City Eyes Optometry Center

This place is awesome. Everyone is very friendly. I was referred here by a friend and was very pleased with my eye exam and my new glasses. I usually have a hard time finding a frame that fits my head. They ordered a frame I really liked in a bigger size to fit my face.

I had a great experience at city eyes optometry. The eye exam was very thorough. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I’m usually very picky about my glasses and take a long time to find a frame I like. They had great selections of frames and were very patient with me until I made my decision. Definitely will go there again and again.

Great selection of frames and no shortage of help picking them out if you come by yourself! Dr. Steinberg did a very thorough exam using technology I had never even seen before in the previous offices I have gone to over the years. I’m still getting lots of complements on both my sun glasses and my very different (for me) teal colored frames.

Just got my new glasses from City Eyes & getting compliments already. The staff and Drs. are very friendly & make you feel welcome. They answer all questions with professionalism and facts. Most important, they always get my prescription right the first time. No need to go back for adjustments.

Service was ok, but the contact lens evaluation was not mentioned, cost us $ 108 out of pocket! It was totally uncalled for!

I went to City Eyes Optometry to get my eyes examined and get contact lenses. The doctor was very knowledgable and nice. The contact lens specialist did a great job fitting me with very comfortable contact lenses. They gave me contact lens samples while I was waiting for my contact lenses which arrived just in couple days. I’ll defenetly go back!

Very friendly and helpful stuff! Got my old frames adjusted and fixed, and got new sunglasses that I got tons of compliments on.

Truly the worst of the worst! I am now at week 6, still waiting for them to make my second pair of glasses that are actually made with the correct prescription. So far, they are unable to get it right. On top of it all, they are unfriendly, arrogant and condescending. What a nightmare!!!

I just went in to get my eyeglasses and sunglasses that I didn’t purchase from them adjusted and they were very accommodating and did a great job! Everyone was super friendly and very professional. I’ll be back when I need my next eye exam for sure.

Norman and his team exemplifies everything I was looking for in optometry office. There expertise in the field of optometry is evident in the way they explain everything in a simple manner. They also have a great frame selection and exquisite customer service!

The time taken to show you the best in eyewear was great. The attention to the exam was beyond my expectations. The staff and the doctors are very aware of your time and are quick to take care of your needs. I am very pleased with my glasses. I can see perfectly and know I have no other eye problems as these were carefully looked at and eliminated.

The doctors take their time with each patient, explaining the mechanics of the eye. I did not feel pressured or rushed when I was at City Eyes, which is one of the most important qualities I look for when visiting any Doctor’s office. I highly recommend City Eyes Optometry and will continue to be a loyal customer.

They receive 2 stars only because the optometrist was nice and informative but the staff only wanted to make a sale. When I went in to make the appointment I showed my insurance and said I’m covered but never gave a price of how much glasses would cost. I went and when it came time to pick out frames (after my exam) that’s when the prices were shared. I had no other choice at this point. WITH my insurance I had to pay nearly $ 200. That’s more than I pay a month for insurance! When I went to pick it my glasses they couldn’t wait to get me out of there. Now I’ve learned to ask and have it in writing next time I go for glasses but unfortunately it won’t be to City Eyes Optemetry.

Dr S and the staff are AMAZING! They convinced me to try progressive lenses after I hated them at another Dr’s office. They are so fun and supportive! I had a weird eye infection a few months back and they gave me an ointment that cleared it up in 24 hours! Love City Eyes!

I have been going to City Eyes for years. They are so wonderful!
I first found them when I was looking for an optometrist who took my insurance. Most of the other places will require you to pay in full upfront and then bill back your insurance. City eyes does not do this and it makes my life so easy. They looked up my specific insurance, found out the discount I received, and applied it immediately. I only had to pay the portion that I owed.
Next, the staff is really great. Both Dr. Steinberg and his brother are so easy to talk to, down-​to-​earth, and knowledgeable about all things eyes related. It makes for a very laid-​back feel, which is a nice change from the large, informal doctors’ offices I was used to.
Also, one brother handles general eye health while the other focuses on contact lenses — which means I can knock out both appointments back to back. I used to have to schedule those appointments on separate days because, even though both specialists were in the same office at my previous optometrist, I could never get the appointments booked together. At City Eyes, I am in and out, both appointments done, in 45 minutes or less.
Lastly, but definitely not least, they are open on Saturdays. I often have an issue making doctors appointments because I work the same hours those offices are open. Having the ability to come in, get my eyes checked, pick up lenses, or ask any questions on a Saturday is a benefit that I just can’t put a price tag on. They do this to make life easier for their customers and I greatly appreciate it.
I would definitely recommend City Eyes to anyone looking for a new optometrist or contact lense specialist.

I’ve been going to City Eyes for 3 years now for both glasses & contacts & I’ve been nothing but pleased with everything they do. They have a great selection on frames & take the time to give their honest opinion. Making an appointment was super easy; called the same day & got in. Furthermore, I was able to pick up my sunglasses AND regular glasses days later as opposed to weeks!!! Now that’s what I call service!

I was extremely satisfied with my experience here today. Everyone was very helpful and clear with explaining details, both medically and financially.
I am especially happy with, and highly recommend, my doctor Marianna Mkrtchyan, O.D.
She was very knowledgeable which should be expected from your eye doctor. But it was more than that with her … You could tell that she genuinely loves what she does in the way that she talks about and explains the eye. On top of that, she was honest; which is hard to find in the medical field these days. She could have easily convinced me that I should buy glasses with a mild prescription to see further distances slightly sharper … and I would have. However, she let me weigh out the economical worthiness based on the facts; and I appreciate that very much.
Overall, I highly recommend City Eyes Optometry Group in Sherman Oaks, and especially my doctor, Marianna Mkrtchyan, O.D.

Over priced !!! Watch out!!! Your co pay can be 15 to 25 for glasses exam which is correct… contact fitting exam 109 DOLLARS extra and that’s even with your insurance!!! One block away is VISUAL EYES OF OPTOMETRY and they charge 40 dollars for contact fitting exam in total you pay 65 dollars for both because you have insurance !!! Without insurance you can go to Costco for 89 for both contacts and glasses !!! Do the math !!! Don’t get ripped off !!! Even if optometrist like them have the legal right to charge that much that’s horrible !!!
That’s the hilarious part … Your work is NOT respective to your prices and YES I was a patient for 2 years !!!
