We loved our stay at Three Maples! Great location. It’s in the country but close to Peterborough, Keene, etc. Linda and David are wonderful hosts. The room was great(we stayed in the Neale Room) and the breakfast was awesome! Whole wheat pancakes with homemade syrup and bacon. Doesn’t get much better than that!

Can I give this place six stars? We were greeted with a warm welcome and introduced to the cat. The décor is amazing — eclectic, interesting, sophisticated but not at all stuffy. The place is spotless, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, the price was reasonable. We took a walk up the dirt road behind the house; there were lovely babbling rills and hundreds of lady slippers. For a short while on the hike we were accompanied by the friendliest big fluffy dog. The whole experience was priceless. This place is nothing short of amazing.

Just spent the w/e at Three Maples, a great experience! Room was small and simple but adequate with a good mattress(we stayed in the room with the bathroom along the hall which has a jetted bathtub). Breakfast was superb, much better than one might expect from a place like this: cooked fruit with roasted pecans, frittata and homemade scones along with french-press coffee. They also have a very comfortable living room open to guests. We took two long walks(2.5 — 3hours) right from the B&B and encountered few others en route(admittedly it’s winter). Good for a quiet romantic retreat or launchpad for nearby sights.

I cannot rave enought about Linda and David from Three Maples. They are lovely… don’t belive it… visit my blog for my raves. If you like friendly people(and a cat named Molly), a warm cozy 1790’s era home with roaring fireplaces, and delicious breakfasts, and the back yard is the New England Forestry Foundation… Three Maples is it… if that’s not you’re thing, I feel sorry for you.

Nice place if you are looking to get away from it all. Quiet, peaceful, shhhhhhhh — my husband made me open my bag of chips in the car before going in — that’s how quiet it was. No TV, but if you HAVE to have contact with the outside world, they do have free wireless. The owners were the best! Breakfast was super! Too bad we only stayed for one night.

This is a lovely little b&b near some great hiking and cross-country skiing. There are three rooms available, and though it has the numerous tchotchkes typical of new england b&b’s, it is super clean. No dust, no musty smells, just a faint whiff of clean laundry. We stayed in one with a sauna — just the thing for an evening when the temps dipped into negative numbers. The original part of the house is from 1709 — there are huge hewn beams in the ceiling. And it is warm! There are extra heaters in the rooms and it got very toasty. The owners are very nice — friendly and welcoming, but not at all pushy.
