If I could give higher than five stars I would. I am totes serious, bros! We have the DTE Home Protection Plus plan for appliance repair and last night(Sunday) we decided to turn our heat on to make sure it was working properly before Winter’s Wrath officially kicked in. Low an behold, the pilot would not light. From researching things online I found what to do and how to fix it and while things looked relatively easy I figured I would cash in on a plan I am paying for each month. We weren’t in any hurry as it is still relatively decent out, but I figured I would call DTE before I got bogged down with other things and forgot. The lady was super helpful and first offered to send Phil’s Services out to which I quickly shut her down on that suggestion. Why? Look for my review on them and see. She sympathized with me and stated that she would leave a message for Precision as they were closed(again it was a Sunday at like 5:30 in the evening) and that someone should be calling me the next day to schedule my appointment. I was perfectly fine with this, thanked her for her help/time and disconnected the call. Roughly 15 minutes later I received a phone call from an unrecognized number which turned out to be a technician from Precision. I was taken aback in a good way as I wasn’t expecting his call for another 24 hours. He informed me that he had an opening in his schedule and asked if he could come by within the next 20 minutes to look things over. He had an idea of what the problem was and thought he could fix it then and there, but if not at least get the part(s) ordered so he could come back later in the week to finish the job. Shortly after he was at my door and looking at my furnace. He found that it was a bad Pilot Burner Assembly and had one on hand to replace it with. Within 10 minutes the part was swapped out and the furnace was pumping out heat once again. Never have I experienced such prompt and courteous customer service before. It was about an hour from the time I called DTE to the time he came and finished replacing the part. I will definitely use this company in the future whether it is on my own or with DTE and be sure to recommend them to anyone I know in the area looking Heating and Cooling work to be done.
