Did you know that Food Lion is a Belgian American company? It’s parent company has been selling groceries since the 1800s. Anyhoo, I think I haven’t given them much respect in the past but all that is going change. This one is pretty laid back. It’s not all frenetic like some grocery stores… maybe it’s the lighting? They run good sales. They have an awesome Latin/Mexican section — ten feet of it are dedicated alone to spices and different dried chiles. More types of chiles than you can imagine. They also carry Virgils Natural Sodas — hip hip hooray! Every time I’m looking for some weird item, I’ll go to four stores and then Food Lion. And of course Food Lion has it. Maybe I should start there first? They also have a solid produce selection with some local stuff available.
