I’ve been going to Erica for 8 years now and love her! She’s amazing with both color and cut. I get compliments from other hair stylists all the time on my color. She also gets to know you and will great advice on styles. For example, I showed her a cute haircut from a magazine one time and her response was «I know you. You hate your hair on your face. You’d kill me if I did that.» She was right. I took her advice and loved the cut she gave me. Highly recommend Erica.

I have been going to Erica for over 8 years now! It’s pretty unbelievable to admit such a thing — showing my age — but you know, when you find a good hair dresser, you keep her (andneverlethergo)!
Erica isn’t just a hair dresser, she’s an artist with a vision. I go in with a mild idea of what I want, showing her all my pins of the month, she vaguely gets what I’m after, and see’s something even better. Then after trying to explain her big plans — she makes it happen.
Also, I don’t like to look like everyone else, I take pride in my originality, in highlighting (heh) what’s special about me, and Erica is the queen at making that happen with my hair be it cut or color… seriously. Typically, in my experience any way, a dresser is superb at one or the other — she’s either a genius with color, or a savant with scissors, rarely is she both both. But — Erica is just really good at what she does.
She’s a bit edgier than your average hair dresser too, which I really appreciate. She wants to take chances and assures you it’s worth it — and I’ve never been disappointed. On the contrary, if you come in with an idea that’s too crazy, (like I did when I wanted a pixie cut whilst pregnant) if she doesn’t see it, she won’t do it! And that’s really important because my face is round and I would not have rocked a pixie cut. I gotta put my trust in the woman with the scissors!
I drive 40 minutes each way to get to Erica that’s how good she is. I could go on and on. I’m thrilled with her work, I consistently get compliments on my hair, she can give you what you want each and every time or she can brainstorm and give you something you never knew was your wildest hair dreams!

I came to Erica years ago when I moved to the valley and a good friend of mine recommended her. I will not go to anyone other than Erica! I was referred to Erica a little over a year ago when the pricey Beverly Hills stylist I’d been going to for over 10 years seemed unwilling to cut my long, straight, style-​free hair. Determined to find someone willing to work with me in finding a flattering super-​short cut, I gave Erica a try. As everyone has mentioned, she rocks. In one fell swoop, Erica took 10 inches of hair off my head and at least 10 years off my face! I loved the cut and got nothing but compliments. I continued seeing my old ($$$) colorist who continued to charge me an exorbitant amount to color my super short locks. I mentioned this to Erica and she said she also does color. I was a little hesitant because I haven’t found many stylists that are as gifted with color as they are with cutting (and vice versa). But again, I trusted Erica and she did a fantastic job matching my unique red color. After a lot of thought, I decided to go platinum blond and Erica worked hard to come up with a flattering hue that I just LOVE. She’s everything you could want in a stylist /​colorist — talented, reasonably priced, a good listener with a great personality. She also doesn’t over book or stack her clients, so you can get in and out pretty quickly. People who haven’t seen me in a while say I look like a whole new person and I agree. Erica is the only person I will trust with my Asian hair. She has been my stylist and colorist for more than 10 years. She understands how to listen to your preferences and what’s even better is that she’s an expert with color. After my cousin saw how awesome Erica made me look at my wedding in 2006, she started going to her. We are still clients of Erica’s because we both know all too well how hard it is to find someone who gets Asian hair.

When I arrived in LA nine whole years ago, I was an innocent lil thing with cluelessly bad hair. Stumbling upon Erica Packard at Dej Salon was the best thing that ever happened to me. She’s as good as it gets.
Erica is a real talented lady who knows what she’s talking about, so listen to her advice. She gently coaxed me into growing out my insanely thick, unruly, frizzy ass hair (which I was forcing into harsh, severely flat ironed A-​line bob every day) into glorious mermaid waves I did not think it was possible for any human being to achieve without sorcery. She also taught me how to take care of my hair. Thanks to her, I am now a low maintenance babe who has been freed from countless hours chained to a blow dryer and hair straightener.
She earned my trust pretty much immediately. Her prices are beyond reasonable and she is the first stylist I have ever encountered who truly respects a request for «just a trim.» She never tries to sell me things I don’t want. In fact, she’ll tell it to you straight and recommend drugstore products to save you money instead of pushing fancy salon products. If you did want to go fancy, she always has a great recommendation, but it always seems genuine and never like a sales pitch.
On top of all of this, she is an awesome person and it is truly a pleasure to go hang out with her for an hour while she cuts my hair. Over the years, I have sent many a friend to Erica, and they all agree that she is the best hair stylist you can find. She can count all of us as her loyal clients– including my sister, who flies in from Boston for a bangin’ new look.
Bottom line– go to Erica. You will love your hair, you will love your wallet afterwards, you will love her.

I’ve been seeing Erica for over 2 years now and she is a GENIUS. I have very difficult kinky middle eastern hair that she magically sculpts into a stylish pixie cut. I started going to her when I had an angled bob and there was no one I trusted more than her to chop it all off. Erica takes the time to make sure you get exactly what you want, plus she’s an awesome person to sit and chat with. Oh, and I’m very picky about my color and she makes it look so natural and vibrant. I think Corey S. found the perfect adjective for Erica: gifted. I started visiting Erica when I saw the miracle she worked on my roommate’s frizz factory, and I’ve never looked back. She is professional, knowledgeable, and it is a treat to spend time with her every couple months.
