Went here for breakfast during my break and it was great. I ordered a BLT and boy was i suprised. They give a very generous amount of bacon and the bacon was cooked great. Will be coming back here again

I’ve been going here for years, their food is delicious as it is all made fresh to order, everybody is very friendly. It is a small place so better for getting your food to go, but there are a few tables if you want to sit down. My only complaints are that everything is cooked in/​smothered in grease, which makes their bacon egg and cheeses delicious, but sometimes gives you a stomach ache after. Also they are cash only which can be annoying sometimes.

I’m sorry but my egg sandwiches are always overcooked. The eggs are burnt edges and more than once. Simply have a terrible stomach ache after eating them too. Very greasy! Besides– does anyone know if they open for lunch. Tried to stop for a burger and they were closed so I gave up! I mean… You need patrons new and old! So be courteous and let people know the hours.

I had a bacon egg and cheese. Should’ve went double egg instead of single. The bacon was to a perfect crisp! I love how simple the menu is, it’s a quick go to breakfast sandwich place!

Talk about the perfect hangover fix on a weekend morning. Greasy? Cheesy? Savory? Yes, yes, and yes. Get a double egg, double cheese and hash brown on the sandwich and melt into this delicious meal. I was recently there and someone asked for egg whites and they happily obliged — good to know for the days I want to omit a bit of cholesterol. Lost one star because their hours vary without notice — says they are open until 2 but tend to close around noon. A must try when you are looking for a solid egg sammy.

As one of the foremost experts on the modern Egg Sangwich let me just tell you this:

I have but 3 words to describe the experience that is going to Billy D’s and dining on the world class Egg Sammies he makes whence you actually remember what day the place is open:
Eggs, 25 cents, and welcome to the only place that will let you put six eggs on a sandwich without scolding you because your cholesterol is too high and you never put the seat down. I mean, come on, IF I DONT TOUCH THE SEAT RIM AFTER I DONT HAVE TO WASH MY HANDS.
but I digress. You can literally add additional eggs on your sam-​sam for just another quarter. No joke. double cheese? a quarter? A HASHBROWN ON YOUR EGG SANDWICH, JUST A DOLLAR.
So as I order my 6 egg, double cheese, lettuce, onion, tomato, ketchup, AND EFFING HASHBROWN SANDWICH —
(you know what, attractive female staff? I’m a man of moderate means, MAKE IT TWO PLZ)
— TIME. STANDS. STILL. A FLOCK OF BALD EAGLES TAKE WING, A GAGGLE OF TRUMPETERS PURSE THEIR PROUD LIPS PROCLAIMING IN ALL THEIR BRASS BAND GLORY, WHILE LEE GREENWOOD REMINDS US WHY HE IS PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN — but our dear Lee is wrong, Billy D reminds me why I’m proud to be an American.
Because when I actually remember that Billy D’s Fully Belly Deli is only open on Saturday morning and I’m not too hungover to withstand the force of gravity — I can eat myself into an early grave and it won’t even cost me more than 10 bucks.

I have to say, I really like the whole concept of this place. Reminds me of the soup nazi from Seinfeld. I was afraid if I messed up the system I wouldn’t Getty breakfast but the cook was really nice, just quick and efficient. Ordered an egg and cheese on a hard roll. It was very tasty even if it was covered in grease. But then again, I knew what to expect when I walked in the door.

If you want a quick breakfast before or on your way to work, this is the place to go. This place is the best place in Shelton to get a quick, inexpensive breakfast sandwich.
You can smell the bacon and eggs cooking as soon as you walk in the door. The menu has staple breakfast and lunch sandwiches all of which are served on hard rolls. There are fridges of soda and juice along with a few coffee pots for beverages to pair with your sandwich.
The staff here is super friendly and treats you like a regular when you walk in. If you come here often, they will more than likely remember what you usually order. Your order comes out super quick and there are a few seats in the back to eat at. I always take my food home because the heat from the sandwich steams the roll a little bit and makes it easier to take a complete bite.
Billy D’s has to be the one of the most inexpensive places to eat at in Shelton. My order is never above $ 5. They take cash only and there is an ATM inside for your convenience.

Uh oh, looks like I’m the first reviewer that won’t be giving this place a gushing 5-​star review. The good news is this isn’t a negative review in the least, just an honest one to provide a little more perspective.
After reading all the rave reviews, I figured that I had to stop by and try one of their breakfast sandwiches. As mentioned in other reviews, Billy D’s is a small breakfast/​lunch shack that doesn’t look like much from the outside. The inside is very dimly lit which gives the whole place kind of a dingy feel, though it did seem to be kept relatively clean.
The staff was pleasant, and it was obvious that they are extra-​friendly to their regulars. I ordered a ham, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. I declined the optional hot sauce, salt & pepper or ketchup. It was made quickly, and was very inexpensive.
Overall, it was… a slice of ham, an egg and a slice of cheese on a hard roll. It was exactly what was ordered, but nothing that you can’t find at any other «greasy spoon», or even make at home. While the sandwich was good, it certainly wasn’t anything to rave over as the other reviews would have me believe. I think the big selling point here is that the staff is friendly, the food is solid and prepared quickly, and it’s a great value. All of which are great attributes for any business.
Would I go back? Sure, no reason not to. Would I tell other to go there? Sure, why not? Would I drive out of my way to come here? Eh, probably not. So, Billy D’s gets the old A-​OK Unilocal rating of 3 stars in my book. If stupid Unilocal would allow half-​star ratings then 3.5 stars.

Absolutely love this place. They know almost all of their customers and even if they don’t, they treat you like they’ve known you for years. The breakfast sandwiches are amazing and a great nonexpensive way to start your day. Their fridges also have a nice selection of beverages.
If I could come here everyday I would!

Ok the five stars is personal for the rest of the public I’d say 4 and here’s the reason why. This is a down and dirty grease filled goodness coming out of here on the cheap. Not everyone would appreciate that so hence the star.
Prices are incredible more than reasonable for example. I go in and get double egg double meat 3.75. Say what that’s amazing. It’s quick, made to order with typically a cute girl there to help Bill out which is a nice way to start off your day. Because the prices are so reasonable they always get a dollar tip from me which by the are specifically for the girls and hats off to them.
I straight up became addicted to this place and if I didn’t have to move away I’d probably have to have multiple stints implanted in my arteries to keep the passion alive.

Pros: You really only need one word to describe this place: YUM!!! The food is fresh and delicious. Service is quick. I love the quality bread roll that they use for the breakfast sandwiches.

Nothing fancy here, but a GREAT spot for delicious breakfast sandwiches and more! Staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, food was incredible, and I was in and out with a take-​out order in about 5 minutes. Will definitely be back!

Owner and staff are always friendly. Sandwiches are very good, coffee is always hot. The grill is so hot the sandwich is done by the time you pay. Best couple bucks for sandwiches and drinks.

Fast friendly service. And very tasty sandwiches. I like coming in for a quick breakfast on the way to work. Much better then Dunkin Donuts.
