What a pleasant surprise. Totally delightful, reasonably priced Mexican w very friendly service on the Olympic peninsula. Carne asada, chicken, shrimp platter all outstanding. Refried beans and rice also excellent. Tomatillo salsa very refreshing; the red sauce very spicy and smoky. Only downsides: both tortillas and tortilla chips quite stuck together. Overall remarkable.

I like the facelift! It was bittersweet to stop in for din and see that our Lil spot has gotten REALLY popular. I agree with the other posters… awesome food. I’m glad to see much deserved clientel here. I’m hoping this place doesn’t succumb to sysco truck deliveries and ‘this plate is hot’ type Mexican style sit down. I love it here. fish tacos are great but when in doubt do the Carne Asad burrito. please show your love with cash, baby! tips are so important!

They are back open the remodel looks great. Got take out Friday. The would have a 5 star but the switched to Pepsi products. Loved to have a coke in a glass bottle with my tacos reminded me of Mexico. Really it’d a 5 star

After a long remolding the best Mexican restaurant is back to business. The food is excellent and service is also excellent. For a true Mexican cuisine this is the place, prices are better then fast food.

Las Palmas is back! After being closed several months for repairs & remodeling they are finally open again. Prices look pretty much the same as before. Food is still very good and all homemade. When I was in tonight they were slammed. Word gets out fast. It took a bit for the food to come out but I take it they are short handed for now. It is worth the wait. Welcome back TLP!

This place is not closed completely, they are doing a major remodel and repairs and opening soon! The owners Monica & Miguel are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet and have a true passion for what they do. We eat there all the time and are treated like VIP’s. I can’t wait to see it when it reopens and I can get my favorites again(to many to list). So do yourself a favor and eat there kicking back and enjoying the people surrounding me, everyone is friendly while eating great food!!!

Authentic local Mexican cuisine. The buildings dumpy but the food food is authentic and tasty and is priced reasonably. I keep going back over and over.

Came with a girlfriend I know from my San Diego days since both I and my guy were craving a taste of home. Believe it when I say, this place is a straight dump, BUT aside from the chaos when placing an order(where do you stand when ordering? do we come to the counter to pick it up? does a waitress come and serve us?) and the dirty tables(which, I will give them a pass since this place was super crackin’ when we arrived!) the girl who took our order remained calm in light of dining rush, was kind to us, the kids and delivered the steaming hot plates full of Mexican goodness straightway to hungry patrons! Cheap and delicious, the best part was the damn salsa — FINALLY, some salsa in Washington that DOESNOTTASTELIKEKETCHUP!!! This salsa was sooo damn good and spicy(lo mas picante!), we bought a 32 oz Styrofoam to-go cup full of it, topped with foil and a rubber band! Now, you know its good, when you gotta take home the SALSA in a drink cup!!! We had a variety of dishes that were both flavorful and looked good on the plate — beans were scrumptious and the meat melted in my mouth! Fresh tortillas, yummy guacamole and that cheese — cheese everywhere! LOVE Although it is too far to go to on a regular basis, any and every time I am in the Shelton area, I’m going(and buying more salsa!)

We stopped at this small restaurant for lunch on our way back to Portland. I didn’t expect much, but I was pleasantly surprised! The service was prompt and friendly, the menu was large and diverse, and the food was quite tasty. The décor and ambiance are certainly nothing special, but it felt authentic and welcoming — I’d definitely eat here again.

Food gets 4 stars. The establishment gets 1 or 2 stars for cleanliness, rips in chair cushions, wadded up napkins to steady table legs, etc. I would have given the food 5 stars but I prefer black beans over refried beans and that was not an option. They make guacamole fresh with each order. Chips are not served with the meal which is fine because I end up eating them when they are in front of me. Large portions.

This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in Washington State so far we make the drive from Olympia just to eat here, and go up the 101 sight seeing. I get the wet Carne Asada Burrito. It’s my favorite Mexican food item. They do it really well here. Closest I’ve found to Southern California Carne Asada burrito(the best).

