New York Institute of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

This is a great dental office. I was in need of removing my wisdom teeth. After a minor mix up with appointment date (my fault) they were nice enough to see me anyways. Doctor recommended the removal of all 4 at once under Anastasia. They kept me well informed and made follow up calls. They were very nice and helpful. The extraction date arrived. I felt, I was in good hands and all went well in surgery. The doctor and his staff were very nice and knowledgeable. Now I’m recovering. And I’m am very happy I went with this office. Great experience! Thanks

Worst Dental office experience I ever had. I was scheduled for a 9:15am appointment to have 2 teeth extracted. Due to train delays, I was running late, and at 9:17am I called the office to let them know I was running late. I was greeted by a pleasant recetion, and told not to worry and to still come.
When I got there I was taken in immediately and given an xray. I believe my biggest mistake was pointing out to the doctor that i was ½ hr late due to train delays ad that i apologized. The doctor took on a different posture throughout the rest of our exchange.
I was then seated in the prepped in the procedure chair where the doctor reviewed my case, and the assistant placed a bit on my an told me they would be back in a moment to initiate local anesthesia.
An hour and a half later no one still returned to my room. I had a pressing medical issue that I needed to address on the phone… so I conducted the all in the room while waiting for the doctor. All of a sudden the assistant returned only to tell me that the doctor insisted that all phone calls be taken outside the office.
I steppe out for ten minutes since the doctor still did not appear, and upon returning and asking when I would be seen, I was told… now I had to wait for yet another patient to go before me. So on top of the hour and a half I had already waited and still had not even been administered anesthesia for my extrations. now I was told I had to wait about another hour.
This was a nightmare and at 11:40am I left with nothing accomplished. The infected teeth are still in my mouth… and the doctor was more concerned with retribution rather than patient care.
