Barley’s Brewhaus

Stopped in for a quick lunch today. I came in after the lunch hour so, everything was pretty quiet and the food came out quickly. A little disappointed in my spinach artichoke dip. Not only was it cold, the serving was extremely small for a $ 9 app and it seemed like they topped it off with provolone cheese at the last minute. I also ordered a turkey burger which was surprisingly flavorful and juicy. The patty was shaped perfectly so, it’s very hard to believe it was handmade. Overall, the food was okay. Nothing to rush back to and tell all of my friends about which is a little disappointing. I’ve had a great brunch at their other location in Overland Park.

Sign says open tell 12:00 on Sunday. But it fails to say kitchen closes at 10:00. Not meet friendly when you walk in. The first thing you see is all the employees sitting at bar. When I walked up to bar they all looked at there watch. I showed up at 11:35 when they don’t close tell 12:00.

This place is great for lunch or dinner. They have a nice covered outdoor patio and a huge selection of beers. Also they have half priced appetizers till 6.

3.5 stars for good service, great selection of beer and good food. We went for restaurant week and got the bacon and grits, pork rinds, and the mac and cheese croquettes for an appetizer. They were pretty original but the taste was average. The Mac and cheese croquettes are a must try though. For the entrees we had the white bean and sausage pasta which was very heavy but had great flavor. The pork 3 ways was saltier than I expected and I didn’t care for it much.

First time here. Absolutely delicious and surprising for a bar/​grill. I had the 7-​hour slow roasted pork, grilled asparagus and subbed the risotto for low carb whipped cauliflower. Amazing. My son had the kids pepperoni pizza and he said it was the best pizza ever. My husband got the don corleone flatbread and it was huge. Very tasty. Next time will try new things. Will definitely return.

Love the beer flights, and the food isn’t bad either. The location on Midland is probably my preference ~ love their outdoor space. The wait staff is typically nice, attentive and great at making suggestions. The facility is clean, though for me a bit dark (why I enjoy sitting outdoors when I can). I’ve only had one dish that I thought wouldn’t be worth a second try were poutine fries, which seem to now be off the menu so I’m guessing others were of the same opinion.

Bland food, mediocre service Beer special Saturday $ 2.50 cans, but they don’t have most of what they say they carry. I’d come back if and when they change their menu.

Deep dish Pizza is surprisingly one of the best in town definitely a cool place to chill if you’re around the area (I had pizza man Minsky’s several other places this is the best)…I normally don’t post reviews but when I do its really good or really bad…

Service has gone down hill, food is good but not great. They don’t have enough beer menus to go around which is pretty dumb. Pass on this spot

Excellent beer selection! Bartender knows his brews! Spinach artichoke dip is excellent. Great menu selection. Nice spot to chill, especially after riding from Mitchell, SD and dancing with the rain until Sioux City. What a great spot!

Great apps for a good price. Needles to say they have a superior selection of beer. Its always a good feeling when someone asks for a miller and the bar tender says they don’t have it. Ha. Spread your wings people.

We really enjoyed this place. We started the day at SMP doing a little fishing, so by 1:30ish we were ready for a good meal and some beers… and this place delivered both.
I got the trout and it was spot on in my opinion, as well as the risotto it came with… might have been a liiiiiiitle salty but I ate every drop of it. The beer selection there is impressive, especially on tap.
Friendly staff that were very quick to re-​fill beers and waters.
Over all — it was a great experience, will definitely be back for lunch. Might try a dinner there one night as well.

Little pricy but good food awesome quesadilla baked potato was okay wish they had topped it like the potato skins beer selection was very long but service can make or break it got the drink orders then. Disappeared for a bit came back with drinks and apps that the others at our table had ordered before getting dinner drinks were half gone by the time food arrive had to send mine back 1 thing no bacon couldnt manage that and finally had to flag the waitress down to get a second beer if i came back it would be for a to go order

Like the menu & they cellar special kegs to surprise you later. Wish they updated their tap list so we know when our fav beers are in or if the keg blew hours ago. Just finished driving from Colorado to try microbrews there & track bottles of one of our favorites. On the way back, learned that one was here on tap. After all day in the car we learned that they actually blew the keg two days ago. What really figures is they also ran out of a keg of that beer we went in search of in Colorado. Oh well. I’ll wait here for the next one.

Awesome brew selection and good food. Bar tender with a big beard and bald head is a dick but that’s the only drawback.

Let me start off by saying: no. The food here was less than. Our micro plate consisted of haus-​made meatballs, salt roasted poached beets, and smoked trout + pears.
The trout was no home run. The meatballs were good but the beets were probably one of the more detestable items I’ve had. Rarely do I use the word gross but these were exactly that. Ironically enough, beets are one of my favorite veggies so this was unfortunate experience. The Thai Won On flatbread wasn’t much better. Way overly salty and far too much peanut sauce drizzle to the point where that’s all you can taste. It surprised us in size but not in palate.
After a while we started feeling a little queasy because there was such an overpowering bleach smell when they were cleaning up a few tables across from us. I was glad to see they took a bit more care when cleaning and actually moved booths to get everything underneath. Our server was in training and a total sweetheart on the other hand. She really made the overall service pleasant.

It was obviously busy tonight are they just use their parking lot for storage. A «25 minute» wait was 32 and some seconds but who’s counting… Our waitress took sometime to get our drink order but remember they were busy. I had a green tea IPA which I don’t recommend nor did I finish but still had to pay for it. The manager in duty literally meet every surrounding table around use except for ours especially when she noticed us sitting with menus long enough to get our appetizer delivered before taking actual order for dinner. We were personally not pleased with service and had asked three times to get water. I had the quiche with goat cheese and spinach and it was the best thing so far and the miss s had the turkey burger with sweet potato fries and didn’t finish it. Well this will be our first and last time here and as they say «you can’t win them all».

This restaurant/​bar is lovely! Tons of space, high ceilings, a lot of large tables for big groups (especially for watching games!) live acoustic music, good food, friendly wait staff, and it looks like there is a private area upstairs where you could have an event. I would definitely come back.

This place is truly a hidden gem. Great food, excellent bar and wait staff, incredible beer selection and even impressive deserts in a friendly open environment. I will be back!

I’ve been to Barley’s several times for dinner or late night drinks, but this time decide to try out brunch. Love it! Only offered on Saturdays and Sundays. Would definitely recommend the biscuits and gravy… Probably the best I’ve ever tried.
