Cattleman’s Roadhouse

Cattleman’s was everything I wanted in a steakhouse and more. I ordered the salad bar along with the top sirloin. The salad bar was probably the best part. Everything was clean and arranged nicely. And as an add on to my steak for $ 2.99, no other deal could compare.
As far as the steak was concerned, it was excellent as well. Juicy and cooked the way I ordered it. I had seen other reviews on this location saying they’ve had several issues with service and the way that their steaks were served, but I must say I have no complaints. Our waitress was knowledgable and very nice. The only downfall to me was the rolls, which had a very dry bitter taste. Overall, I highly recommend. One of the best steakhouses I’ve ever had the pleasure of having dinner at.

Had a meal today, the reviews are true, chicken tenders were nice, fries not so. Steak was tough, too tough to eat, the manager did remove it from the bill. Onion rings were ok. Wouldn’t rush back. So so service. Chick fil a has better chicken, for a much smaller price.

Sent my steak back twice for ‘medium rare’. Both times it came back cooked like leather. I finally just put it in my Aunt’s go box for the dog. I give up!

While reading reviews my expectations weren’t that high, however, my experience was exceptional. Food, staff, service, top notch. I will definitely be returning on my next trip through.

Decent for remote location of Shepherdsville, KY but can find better quality in Louisville, KY a short drive north. Good steaks for the price but vegetable selection needs improvement.

So first the Veterans Day was a joke only 2 – 3 hours for lunch when they first open. Service sucked but food was great. Then now vet discount. Come on…

A few years ago the place was a lot better in my opinion. Couldn’t find too much bad.
Recently in the past year a series of constant bad experiences ruined it for me.
Not everyone will say the same, I just seem to always get the short end there.
First strike was one of the managers just reeming one of the teen age girls employed there (she was crying) that’s just not called for.
Strike two was when I ordered a full slab of ribs and one half was like a brick. Really hard and stuck together. No one cared. Really?
And again every one else seemed to be getting perfect service but me.
Maybe it’s just me? But there are way more options to eat.

This is the ultimate choice for the family and myself. There is always two or three people waiting as you walk in the door and one of the first things you notice is the cleanliness of the restaurant and of course, the salad bar. The salad bar is a must to order, you can never go wrong with it.
The waitresses are always dressed professionally with a smile. I always have my 3 and 6 year old. The waitresses make it a great experience because they work hard to keep the kids smiling. This last time we went our waitress offered my daughter a surprise to eat all her food, she ate every bite.
We are always well taken care of with the food being cooked to order. Everything comes in a timely manner and cooked exactly the way we ask. If we ask for specifics, we get them. I always need extra plates to split food and no reminder is needed.
This is a highly recommended restaurant if you are in the Shepherdsville area looking for a great place to dine!

For the quality, it was not worth a $ 60 bill! The food was not impressive. We were sat right next to the beverage machine and we had to sit and listen to the waitresses personal conversations. I will not be revisiting.

Poor grade of meats. Had hamburger and u could see the pre packaged shape. Tasted like fake beef. Very unfortunate for we had a great server. Typical steakhouse environment. Sorry, but food quality is poor, & I would not make choice to go back.

Great Salad Bar! You don’t see salad bars very often anymore. It is $ 2.99 to add yo your meal but it is worth it because you can forego the appetizer and get a smaller portion steak. Our waitress was very nice and she checked on us often.
No peanuts at this chain but our steaks were cooked to order correctly. The rolls aren’t ss good as TxRH, but they do have the cinnamon butter.

So I’ve been here a few times. There is usually always a wait so I recommend making reservations. The salad bar is really good, it’s always looked good and the lettuce, toppings etc look fresh. I always get the salmon and my fiancé gets a steak. We’ve never had to send food back and our servers have always been nice. Price is a like any other steak place.

Had a delicious meal. Onion rings were wonderful, had porterhouse, and sheriff’s top sirloin. Salad bar was the best. We would return weekly. Staff was friendly and attentive.

We stopped here on our way South. Does not seem to be a chain, and not bad for a local steakhouse. We sat in the bar but at a booth. Good salad bar. Maybe due to the holiday season (it was a few days before Christmas), our food took a long time to come out, even though we both ordered rare to medium rare steaks. The steaks were good, but we were in transit, and hadn’t planned on stopping so long.

I am on travel and the hotel front desk recommended this place. Plus, I saw a billardboard.
I was excited because back home there is a Cattleman’s Steakhouse and it is GOOD! So I was chasing that Food High.
I was not impressed, but I was tired and hungry. This is the level of a Logan’s Steakhouse but not as good. The last time I was in Kentucky the steak was delicious. That was at the Texas Roadhouse down 65.
The bartender was nice, but more focused on the «Regulars». I know they were Regulars because she knew their name and drink orders. I myself like the special treatment I get from being a Regular but that doesnt mean you seem to forget that I need service too. I may never be back but I’m a Unilocaler.
I sat at the bar and it was loud. Not from TVs but from the drunk regulars.
Again the steak was less than average and served on a plate smaller than the salad plate at the unlimited salad bar. Check out the picture my steak.
I had to use a lot of 57 sauce on the steak. The loaded potatoe was ok.
I never had a manager stop by and ask me about my meal. But he did make his way to the bar to check on the register.
I do not recommend this place.

Good copy of other steakhouses but this actually has a really good salad bar. Lunch specials are good value. Very good experience.
Excellent rolls too. I would recommend this place and the service is top notch.
Comfortable table and chairs.

Walked a mile to see why you Yeppers rated Cattleman’s so low, Stopped in for a late diner, and beer. Had a $ 11 Speical, sat at the bar. Food was good! Just the way I asked. Service was great! Very polite. Quick! CJ thank you for good service will stop next time I’m in town.

Pretty run of the mill steakhouse. Everyone liked their food — chicken and steaks– and the bread and salad bar are great as well. When you need a steak, apparently they do it right.

Ribs and potato were cold, steak tasted like soot. I could understand this if it was busy, but only 4 tables seated in the building when I was served. Not coming back. But great service.
