First time here. The food is great but the service is worse than crap! Took over 20 minutes to even place an order, had to go to the bar to get our own soft drink refills. I get that I went in for dinner & not alcohol, but to virtually ignore us, that was unacceptable. I will not be back. EVER.

Horrible service at the bar. The regular customers are taken care of. The bar staff stand around and has casual conversations with the regulars while the new customers wait 10 minutes with a empty glass.

Great people work here, Billy, Rita, Amanda, Nick, Ashley, Cassie among others. But is it really the only Pub east of the Mississippi, that doesn’t have HDTV? I guess so, so sad!

I like this Hamlin pub. Service has always been good at this one, as well as the ohters, excepet for the time the one got slammed wiht a roller derby party and our server was unobtainable, but I understand. i recommend the $ 9.99 Friday and Saturday perch dineer special. It was very good, but I am partial to lake perch.

Went there tonight and last Tuesday for the burger special. Pretty good burger. Good service too. Plan to try them again soon.

They need to clean their bar… been here twice with my wife, sat at the bar both times towards the door. First time smelled like dirty dish rag… 2nd time months later same thing so we left.

Only been here once but was a good overall experience. The food we had was good and u enjoyed the drinks. Can’t complain about anything. The bartender was helpful and easy to talk to. She was also quick with everything.

We have been going to the Pub for the last five years. Every Tuesday is burger and brew with fries for $ 4.99. The service has always been prompt and the food comes out hot. We went in one night late after a concert in Detroit and found live entertainment that was quite loud. Not the place for a quiet late night nite cap. The menu has a good variety and is reasonably priced.

A good Irish pub with a cozy, warm ambiance and a great beer selection. The décor is cool — like the chandeliers, stuff hanging on the walls — and the dim lighting. Very comforting and relaxing — good place for after work. The wait staff is virtually all cute girls and the clientele is laid back suburbanites. Starting 10PM they bring in live music often — and many nights there are $ 2 drink specials(w/options like Captain Morgan’s Rum/Coke, Canadian Club Whiskey/Coke, Smirnoff Vodka/Sprite, etc.) This is a good place for drinks, conversation, laughter and good times with a group of friends). It can get a bit loud when the live music — but there’s plenty of seating away from the music. The food options are above average for being a bar and there’s some unique options like sausage trio(German bratwurst w/sauerkraut, Italian sausage w/grilled veggies, and Polish Sausage with mashed red skins). That dish and the buffalo chicken tenders are my favorite bar foods here. Anyways, give this spot a shot. My only gripe is that some of the staff can be snappy and brief — but most of them are sweet! Also — there are many pubs like this in the area that are basically just as good as this place(such as Dooley’s Tavern, O’Toole’s, etc.). So this place is good, but nothing out of the ordinary!

There are several Hamlin Pub locations but I’ve personally only been to the one on 22 and Hayes. It’s pretty big pub with a great bar menu for drinks and food — all affordable prices. I’m not sure if this is every night or not but after 10pm they have $ 2 drink specials on basic drinks like vodka/sprite, captain/coke, etc.(at least on Wed. nights for sure). Their food menu is pretty hearty too with really good soups to choose from and a little more european style options like their sausage trio platter, reuben sliders, and guiness beef stew(who’da thunk it?) I like that the crowd is a little more mature 25 – 50 and the place is generally pretty clean — not sticky and grimy like most pubs. They also have a live band/singer on some nights… definitely worth a gander!
