Incredible tailoring, impeccable space. It’s clean, well run, and the work is top notch. You won’t find a better tailor. Worth the drive out to the middle of nowhere :)

I live in Los Angeles, but was in Michigan for a wedding. Of course, I procrastinated and didn’t buy a dress until the day before I left LA. And of course, the only dress I wanted needed to be taken in. It was too late to go to my usual seamstress… was so bummed. I found The Stitch based on a recommendation from a friend. Could not have had a better experience! The girls there were so sweet. Such a quick turnaround and great work. i highly recommend.

I went back for the bridesmaid dress they let the newbie hack up. The straps, neckline, and random pleats they made in the back were fixed. The zipper was sewn back in, but sewn short. As I said the zipper goes down to my butt crack(nice visual, eh?) but when I got the dress back it only goes to my lower back. When you feel where the zipper ends you can feel another 3 inches of zipper. For some reason, tucked in between the inner layer and outer satin of the dress, is the rest of the zipper and they sewed it up. As long as I don’t gain any weight, but maybe shed a pound or two it shouldn’t be a problem. I really thought I was going to accidentally split the dress trying to put it on and pull it up over my hips. It wasn’t a problem before they altered it. :-( I’m very glad they were able to fix the errors in my dress. When it comes down to it I can still only say I recommend this place to alter really easy fixes such as hemming pants. Even then I still wouldn’t recommend this place. Oh yes, and I forgot the final insult to injury. They actually had the audacity to charge me the $ 40 in alterations. They destroyed the dress and only half fixed it. When I wore it to the wedding it was so tight that I chose not to eat dinner at the reception because I know the dress would split along the zipper. Yet, when I went to take the dress and leave they still made me pay for it. Avoid this place at all costs for anything more complicated than hemmed pants.
