Food is always so good here! A plate of fresh hummus is $ 5! So worth it! Taste homemade! Enjoyed eating here once in awhile… We tried a different dish this time! The chicken kabob is Delicious! I ordered the lamb stew! That was really good too! The rice is always good! Everything is just really good here! The salad is hit or miss. My salad was tasty, whereas my husband was too sour. Definitely dishes are sharing worthy and more than enough for 2 adults.

When I first walked into Lama, I was a bit underwhelmed with the menu, which was a mistake! Although the menu is simple, the flavors are delectable! The meat is perfectly seasoned and cooked, with distinct, rich flavors. They also have complimentary pita chips and pita slices to dip into tahini, garlic sauce, or a spicy chili paste. It doesn’t compare to say the likes of Niko Nikos, but I’d definitely return!

This place is legit. I had falafel, came with a delicious salad. Parents had the veggie platter, they loved the baba ganoush. Fiancé had the lamb, he couldn’t stop racing about it. We will be back!

Just wanted to give another shout out to lamas, they’re always consistent, great customer service even the cooks at the back are awesome! I’m sure the owners treating them right because I consistently see the same cooks there. They are the ones making the magic! Say hi or bye to them on your way out, they should feel appreciated too!

Let me start by saying my cousin and I are both middle eastern. This is ALWAYS our first pick for a cousin date! We also drag are other halves with us. If your looking for great flavors and reasonably priced food– you’ll find it here. When you walk in you can grab some fresh thin pita or fried pita and some tahini or garlic sauce to dip it in. I ALWAYS get the shawarma plate. The flavors are authentic, and make us feel warm inside like we are eating our moms cooking! My fiancée is the one who is trying the menu for us. But everything thus far has been great. We will continue to go back, and even keep forcing my fiancée to make the drive out there to pick me up my shawarma plate. The only thing I’m not a fan of is the hummus there. But I make that all the time at home, so no star loss on this one folks! The staff doesn’t go above and beyond nor any gimmicks to get people in the door. Which I’m okay with. Sometimes I just want to go other my food and pay, wait for my meal and then just chat with who I’ve gone with and not be bothered. That’s exactly what you get here!

Get the shawarma platter, it’s a ton of food for a cheap price. The food is good but there’s better Mediterranean food in Houston at aladdins or fadis

A little more thought needs to go into pricing, a falafel sandwich(which cost a pittance to make) should be cheaper than the meat sandwiches. The food is ok, but given there are not any other middle eastern eateries, it’ll do.

Stopped by for an early dinner on the patio. Enjoyed a few appetizers and my kebab plate. If I am in the area would return but would not be making a road trip to specifically eat there. One note if you have patio fans. plug them in so they work.

I’m not a Mediterranean food eater, but my boyfriend is in love with this type of food; so as a good girlfriend, I let him decide what to eat and hold and behold. this is the place he chooses. I tried going with an open mind and to my surprise it wasn’t too bad. The establishment was very clean and spacious. LAMASAMBOSA– meat served with dip This reminds me of eggrolls, but not as flavorful. The meat wasn’t seasoned well and was very bland. The outer crisp was nice, but didn’t provide any flavor either. The dip was just a spicy sauce and didn’t do much flavor-wise. This dish was not impressive at all. GYROSSANDWICH– tender juicy slices of gyros meat on hot bread, smothered with onion, wedges of fresh tomatoes, topped with specialty cucumber yogurt sauce, and served with french fries The sandwich was pretty good. I like that the meat was very tender and had some nice flavor. The onions weren’t overpowering and gave an extra crunch to the sandwich and the tomatoes added some nice acidity. The fries were really crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Very tasty. LAMALAMBCHOPS– 4 pieces of lamb chops marinated in special spices, grilled to perfection, served with white rice, salad, and pita bread This is the house special. The lamb chops were very tender and very flavorful. I really enjoyed this dish because everything went very well with each other. The salad was very acidic, but when eaten with everything else, the acidity is greatly appreciated. The white rice wasn’t dry, but the flavor didn’t meld well with the lamb, but the texture was just right. If I’m in the area, I’ll definitely stop by and eat here, but I don’t think I’ll drive all the way here just to eat. There are plenty of nice Mediterranean places to try, but it’s definitely a must try if you’re in the Woodlands and want to try something different.

