So not a fan. The staff is extremely friendly but that’s about all they have going for them. They mixed up my and my boyfriends orders, took them back to the kitchen and came out with them still not right. They charge you a 1.50 for a basket of chips and .75 cents for guacamole and sour cream(that the menu said or meals came with). Food wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t good. Greasy and not very flavorful. Mexican food is my favorite and I wanted to love this place since it’s so close to my house but unfortunately we were not impressed at all. Dinner for two cost over $ 40.00. We had a mediocre cheese dip, two dinners and one beer. We definitely will not be returning.

Went here the other night and it was ok. Not exactly something I’ll be craving or looking forward to later. For a place that calls itself a margarita bar, the margaritas were terrible. Couldn’t tell if there was any alcohol in them because there was so much sweet and sour mix in them. We told the bartender about it and she gave us another shot to pour in it, which we all got charged for. I ordered the fish tacos, which were ok. No one got to-go boxes for their food either. Nothing really stood out to make anyone want to go back again.

It was just alright. We got the nachos to start and the famed California burrito. I personally was not a fan of the burrito at all and don’t get the hype. The service was good and the food came out very quickly, on a positive note.

I have been enjoying there 4.99 lunch specials at least 3 times a month. The good is PLENTY! You get a large basket of chips and 2 different dips, and your meal which is very filling. Each time I have went the staff was very friendly and my food came quick. Until things change I will be a customer forever!

My husband and I thought we would try Azteca out for dinner. I am happy we did! The food was delicious and the waitress was great! She was very friendly and attentive. I brought home left overs and my daughter ate them up! I will definitely be going back!

I’ve been eating here for years. I used to get spoiled with authentic Mexican food from La Mexicana Tres in Pontiac and so when I had to move all the way on this side of town, I longed for a suitable replacement. Azteca’s is a little family owned place and they treat you like you’re part of it; everyone is incredibly nice. The food is phenomenal and the green salsa is the best I’ve ever had. Lots of people rant about the California Burrito, and that’s the specialty they push, but in my never-humble opinion I think the tacos are the best thing on the menu. Simple, fresh cantina tacos… dump a bunch of the green salsa on em and you might as well kiss any restraint you thought you had goodbye. And for $ 1 apiece on Tuesdays you can go wrong. I love this place and these people.

Unsure why they have so many stars. Wasn’t bad but wasn’t great. Just a run of the mill Mexican place. I also knocked off an extra star because they didn’t have black beans. I’m being super picky I know.

Ordered the Enchilada dinner and it was pretty good. The workers were really polite and inviting despite the downpour outside. I’ve heard great things about this place and I’ll definitely be back to try the puffy tacos, tres leche cake and nachos!

I went here for my birthday a couple weeks ago with my family. Every time another person in my party would arrive, the owner/cook would come out to talk about his specials of the night. Between the 8 of us, we ordered all 3 specials and everything was delicious. My aunt and I got the shrimp burrito with a side of sauteed vegetables. My boyfriend, dad and uncle got the habanero steak fajita. They all loved that. My mother got the pollo relleno. She said that was really good. I will definitely be going back. My aunt, uncle and grandfather all got their margaritas and they loved them.

Not something I would have ever ordered, but I asked what the most popular item on the menu was and this was i — the California Burrito. Carne Asada, pico de gallo, guacamole, cilantro, and… French fries. Again, not something typical for me, but it was delicious. the portion was extremely generous and I was able to give some to both of the people of was with. We ordered a sopapilla for dessert and it was more than enough for the three of us to share. My friends both had margaritas and the loved them. Their dishes were also very, very tasty(my friend is still talking about the puffy taco). Do yourself a favor and go!

Having lived in LA for most of my life, I thought I’d never find good Mexican food in Michigan, I was wrong. This place has some real Mexican food. Margaritas here remind me of Los Cabos. I come to find out this is a family owned business ran by real Mexicans from Mexico City. Doesn’t get more authentic than that. Great food, prices and service. Every time I come to this place(like once a week) it will remind me of LA!

Don’t confuse this place with the chain it will be your downfall to horrible food!!! Azteca’s Margarita Bar and Grill is by far my favorite place to go! The owners treat you like family and the food is made fresh daily. Haven’t found one thing on the menu that I didn’t like. Did I mention the full bar? How about the El Ray Challenge that features a 7lb burrito? Now I wait patiently and eagerly for my California Burrito.

In my personal opinion, the best Mexican place in the area that I have tried. They are medium sized at the end of a plaza. We usually do takeout from here because toddler. It’s so much more relaxing to let your child rip apart 8 oz of tasty guacamole from the comfort of the bathtub. Whole my son demolishes guacamole, I am either eating the Mexican style tacos, a chimichunga or nachos. Everything I’ve had there has been yummy and fresh. I like the salsa the best. They have a big salsa selection, but I like the hot and the verde the best.

Really enjoyed the nachos with beef. It was a teensy bit salty, but they were delicious. I liked how they diced the green peppers, onions and tomatoes. Peach lemonade was just okay, but I’d definitely would return.

We just moved to Michigan and have struggled to find good mexican food up here. We were starting to think Taco Bell might be the best we could find but a friend advised us to try Azteca’s. Food and drinks were amazing! It’s a family ran business. The owner is the head chef and comes out to each table to ask how their meals were. Great place, great atmosphere, definitely going back.

I’ve eaten here a few times and I’ve never left disappointed. I just tried the grilled steak chimichanga, I would most definitely get that again. The California burrito was amazing the first time I tried it, but you have to come with your appetite it is huge but full of goodness. The cheese deep is a little too much for me, but I did enjoy the bean soup. I have only tried this location in Michigan and have yet to go to another, but I’m sure I will soon.

They really have great food — their biggest problem is they can be painfully slow some nights. Our last time took almost 2 hours. I hope that does not continue. Things to go for: — chips and salsa are fresh and good tasting — guacamole is very good — several good soups(Tortilla soup especially) — Fish tacos are so good — good fajitas
