Prairie Point Fabrics & Quilting Supplies

This store has moved and has completely transformed. On the last quilt shop hop, I spent the most time and money here, with loads of fresh new fabrics and ideas!

I love to visit quilting stores when I am on vacation so I was super excited to have two within four miles of each other, what a happy quilting moment.
All that excitement just dissipated once I came through the doors. The vibe sure wasn’t helped by the clerks talking about how they couldn’t wait to get off work and how could they make it to 5:00. I have never heard clerks talk like that in a quilt store and I have been to them all over the country!
Maybe that vibe affected my mood but I didn’t buy a single thing. My husband about fell over, I have never done that.
For me, this was a kindof tired store without much pizazz. I have nothing against traditional fabrics, I have lots of them and I have made many traditional quilts. But shouldn’t there be a variety? Some modern pops to delight you?
Sorry Prairie Points if this spend-​happy quilter bought nothing then something needs to change. Start with asking the clerks not to moan and complain while sitting on chairs at the front of the store.
