Nina’s Italian Grill

Been here before, the food was good. Came back tonight and waited 50 min for our food. Wait staff appeared to be confused as to who had what table.

First time here — Not impressed. Had 2 daily specials and a hero and fries. It took literally 55 minutes to get our food and there were only 2 other small tables occupied. The fries were an add on for $ 3.95 and there couldn’t have been even 25 fries on the plate — a very small portion for the price in my opinion. There wasn’t even an offer to refill empty water glasses in all that time. The food was piping hot and the other portions were fine but I probably won’t go back.

Let me start by saying that I love the food at Nina’s. The pizza is absolutely great, the dough is perfect and the sauce is pretty tasty. I think my favorite menu item though is the chicken wing dip. The chips are typically amazing and warm although sometimes you get the one monster chip because the are fried together.
So why do I only give 3 stars? That’s simple, the service is not the best and sometimes the portions just randomly change. There has been more than one time where I have walked in, stepped up to the counter and had a couple of employees just star at me. I will say that they are always very friendly i just hate when I’m standing there awkwardly waiting for someone to acknowledge that I’m there, so loss of 1 star. What was the reason for the loss of the second star? The portion sizes seem to change. The chicken wing dip is AMAZING! Absolutely delicious but it usually comes in a big styrofoam cup and instead tonight it came in a little tiny half full 8oz plastic bowl. I would say the styrofoam was at least 12−16oz. So loss of another star.
If those issues didn’t exist it would get 5 stars easily. Like I said the food is amazing but I would like a little more of it and a little better service, not to say they are mean just need to be a little more attentive.

Nina’s is great! Their garlic knots, particularly, are the BEST I’ve ever eaten! I highly recommend this restaurant!
