Not one of my favorite places. Lacks cleanliness, not very comfortable, since the arm rests can’t be moved. Their prices are pretty high even though the quality is not up there. I would recommend going to the Cinemark on Johnson drive && Antioch.

This place is disgusting! I sat down in my seat to watch a movie, to my surprise the seat was covered in fresh VOMIT!!! If anyone was doing their job at cleaning this shit hole establishment they could see the entire seat was covered in puke! I will never go to this theater again and will talk anyone I know out of going to this dump! Get your shit together management!!! I wish I could give a negative star rating bc this place isn’t even deserving of a one star rating.

I like it because it’s not crowded all the time. The location is convenient and the workers are very cordial and helpful. I don’t like the huge complexes if I decide to take an afternoon off from work.

Very sketchy theatre, that smells funny… The prices are just as expensive as AMC. Only reason I like this place is because they show movies for longer time spans. I usually only come here when they are the only place showing a certain movie.

This theatre was sold and now is the B& B Shawnee Theatre. It hasn’t been updated ever, I don’t think. Looks like the bathroom stall doors were spray painted black. Sinks and faucets look like the originals. The seats in the theatre are not comfortable like AMC and the arm rests make cracking noises when you use them like they will break. Uncomfortable. Would rather drive to Olathe or Leawood than come here again, even though it’s a 8 minute drive from my home.

TERRIBLE! Will never go there again… Very outdated, and some seats are falling apart. We waited nearly 20 minutes for them to stop the movie because the picture wasn’t showing, but the audio was running. The people in the theater were also obnoxious, and rude throughout the entire movie, which made the whole experience even worse. I know that is not the establishment’s fault… Overall just not a good place to go to the movies. I will be sticking with my AMC theaters, thank you very much.

No moveable armrests. Boo! I didn’t like this location at all. It is much more than Cinemark & farther from my house. I only picked this location because the movie I wanted to see started an hour earlier. The seats were so uncomfortable! The armrests have a scratchy border around them, which hurts your arms. Since you can’t move them, I tried sticking my arms down by my side, but there is something scratchy there too. I ended up putting napkins on the armrests to keep them from hurting my arms. I was going to get a bottle of water, but it was almost $ 5. I just don’t understand that. Next time I’ll just sneak some in… oh wait, there won’t be a next time.

It is hard to beat a $ 7.00 movie. When the fiancé and I can actually watch a movie for less than the cost of just buying the DVD, I am a big fan. This theater is definitely dated. Even when we pulled into the lot, I was skeptical that it wasn’t just an abandoned building where people park for the bus. However, $ 7? I’m in.(FYI, it was a 1:30 pm Saturday show). We also were able to get the large popcorn and large soda(1 refill max for each included) and it only came to $ 12.75. so I think that is a tad cheaper than AMC as well. The theater itself was decent. I felt like we were sitting really far from the screen, even when we were in the first half of the seats. They also don’t have stairs, so the seats are all on one incline. I did feel like I was annoying because I move around a lot(cross my legs, legs under me, legs crossed the other way, legs not crossed, legs up on the seat) and my chair kept squeaking. but since it was a kids movie and there were a few kids talking here and there I wasn’t too concerned. The bathrooms were in really poor condition, but had the necessities. I will probably return if I want to see another movie on the cheap, but I would not recommend this theater if you are looking to see the movie for its special effects and graphics. The screen was pretty dated and really hard to see/read before the lights went out, and we felt pretty far. It doesn’t really«immerse» you in the movie.

I used to go to this place all the time when I was a kid. Now I hate going here, tickets are way overpriced and the theater is outdated. I’ve been to several movies that have had audio or video problems. Almost all the seats are uncomfortable because of how worn they are. I would love to see this place be remodeled because the location is really convenient.

Looks a little dated & worn, but clean & comfortable seats. Decent selection of first-run movies, prices at concessions are in line for the area. Mirable visu, the sound wasn’t cranked up to eleven!

Holy cow I have not been here in forever. This used to be the place to go see a movie if you lived west of I-35. In it’s time it was state of the art and everyone thought the seating was fantastic because the theaters have a small balcony seating area. Well, it’s not really a balcony, but it’s elevated. Just went here the other day to see a movie and the sound quality is still good. The seating is comfortable, but you can tell that the seats are old and worn. You will never have a sold out crowd and since the layout is old school, there really isn’t a bad seat in the house. Lot’s of good memories here.

This is the closest movie theater to our house, so we usually go here when we see a movie. It’s not one of the big box theaters like AMC, so it won’t have the high ticket items like Fork and Screen(dinner, adult beverages, etc) but it’s a great place to catch a movie. Prices seem on par for the area, the theater is always clean and well kept and has a decent concessions stand. Seating is good, stadium style in the top half and plenty of room to relax and enjoy the movie. There is a great selection of restaurants right outside the theater including Mexican, Italian, a specialty brewpub and fast food. Across Interstate 435 is a high end steak restaurant.