Fast, clean, casual, counter service. We come here at least twice a month. The food is not rich, oily or spicy so one does not feel as guilty about the(unhealthy) sin of eating out. The stuffed grape leaves, baba ganoush, kufta kabob, shawarma, lamb shank, lamb chops, gyros, chicken kabobs, baklava are always reliably good and fresh. The price is very reasonable and the portion is huge… the meat platter $ 13 is big enough to feed 2 adults. Also fast to-go take out. Food is usually ready within 15 minutes of calling in order.

Bad initial impression. Had a coupon that they wouldn’t accept bcz it was on my phone, not printed out. I’ll take responsibility for that, but they really should accept mobile coupons since this is a very tech-savvy/-heavy world we live in now. With that said, the food was OUTSTANDING! Everything was absolutely delicious. If you’re craving Mediterranean cuisine, go here. You won’t be disappointed. :)

I love trying new food, but the time we visited this place was not a good experience. We went for an early dinner, maybe 3 or 4pm, and the food was cold and the customer service left much to be desired. Maybe we visited at the wrong time, but is it ever really a wrong time to visit a restaurant? I will not be returning to this place.

I agree with a previous reviewer: hummus tasted like pure tahini, the pita was dry, and my husbands gyro was bland. I had the vegetarian platter which was just ok, the one big stand out for me was their baba ghanoush, I would make the trip just for orders of it; besides that I don’t think we’ll be back.

You honestly cannot go wrong with anything on Lama’s menu. Time and time again these guys deliver consistent quality food at good value. Not a full service place(but they do being your food out). I recently had the kafta plate and it was superb. Unlimited tahini and garlic sauce. And traditional hot sauce out for grabbing to complement your meal. Very few places that far north of Houston can meet or compete with Lama. I hear they do offer hookah but haven’t had the chance to try. All in all I recommend this place for its quality meals and laid back atmosphere.

Nothing to write home about. The hummus had too much tahini. The meat on the gyro platter was very dry. And the Kibbeh wasn’t all that great either. The only thing I liked was their Pita bread.

Spent 4 days in Texas and this was my first meal from the Hobby Airport. Came here around 4pm local time. Since it wasn’t the peak dining hours, our group of 3 were able to seat right away. Nice casual setting. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. We shared a small sized hummus appetizer with pita bread. After devouring it like beasts, we realized we should have ordered the larger size. I had the Gyros Sandwich which also came with some fries. I’ve never had a bad gyro before. It was delicious. I don’t know if it was because it was my first real meal of the day(traveled east and lost hours) but I could have eaten more food in general. The menu selection here is larger and has more to choose from compared to other Mediterranean restaurants I’ve been to. Many dessert choices and there’s also a hookah for $ 13+ I’d like to come back here again in the future to try other entrees from the menu. 4.5 stars.

The vegetarian combination plate was huge. It consisted of 2 falafel balls, 4 pita pieces, Greek salad, tabouleh, grape leaves and hummus. They don’t skimp on the olive oil. The falafel balls were drier than other places I’ve tried, but tasted nuttier like quinoa and had a lot of sesame seeds. I prefer the garlic sauce over the tahini sauce that they had near the complimentary pita chip station. Overall, I think the food was pretty average in taste, but I enjoyed it.

I don’t live in Texas anymore. What’s something I miss about it? No, silly, not the heat, it’s Lama! This is seriously one of the best, if not the best, Mediterranean Cafes I’ve ever been to. It’s never crowded, it’s cute, and the staff are just awesome. The prices are also pretty fantastic as I always leave with another meal for the next day because they give you so much food! I’ve tried a variety of things here: the falafels, stuffed grape leaves, tabouli salad, greek salad, gyro platter, shawerma platter, rice pudding, and baklava. The falafels are spiced perfectly, grape leaves are fantastic(according to the boy), both salads are yummy and fresh, and both platters are amazing. I never tried rice pudding before coming to Lama and it is so refreshing, different, and delicious! It’s sweet but not overly. The baklava… holy smokes. The BEST I’ve ever had. It is just to die for. I would fly back to Texas just to get a slice of that. Yep, I would. They offer two different sauces for your meal(and NO you don’t have to pay extra for it!): a tzatziki sauce and a garlic one. Both are awesome and I always like to use both! They also let you get pita bread for your meal as well(again, no additional charge). The boyfriend and I could come here and order an appetizer, two entrees, and a dessert for about $ 30. Plus, we always ended up taking half the food home so we really got two meals out of it! If you live in the area and haven’t been here yet, seriously, what’s your problem? RUNTOLAMA!
