Lupe Tortilla

The service was really good and the fajitas are awesome. I will be coming back for more real soon.

There are several Mexican restaurants close by, but this is the best that we have found so far and we rate it a solid 4 stars. We have been 4 – 5 times recently and the service is always good, and we were once visited by the manager while dining to check that everything was good and to our satisfaction — a nice touch and something that I have not experienced at any of the other locals. The carne asada is always good and my wife’s favorite. Always a good sign is that (for example yesterday) you hear your waiter taking an order in Mexican which must say something about authenticity and flavor/​quality.
The chips and salso and charro beans are great and refilled as needed. The margarita’s do not disappoint.
One little thing that I find a little unnecessary and disrespectful — is it really called for to describe things as «beeg» instead of big (other cheesy examples too — just not nice IMO). Just look at their website — slap bang in the middle of the front page — «Es Preety Goood» — I am not Mexican but even I as a white boy from England find this really objectionable — don’t you? I am sure that many of the Mexican staff do, In 2016 this is just BS in my opinion. If it continues then I guess I will have to vote with my feet and find a different Mexican restaurant hang out.
«Es a reeel peety Mr Looope» but you will lose our business, and have probably lost that of others already, if you don’t get your act together and get rid of this racist bull sh@t!!!

Amazing experience the food quality was really good and the staff did everything they could to make you feel really welcomed. I had the sangria Blanca to drink which was good. For my meal Lupe Chicken which came out hot and the same way I order it.

The service was fantastic. My wife and I did not order any alcohol, but our waters and sodas were kept filled throughout the meal. The table side guacamole was excellent. Nice balance of lemon, lime and spiciness in a creamy blend. A very nice portion also — enough for 4 to 6 people as an appetizer.
Chicken fajitas were delicious. Chicken was moist and the accompaniments were ample. Came with four huge and tasty tortillas. Very good.
My wife had the grilled mahi-​mahi. Was very tasty. Only criticism was that she ordered it to get something «on the healthy side» and it came covered in a buttery, cheesy sauce not mentioned on the menu.
Overall very pleased and likely will return. We might get the guacamole and split one of the fajita dishes next time. Plenty to eat!

Everything was spot on. Just what Tex-​Mex should be! Perfect steak fajitas, grilled shrimp, fresh flour tortillas, charro beans, queso dip… This meal made my day! Even our server Alan was awesome

Absolutely gem of a restaurant. Without a doubt best beef fajitas you’ll find. Been here dozens of times and will keep coming back. Bomb tres leches too!

Great, responsive service, yummy guacamole and queso, RASPBERRY MARGARITAS were fab. Meal was good, too.

Your average Tex-​Mex restaurant with another name. Service was slow, food was average, drinks OK.
Though their special of Hatch Steak was the best thing that was ordered and it was delicious. The steak was a perfect medium rare. It’s a seasonal thing, so go during hatch chili season!

Free chips and salsa. Queso with taco meat is the best! Fajitas are always great. And the margaritas are amazing. Have always loved Lupes. They never disappoint.

We stopped in based on a recommendation and I’m glad we did because the food and ambiance was uplifting, festive and fabulous. The downer was the service-​although friendly just super duper slow-​especially when it was a late lunch 3 p.m. and there were hardly any patrons in the restaurant. I hate to see what would happen during a rush!
It took 10 minutes for the waiter just to come to table-​we were parched and wanted some water ASAP so speedy service would have been welcomed.
The menu had wonderful choices like crab tostadas. Fajitas is their specialty and our waiter brought us out some samples which were so tasty so we ordered some.
The plate size flour tortillas were thin and perfect. Yum-​Yum, Nom-​Nom, Mas Mas! Soft, fluffy and warm. A delicious accompaniment to our beef and shrimp fajitas for two. The portions were generous, the shrimp were jumbo and they were a winner. Some of the beef fajita strips were a bit salty but overall a winner. Lots of side «accoutrements» were served. Like sour cream, shredded cheese, guacamole, onions, etc.
So far, and sadly it’s one of the better Mexican food restaurants I’ve been to in this area. Despite the location (East side of the I-​45 which is not easy to get to if you’re in the Woodlands), I may be back to try other dishes.

