The Falls is a solid 3 stars. Went for dinner with the family. Kids were happy enough with the kid fare. Alfredo pasta was ok. Chili was ok too. Chicken vegetable soup was surprisingly good. In fairness, none of our party ordered a burger or any of the steaks. Service was average. There are not a lot of options at Shaver and the Falls is a reasonable one.

Very good place for breakfast! We enjoyed a nice breakfast as we sat by the fire. I was a little unsure, but decided to try the pot roast omelette. It was great and a delicious change to the regular choices of omelettes. The pot roast was tender and the breakfast gravy was tasty. I had country potatoes for my side, they were crispy & had good flavor. My wife had the French toast and enjoyed her breakfast. Our service was great and they were always checking on us. We will definitely come back again!

Had dinner at The Falls Restaurant in Shaver Lake tonight. It was very good! The inside has been updated and it looks great and is very comfy. They have a bar, and a fireplace in the dining room! Major plus!!! The burgers and house made chili were amazing! Looking forward to our next trip so we can dine here again! Staff very nice also and great music playing softly in the background. Thank you for a great dinner!

Food was decent but service was sub par. Both waitresses seemed in over their heads with about 5 tables together. One kept repeating how tired she was. We had to ask multiple times for water and a box.

Best breakfast in town. Not totally awesome but for shaver lake it was pretty good. We ate here twice during the week stay. I had 2 scrambled eggs, bacon and hash browns both times. Pretty decent food. Once with biscuits and gravy which was ok and the second time with sourdough toast. I would eat here next time for sure. The service was very good and we were seated right away.

Shelly is really good at what she does, and so is Karen who saved the place. I came in for breakfast and it was perfect for what I expected. Support this place they deserve it.

What a fun place to come and get breakfast! Renee was friendly and fun and took great care of us. I had the pot roast omelet with gravy and my wife had the veggie omelet. The pot roast was super tender and everything had great flavor. Next time we are in Shaver Lake we will be coming here for breakfast!

The staff is always friendly and they serve killer clam chowder in Friday’s! It feels like you are sitting down with old friends…

I do not understand what exactly causes people to rate The Falls so low. It’s a great restaurant and I eat there regularly as my cabin is roughly 3 miles away. If you hit them on the right day they’ll have Clam Chowder. Best clam chowder I’ve had in the state of California, it had freaking LOBSTER in it. The Falls is absolutely worth checking out.

I give this place a ½ star just because they serve food. It was a bad experience eating here, horrible service horrible food. AVOIDTHISPLACEIFYOUCAN.

I would give this place less than one star if possible. The burgers are pre-made, pre-cooked and completely tasteless. A fast food burger would be better. My kids had a cheese quesadilla and it was really made. The tortilla was not properly grilled to make it crispy. Overall a very poor experience.

I apologize to the wonderful women of this restaurant for how long this has taken me to write. I promised I would get this up, so I am doing it now! Better late than never, right?! This place was so incredible from top to bottom I can’t even describe. The service was friendly, expert and efficient. The food was absolutely incredible, everything was so fresh and savory. Breakfast done right, cooked perfectly. The Native American art compliments the place beautifully, the servers are wonderful women that are incredibly accommodating, the freshly made salsa that was offered, a generous sample(samples actually) for no charge, was unbelievable and my jalapeño and cheese omelet was so perfectly balance and actually SPICY enough for a pepper babe like myself! My friend and I kept mentioning how incredible the entire place was and if we could repay the favor, they didn’t even ask for this but said that they get some negative reviews, so I told them I was 100% going to Unilocal about this place, so here I am. Everyone has an individual experience, but I feel like if you’re one of the people who wrote a mean review, you’re just not that happy of a person, and everything is upsetting to you, because this place is filled with love, and damned good food. *Bonus* — Very clean bathrooms that smell nice! It’s important! Affordable and gorgeous in the beautiful hideaway that is Shaver. With love, Terra(and Tyler) from the counter!

Best place for breakfast in town. Not sure why others are slamming them so hard but our experience was nothing but positive. Han steak was epic. Pancakes fantastic. Omelet was perfectly cooked. And service was great!

Best diner to eat at Shaver Lake. The menu consists of a variety of home made cuisine from soup to pies. The servers are super friendly and knowledgeable about the recreation areas. Prices are reasonable and the food us delicious. If you are in Shaver Lake area I’d recommend having a leisurely lunch here.

Had the Ham and Cheese omlette, real real good. Huge chunks of ham, the real deal. Like Christmas — day ham. Coffee was bomb and strong. Ladies working were friendly and attentive. Struck up conversations, things that should always happen but usually don’t. My dad worked here in the 70 ’ s when it was Angelo’s so it’s good to see them still doin right in the same location 40 years later. The bar in a Hawaiian shirt, only way to rock Falls. Thanks!

Been coming here for breakfast for years when we came up to shaver. It became a staple. A few years back, after bringing family up and talking about how wonderful this place is, we took them all here and were so saddened, disappointed, and embarrassed as the it had gone WAY down hill! The food was tasteless at best! Fast forward about 3 years — we gave it another try this morning. Mainly because the other only breakfast place(blue sky something or other) was rude and COMPLETLY inattentive upon walking in. We walked out after 5 min of standing). Upon arrival here, we were greeted with a smile and sat immediately. Our server was friendly and treated us like family. The food has improved. It was very obvious they had made changes since the last time. We WILL be back, and we WILL convince our family to give it another try.

Waited 20 min to be seated. Was told they would get a table ready for the two of us. Hostess or whoever the young blond was cleaned a table(4 top). Right next to an empty 4 top. WTH. Looking around I noticed two other 4 tops open and already set up. Again, WTH? Young blond began setting up the table, knee on the chair, looking over at us, and proceeded to slow down and p l a c i n g. O n e p i e c e. O f S i l v e r w a r e down at a time, while looking me in the eye. There were no other customers in front or behind us. So why did it take 20 min to get seated? Can’t comment on the food or prices, we left and won’t be back. Too bad it used to be a pretty good place to eat.

We drove in from Mono Hot Springs after camping for four days, needed coffee STAT and breakfast. Our waitress, Nessa, was quick with her service and smiling despite it appearing to be a really busy Sunday. The coffee was fresh and strong and the eggs, etc. we had were good. I will be coming back on my next trip. p. s. the bathroom was spotless, too.
