Driving up to the place, I had no idea it was a winery. It looked more like a small shack attached to a larger shack. But once I walked inside, I was pleasantly surprised to find an adorable country winery! They make predominantly fruit wines, as in blueberries, raspberry, apple, nectarine, plum and more. It’s truly fruit wine… not grape wine with fruit flavoring added which makes all the difference in the world! I am not a fruit wine woman normally(I tend to prefer heavy, dry reds), but because these were true fruit wines, they were astounding in their clarity! It was the essence of the fruit in a bottle. Tons of nuances and little pops and lingering finishes… more please! My favorites were the Peach, Blackberry, and Shiro Plum Wine which amazed me with its complexity of floral notes, plummy lightness, and silky smooth mouthfeel. It was like the better version of a Gewurtztraminer. No fake fruit, syrups, or concentrate here! They also have homemade wine jellies as well as a produce stand outside. What a find!
