit busy on a tuesday morning I won’t hold that against them. The food itself was a bit better than I expected. Somewhere between above Denny’s and IHOP but under say a Hungry Fox which is somewhat in the area. The food more or less tasted fine. Being from the great state of Texas I will pretty much have an irrational bias against any chicken fried steak if it doesn’t hail from the lone star state, but I gotta say this place was pretty good and decent portion. Only thing I would say is the price was kind of high. The meal was fair but the beverages were much higher than I expected. Other than that not a bad place to grab breakfast but not the best.

Unfortunately i was not able to try the food but, this review is based on my experience at Nat’s. Went in for a bite with my service dog and was completely mortified and humiliated. I was first asked to show documentation for my dog which is against the law. And why on earth would someone carry that kind of thing at 8 am Sunday morning? I went on to explain how this was wrong and told the man that it was illegal to discriminate in such a manner –according to the ADA — and he said, «I’m sorry ma’am, we cannot have you in here with the dog.» That is incredibly unporfessional, discriminatory, belittling and most of all, ignorant! Staff may only ask two question– is that a service animal? And what task have they been trained to perform? There were even nearby customers waiting to be seated that chimed in and said things like, «these people and their fake service animals» … I mean, are you kidding me?

What a turnaround! When I ‘checked in’ after I’d been seated, I was seriously considering not even staying. Parking was a nightmare– The host was rude to my mother and I after he helped others who arrived after us, but that person was not an accurate representation of what Nat’s is all about! We soon found that our server was very personable as was the rest of the staff! The food was delicious! And although the Orange juice is $ 3.50 a glass, it’s FRESH! So worth it. I’m really glad we stuck around as it turned into a positive experience. Only cons would be the one abrasive employee and the tiny parking area(borderline ‘lot’) lol and there is only one handicap parking spot. That being said– I will be back again! Thanks Nat’s!

A great GREAT breakfast spot in the Valley. How did I not know about Nat’s sooner? It was so good and all came at the recommendation of my very good friends that work/have worked at Val Surf in Valley Village. All thanks are due to them. All their recommendations were spot on and everything tasted great. Sign your name on the list inside when you arrive. Your name will be called. There are areas to wait inside on a long cushioned bench/couch or just outside the door. Parking is in a shared lot or out on Burbank Blvd and surrounding streets but pay attention to the signs posted. We waited about 10 – 12 mins before our party was called and was seated at a booth in the 1st room. We were immediately asked what drinks we wanted. I ordered a coke. They also have(sprite, diet coke & root beer)… The menu has everything from traditional american breakfast fare to south of the border specialties. The tortilla soup came HIGHLY recommended and although I wanted breakfast, I was told by my good buddies that I HAD to have the soup. So I got the bowl of tortilla soup($ 3.50) and the accompanying bread. The soup was so good. SOGOOD. It’s the perfect bowl. The vegetables, the broth, the tortillas, the cheese and the small chunks of meat. DELICIOUS. My mouth is watering just remembering how good it was as I type this. The perfectly toasted french roll was excellent dipping with the soup. Get it. For sure, order the soup… And by the way, youre welcome. Ha! For my main course, I had the chicken fried steak with scrambled eggs, hash browns and a blueberry muffin. It was also very good. It was one of the better chicken fried steaks I’ve had. It was more homemade than anything. It was delicious. The scrambled egg was good but the hash browns were even better. Crispy on the edges and just perfect with ketchup. All of it, especially with the gravy on the chicken fried steak was so tasty. Service was good. They checked in on us often. They only thing was that they forgot to bring my blueberry muffin. We were so distracted with how good the food was that it totally slipped my mind. All good. They packed me one to go. Still warm and smelling ever so good. Pay at the counter. They were currently not taking AMEX. This was on 4−17−16… Enjoy! See you at Nat’s! I’m getting chilaquiles next.

I feel obligated to throw another 5 star review into the abyss of Nat’s 5 star reviews. Why? Because it’s so simple, delicious, comforting, and everything you want on Saturday morning. Steak and eggs, bacon, potatoes, coffee, they do everything perfectly. Sunny side up exactly the way I like it(gloopy as hell), and buttery toast exactly the way I like it. They also treat you like family! Great service, great food, it’s not at all a surprise this place is killing it on Unilocal

I’ve passed this place multiple times and always wondered why there was always a line outside. The day finally came and I gave it a try. I’m not really sure what the hype is about but I’m assuming they’ve been here for decades and it is the go to place for breakfast for everyone that lives in the area. Ordered the regular stuff scrambled eggs and bacon(nothing to really rave about) and some pancakes. I must say their pancakes were pretty good and fluffy. The amount was pretty generous, I couldn’t finish it. Over all the food and service was mediocre. Menu is simple, just like any diner. I’ll come back again.

