Hampton Inn Shawnee

This was one of the hotels my husband and I stayed at while moving out west. In a rush to get out of Oklahoma before a storm hit, I forgot my wedding band. I called the hotel who was extremely helpful. They located my ring and mailed it via fedex to me. I can not say how grateful I am to the amazing staff that works at this hotel. I will definitely stay within the Hampton Inn family in the future.

The room itself was great, very clean and spacious. I also loved the fact that when you walk in the front door the aroma of the cookies waiting for the guests to arrive will get your mouth salivating early on. The only downside that I could see was the staff. Early on in my arrival, the desk staff was short with us. We booked this room based on the fact that they had a pool as our son loves swimming. upon arrival we discovered it was closed for painting. when I asked them about this, her response, rather smart mouthed and smirking, was «this has been our website for 2 weeks». Well thats fine except I booked my room at least 3 weeks ago. I understand this happens and that is not what upset me it was her attitude. Then trying to get on the elevator with our stuff another worker was getting off it. She said excuse me to us as she was trying to get off. My son who is special needs moves at a snails place and didn’t move fast enough for her. she said excuse me again and instead of waiting for us to help to get him move out of her way or go the other way to accommodate her guests she says EXCUSE ME! again. I then told my son to move out of her way and then she said «that’s fine as she pushed past him». a true employee would have waited for us to get out of her way as we are paying guests. I guess she was in too much of a hurry to be bothered with being polite.

This place is horrible. The photos they posted of the place must be old. The first room they put me in smelled so bad so the moved me to another which was okay. I would not recommend staying here.

I travel to Shawnee several time this year and this is the best place to stay. The staff is very nice and helpful, all areas of the hotel are clean and neat. I feel very comfortable staying here and will continue coming back.

The staff is extremely friendly, the rooms are clean and I have absolutely no complaints. They listened to our needs and addressed them every single time. Janet especially was amazing how sweet she was!

Clean friendly and pretty cheap for a Hampton. The exercise room is cardio only, which is not my thing, and among Hamptons this one is on the Spartan side, but overall a fine stay.

Super clean, new and THE BEST friendliest staff ever! So helpful and nice. Plus they have a waffle maker with breakfast! Great experience.

Stayed here when I went to Oklahoma for my brothers graduation.
5 Stars for:
1) the BEST continental breakfast I have ever had! Warm eggs, fresh fruit, fresh cold milk, yogurt, oatmeal, juices and good service.
2) the WHITE bed sheets and pillow sheets. Love it because they are white and all stains would be very easily seen quickly.
3) marble bathroom counter my brother described it as, «it’s like a rich persons bathroom!»
4) friendly /​young front desk people
5) the cheapest of the expensive hotels. This is 4 star hotel quality at 3 star price!
