I try to frequent local businesses because I want my money to stay in the community & they know the best pants for the region.
Gindhart nursery is one of the best local nurseries I have been to. They are family run & it is easy to see how much care they give. The plants are healthy and even this early in the season they have a good supply of shrubs.
I have been on the hunt for an «Oklahoma» Redbud for quite a while. I want this specific brand to remind me of home (I moved to Oregon 3 years ago). No one has had this variety of redbud and the only answer I have been getting are «we don’t carry it». No one has been willing to try & order this for me, even though I have asked many times.
This small family run nursery not only offered (offerrd before I asked) to see if they could find one for me, but they called me at 7 pm on a Saturday night to follow up and let me know that they think can get one for me.
THIS is how you create loyal customers. And I plan on continuing to be a very loyal patron of this nursery for many years to come!.

I have been going to this family run nursery for well over a decade and have loved every visit! The plants are quite healthy and bursting out of their pots! Labelling is very minimal (minus one star) but you can find great stuff if you either know what you’re looking for or aren’t afraid to ask. This place is my biggest plant secret in the Corvallis area, as their prices are phenomenal. Love the begonia selection, too! Don’t let the fact that they are ~9 miles down Peoria road scare you, it’s well worth the drive. They take cash or check,