Ive lived in van nuys all my life, i never went into this place much less paid it any mind… boy was i wrong when we finally went here… My fiancé, my 1 ½rd old and I love this place!!! This is our go to spot for breakfast… my fiancé always order the same thing country skillet and adds a few things, they never bat and eye. I like to change it up between an omelette, eggs bene, or the chilaquiles, all great choices. We have great rapport with all the staff. my daughter gets a kick of everyone paying attention to her and every now and again she gets a cookie ;) it seems like everyone that works there is family in one way or another and we kinda feel the same… will be coming here for life.

I am late in reviewing this, but I finally made it here, came here with a couple of friends at around 12 ish, we waited for a couple minutes. Seemed like it was slowing down. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious! As always I can’t ever decide for breakfast; sweet or savory, so I did both! Sausage and eggs and a side of pancakes, both were delicious! Oh and the coffee… yummm so good too. Can’t wait to visit again.

I’ve been coming here on and off for over ten years. They’re the neighborhood diner so I’ve spent some time here. It’s a mixed crowd, most of them regulars. On weekends, they’re extremely busy so make sure to come early unless you’re okay with waiting. My last visit here was just last week when I brought my mom to have breakfast. My mom ordered the eggs benedict with asparagus and home fries and I had the blueberry pancakes with bacon, home fries and scrambled eggs. The food is everything you’d expect from an old-school diner and more. Everything’s always fresh and delicious.

This place is a hidden gem of the valley! Huge breakfast selection with customizable options galore at reasonable prices. Server Rene was exceptionally knowledgeable and attentive. He even overheard my friend and I drooling over the muffin selection after ordering and stopped by to ask if we wanted to switch our toast to muffins. I ordered the chicken fried steak. The home fries were especially delicious, not to mention the honey nut bran muffin. My coffee was never empty. I will surely return!

I had to get some work done on my car(Car Friend down the street! Really great little shop, excellent prices and customer service) but anyway, Nat’s was right down the street. It’s an adorable diner that looks like the kind of place you bring your family every Sunday, but also the place you and your friends come weekend mornings to eat off your hangover. The menu is pretty big, and they have a lot of «Create Your Own» options. I’m a really picky eater, so I love being able to customize my food. I did the create your own Omelette but got it as a Scramble with lox, peppers, onions and tomatoes and it was delicious! Rene, our server, was totally cool and was SO attentive. If he saw us looking around, he was there right away to help us out. Also the prices are totally decent and the muffins are life changing! Overall, so glad my companion and I stumbled upon this place! Next time I make a trip to the valley, this is where I’ll come to eat.

The fact that they were open at 7:30am on a Sunday made me come check it out. WARNING: The parking lot is SMALLAF! Which is why its not a 5 star review. Walked in and the vibe was like a 50’s diner with a modern twist. We were greeted as soon as we walked in & seated immediately The menu had a lot of options to pick from and everything was reasonable priced. I ordered a glass of orange juice that was freshly squeezed instead the boxed one which nice for a change. I also ordered the Breakfast Burrito & a Waffle with blueberries, strawberries and bananas(there’s a specific name but I can’t remember it) The food came out a lot quicker then I expected, it looked and smelled amazing! The portions were on the larger side which is always a plus in my book when it comes to food. Everything tasted fresh I felt like it was made from scratch as if I was eating at home and not at a diner. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying more things off their menu. Definitely going to be one of my favorite spots for breakfast.

The parking lot is small and the residential streets around it are 1 hr parking. If you can find a spot on Burbank Blvd. it is 2 hrs. We had a 20+ minute wait on a Tuesday morning. You can walk around the shop next door while you wait, as they have an intercom that announces for Nats. We were 2 people sat at a 4 person table. A single woman with a cane was sat at a table that was pretty much in the waiting area. When she asked to be moved to another open table they told her no, because they were going to sit 6 people there(at a table for 4). We asked her if she would like to join us at our table and she did. It was great getting to chat with her and made Nats a more interesting experience. ****Frustrating: less than 5 minutes after they wouldn’t let her sit at that table they sat a single male individual. Also… they served him the wrong meal — placed it on his table for a minute, then removed it and served it to the correct patron — bad, bad service. Prices are okay — $ 7 — $ 11 for breakfast Food was pretty good(love me some tater tots).

Love this place! Has a large breakfast menu. Expect there to be a bit of a waiting time because it’s so popular. The food is delicious. I ordered«Nats Favorite» which is a tuna sandwich with bacon hard boiled egg and tomato and comes with a side. I got tater tots which are nice and crispy. Only suggestion I have. Too much bread with my sandwich it was one of those sandwiches with 3 layers of bread. Make it 2 :)

A good selection for a sunday brunch; however, you will be waiting thirty minutes. I came here on two separate occasions, and they have some of the best drip coffee in the san fernando region. My first visit, was somewhat of a disappointment. I ordered the french toast, bananas and walnuts. The french toast was only half-powdered, and somewhat unfulfilling. I ordered the pumpkin pancakes on my second visit, and it was much better! Also, came with a free muffin. Daniel

Great spot for breakfast, lunch, or brunch. The place has an old school vibe and the menu has something for everyone. I had the steak and eggs and it hit the spot. Also had the muffin that they give with almost all meals, great bonus treat. They get busy on the weekends so be prepared to wait.