I had some really good carne asada street tacos here today. They were cooked perfectly… I felt like I was back at Rosarito Beach(my go-to place for tacos when I was at SDSU). The place could be a little cleaner, but I was just there for the tacos. I didn’t see the menudo on the menu until after I’d ordered, otherwise that would have been a no-brainer. I used to get great menudo in Long Beach. California, not Washington.

It is my new favorite Mexican restaurant, if you are a fan of Mexican food, then you will be ruined for any other Mexican restaurant once you come here. It is incredible, authentic food. The staff is friendly, the food always comes quickly, and it has a comfortable atmosphere. It is always busy every time I come here, the place looks kind of divey from the outside, and once you come in, it doesn’t ‘look’ much better, but don’t let appearances be your only impression. They always say, «Don’t judge a book by it’s cover.» and this place is a shining example of that, because you will be pleasantly surprised when you come here. Their sauces, both the salsa verde and the salsa rojo are both delicious, are crazy hot, and coming from me, that means something because I love really hot things, but their Pic Del Gallo is not spicy in the least, and has great flavor.

Very good, authentic Mexican food. Was debating 4 star or 5 star(4.5 star is probably valid), but the wonderful taste in my mouth says to go 5-stars… Carne Asada was my dinner choice. I wasn’t offered and didn’t get chips and salsa(no problem), but my beer was delivered quick, and the dinner was no more than 10 minutes — max — from time of order. Beans a little runny, not used to that, with some of that white cheese shredded on top, taste great though. Mixed beans with the nicely moist Mexican rice. Veggies and salsa were all good, along with fried peppers. And ample corn tortillas without having to ask for more!!! Great tasting food. ODDLAYOUT: Friday night at 7:30pm. Location is on the side of downtown. Out of the way, kind of. Odd layout outside… Saw a large carport(or something that appeared to be), a small parking lot, and a food truck with their name next to an old looking building. A car pulled into the parking lot ahead of me. I decided to circle the block… didn’t want to eat dinner out of a food truck in the cold and rain. Then I noticed there is an actual restaurant at the building next to the food truck — with their name and some beer signs outside. Also noticed the car that had pulled in slowly leaving; appeared they thought it looked questionable and didn’t want to stay. They left. I circled the block and went back, parked and walked inside. INSIDE: «Little Mexico»…pretty busy, with ONLY Hispanic people inside. Should tell you it must be good food! Many had obviously showered and out on nicer clothes for a Friday dinner out.(Felt like Mexico). And prices not cheap, but very reasonable for what you received. My entire time there, only Hispanic people came in and went. No white people…(I am white). What a surprise! If I lived in this town, I would most certainly be a regular!!! Friendly young lady taking orders and being the waitress. Did an admirable job of doing everything out front. If you like Mexico and would normally choose Mexico over Hawaii for a travel destination for its authenticity and more adventure, you will love this place! If you are looking for luxury and to be pampered… nothing wrong with that, then you won’t be that impressed. I’m very glad I stopped!

Terrific tacos. Their beef taco is to die for. One of the best I’ve had outside of Texas. First class guacamole and salsa too. Plus their service is fantastic. We had some confusion with some of our order and they resolved it with extreme professionalism. If you’re in the Shelton area and feel the urge for Mexican food, GOHERE!

Pretty solid chicken street-style tacos. The vegetarian tacos are truly vegetarian– they don’t use lard or pork in the beans so you can safely eat here with your veggie friends.

Authentic, super nice staff, and the bathroom was much cleaner than I would expect for a «hole in the wall» restaurant such as this. The tacos are fantastic, simple, authentic Mexican tacos. The wet burrito is amazing as well, it’s not listed on the menu as such, but they will know what you’re talking about. It’s like a burrito and an enchilada had a big, beautiful, goopy love child.
