I was really disappointed here, as the others mentioned, there are gorgeous dresses in the window… But the salesperson was very unfriendly. I showed her a photo of a dress I’d tried on and liked at another store to see if she had it or something similar… She said«no», but said they could make it for me «easy». I asked how much they’d charge for an easy to make dress & she said $ 2000. I told her that I could buy the dress directly from the designer for $ 1425. She said she was sure they could work something out for me. I left quickly at that point b/c I’d lost some trust & felt uncomfortable.

The dress selection was REALLY nice — but the salesgirl was AWFUL. She had a bad attitude from the second I walked in the door. She made me wait to try on dresses even though the store was completely empty. She made me feel very unimportant and was not helpful at all. I found a dress I loved and told her I wanted to buy it and she didn’t even seem to care! I ended up changing my mind about it just because of her bad attitude.

Ahhh, the joys of wedding dress shopping. I can certainly enjoy it more since it’s not MY wedding dress I’m shopping for. I experienced the agony and ecstasy of that journey many moons ago. I made an appointment at the shop without knowing more about it than was posted on City Search. I was planning a wedding dress hunt for my future sister in law on a Friday afternoon. I had NO expectations for this shop. The morning before the appointment, a nice woman from the shop called to see if we could reschedule the appointment for later in the day or another day altogether. I explained this wasn’t possible due to scheduling conflicts — we were able to keep our original appointment. Before arriving, I tried to call a few times to find out about the parking situation. The listed phone number that had worked to make the appointment, rang in as a fax machine. So I faxed a note over. No response… Hmmmm. A little annoying. Upon arriving, I drove around the block twice looking for parking, including driving through the alley behind to see if they had any secret«behind the store» parking. No luck. Fortunately, the parking gods were smiling on me and as I rounded the block for the second time, a space opened up in front of me. I swooped. 2 hour street parking. More than enough time as long as you can find a space. It took my future sister in law about 15 minutes at 1:30 on Friday afternoon to find a space. Once inside, I was pleasantly surprised! While it looks like you’ve stepped back in time about 10 years, the décor is still tasteful and beautiful and TERRIBLY romantic — which is just the right mood for wedding dress shopping isn’t it? The shop owner, Angelica(‘m pretty sure that was her name), was amazing. After giving Crystalyn and I some time to browse around(but not too much time to waste our appointment) she asked some specific and important questions, pulled about 3 gowns and the fashion show started. I sat on the comfy overstuffed couch and waited for my mom to arrive(she parked illegally across the street in a business parking lot without consequence). Every dress that the shop owner picked was PERFECT on Crystalyn. The couple that Crystalyn picked out, paled in comparison. Angelica definitely knows her stuff, and she made us ALL(even chubby pregnant me) feel like princesses. The shopping experience was fantastic. Unfortunately, they wouldn’t let me take pictures — I would have loved to post one here so you could see how perfectly romantic(without being saccharine and sticky) it is. The prices on the dresses(we came to find out later) are high. However, the expertise you get in suggestions on what will look good on you, and how the design can be tailored to look like it was custom made for you are valuable. So if you’ve got at least $ 1000 to spend(more of course would be better) this is a good place to go. If you’re hoping to get away with something less than that and still get a pretty dress, try Pebbles Bridal — they’ve got DEALS. Just don’t expect the«Bridal Suite» experience.