As usual the fajitas and margaritas are amazing. Staff is friendly and courteous. Bartenders are on it! Gotta love this place.

This place is really enjoyable, with a group of four, we sat outside to enjoy the weather. The hostess directed us to our table and very lazily handed us the menus.
The menu has a somewhat wide variety of choices, generally not seemingly desirable.
I chose the new Crab & Avocado Salad after glancing at the menu. The presentation of this plate is fine, it is a full avocado split in half with crab salad and cream surrounded by lettuce and sliced tomatoes on top. The actual plate was slightly too-​big for the food itself but this isn’t a 5 star restaurant. The taste of the Crab & Avocado Salad was enjoyable and filling. I was satisfied with my choice.
My partners decided to share El Pedro, it came in a very big plate, I did not taste El Pedro, but it seemed that it was enjoyable as well.
The plate (or dessert) that I would most likely recommend is the Tres Leches cake. It was rich in flavor and knowing it’s Mexican recipe, I was satisfied with the flavor.
Personally I would not visit this restaurant again, but if you are looking to try something new, it would be adequate.

The salsa is different but very good. They serve very light, crispy chips with some warm pinto beans and another cup of salsa. Mixing the two together proved very delicious. I had the filet fajitas. Most of the meat was tender but their were a couple of tough pieces. Homemade flour tortillas were outstanding. I’ll be back.

The chips were very crisp and thin. The salsa and beans were homemade. Since it was my first visit the chef came out with a sample of the beef fajitas. Their specialty. It was delicious. Highly recommend this place.

Love it. The beef has so much flavor. I don’t understand why this place has only three and a half stars. I think it definitely deserves five. We have never had a bad experience here at Lupe. The staff is so kind. The dessert is awesome too. If you want any recommendations, I recommend everything! Love it!

My wife and I decided to go to this Lupe Tortilla for a late lunch. It was not busy at all and we were seated in the bar area. We had several waiters pass us with others busy watching the TV (NFL). We waited for 20 minutes without anyone even taking our drink order. We decided to leave and go across the highway to Casa Medina.
Bottom line: horrible service, we will not be going back to this particular location.

I went to Lupe on Saturday with friends and the food was great as usual, but we had a new waiter named Adam. He was awesome!!! Great hire! I hope he sticks around for awhile as you will have a lot of very happy customers. Nice job Adam. .. We never wanted for anything! You were top notch.

Menu has lost of options but honestly didn’t pick the fajitas the orders where to big and I will not finish one my self it will be good if you want to share a meal.
Appetizer: Queso flameado with chorizo and some flour tortillas
Hubby had the carne asada with rice and beans and they brought flour tortillas he enjoys the flavor of the meet a little lime after taste to it that is very pleasant to have in your meal he enjoy it as well and was happy with his food.
Kids pick from the menu design for them and one had the chicken tenders with fries, and the other had cheese quesadilla with rice and beans they’re kids but they know their food the chicken tenders where a little dry but she told me it was still good the quesadilla was a little greasy from all the cheese but once he started eating it didn’t matter he told me it was good hey both finish their food.
As for me I had the barbacoa tacos in a fresh made corn tortilla with rice and beans I love the texture of the meat with the cream and cilantro they put on top I will have them again for sure.
Dessert the kids had the icream that comes with their kids meal which I love they get to pick from their options Popsicle, vanilla ice cream or chocolate cover ice cream bar. They where very happy since usually they can’t pick this things in restaurants :)
We also order the tres leches cake to go since we where very please with our meal and we got to taste once we got home it was creamy and delicious it has lots of cinnamon in it different but good.
Will visit with family again.
