I just want to start off by saying how can they have bad reviews? This place is amazing and it needs the credit it deserves! Too bad I’m not tech Savvy or I would have reviewed this place a long time ago! If you really care about what this place is really about from a long time customer of the Original Sharon House of PIzza, please READ: I have been going to this place for almost 35 years. I frequently travel across the United States, yet I have still managed to come here almost every week for dinner with my family as my favorite pizza place nothing can really compare. We started this as a trend way back in the early 90’s, when it was Sharon House of Pizza. This place is in my kids, my family’s lives and I need to share why. Everyone is so friendly here and a family welcoming environment. They have recently LOWERED their prices which is a pleasant surprise, even though the food is well worth any price to me, for their PORTIONS have always been HUGE and that is what matters. Can you tell I love to eat ;) We have always had great experiences and they always smile and say/bye to me and remember my order :) but I recently started to try something new every time because EVERYTHING is DELICIOUS! Another recent change is that a lot of their items are homemade. For example, all the soups are made with SPRINGWATER! Their sliced TURKEY and ROASTBEEF is HOMEMADE and roasted. BURGERS and MEATBALLS Are HOMEMADE. HE even gives you the option to have a GRASSFEDBURGER! Homemade LASAGNA. Even the Water in the pizza dough is spring water! I recently had a nice chat with the owner about water and how bad most tap water is in Sharon, in almost any town if you actually test it, filled with nasty chemicals, which I was surprised because a lot of people don’t know that and he went so far as to help other people be more healthy and use Spring water! That is actually my field of expertise so Kudos to the owner of Pizzigando! He is a hard working man who cares about his customers. The owner also told me that his Marinara and Pizza Sauce is a secret recipe from his great ancestors dating back over 100 years. He wouldn’t give it to me though but he gave me some extra on the side because I love it! ;) I bet not many people knew that about the sauce and why it tastes so good! Some new pizzas that we tried and are so delicious! Like their margherita pizza for example is the most AUTHENTICREAL Margherita pizza you will find without actually going to italy. The Owner actually roasts the garlic in the oven to make this special spread with olive oil and then tops it with fresh tomatoes REAL fresh mozzerella balls and finally after it is cooked, FRESHUSDAORGANICBASILANDUSDAORGANICPEPPER. bet you didn’t know that, but I have many talks with the owner and I just had to share because he needs to advertise this!!! This place is under rated. HEEVENTOLDMETHEPICKLESAREHOMEMADE! They ALSO offer GLUTENFREE pizza and they added more items to their menu like this amazing sandwiches you MUSTTRYAREALLHOMEMADE: Carribean Sandwich is delicious FRESH pineapples and chicken on a BRIOCHE roll amazing. 2. Turkey Gobbler Sandwich with amazing stuffing and homemade cranberry mayo 3. ROASTBEEFMELTISTODIEFORAND100% 4. PASTRAMIREUBENMELT They also have these really authentic drinks! Includes USDA organic drinks if you prefer. I wish I could list everything but I hope I got the point across that this place is a MUSTTRY its so good! and I can’t forget the HOMEMADEBAKLAVA! I also want to add this place is very spacious and they recently Renovated their dining room with a big new TV and really comfortable booths, and even patio tables outside to sit and enjoy the fresh air! This place is on my top list in next to Gino’s Steaks in Philadelphia! But honestly, nothing compares really, for We grew up with Pizzigando as our family place, you know that place all your kids just scream out excitedly when you decide its going to be a take out night, ‘we want PIZZAGANDO tonight!’ as my kids called it!

Let me start by saying we found this local place by using Google maps it was only a couple minutes from the high school. We got in and were undecided so my gf let me choose what we got and I looked over the specialty pizza and chose the roasted chicken & garlic pizza! When it came out I noticed a lot of oil and garlic in the middle of the pizza and stuck my finger in and tasted it. Yup that was oul and garlic alright. No cheese or sauce on the pizza! So the gf had about half a slice and said it’s gross! I tasted it and I also agreed and since it had no cheese I went to the counter and asked for some Parmesan cheese to put on it. The guy in the kitchen told me there should be a shaker around. SO I looked around the dining area and found the one shaker SO i coated my slices with it becaise there was absolutely no cheese at all on this pizza! The gf couldn’t eat her slices and asked me to get some marinara so she could at least eat the crust! We had been at an all day function at the high school and hadn’t eaten since the morning. SO yes we finished the pizza and didn’t want to cause a fuss but my gf wrote a review while sitting on the table on their Facebook page! You can see the review was just a review of how our experience was here! Read through the replies of the owner and personal employees on the page and even to our pm messages on facebook! Also they had the radio and the tv on at the same time which made an unpleasant ambiance!

Let me start off by saying that the food is excellent and the portion sizes are huge, which is great for leftovers. However, the good stops there. The prices have been increased greatly, and not advertised as so. And the customer service is some of the worst we’ve experienced. They often seem to take the phone off the hook and are clearly not interested in making customers happy when you go into the restaurant to pick up. It’s really too bad. We love their food…

I went here once. I will not go back. The pizza was burned to the point where the cheese was crispy and hard to bite through. The chicken fingers had either been in the freezer too long or under the heater too long(probably both). It’s a cheap pizza place run by teenagers seemingly, so my expectations weren’t through the roof. That’s how they get 2 instead of 1 stars. I should’ve known, now I do. Happily, Carriage House Pizza is just about a five minute walk, and it’s muuuuuch better.

Pros = pizza is very good. Large pizza is 16″ Cons = their prices went way up recently. Now it is expensive. The people that work there have little understanding of what«customer service» means.

I bought a pizza for my little son and his friends. What child doesn’t like pizza? They took a few bites and refused the rest. So did the adults. No one ate the pizza. I don’t usually go here but I was short on time and it took forever to get the pizza and I the first and only customer that weekday at 11:00 am. The pizza was tasteless. I last had their pizza over a year ago and just don’t recall it tasting this bad.

Stay away from this place if you are running short of time and you need to quickly grab a slice of pizza! One basic principle of every small business — Every customer that walks into your establishment should be greeted after he/she enters the establishment. Unfortunately here you are more likely to be ignored — I had this experience atleast 4 times where I was the only one and the girl on the front desk did not even acknowledge while she chatted. Today I could not take it anymore as I waited for almost 10 min while she chatted away on the phone. She did not say hello or acknowledged my presence. Today I just walked away and drove to Pizza market in Sharon Plaza. An advise — even if you are talking, let the customer know that you will be with them shortly. Ensure you have sufficient staff to handle both phone and walk-in customers if you have front desk who wants to chat. Make sure that walk-in customers are handled so that no one has to wait too long for service. Pizza here is like any cheap pizza place — so nothing special. Go to Pizza Market which is far more better in terms of service. The front desk is rude and I see that from quite a few reviews. Too bad — I have lived in Sharon for the past 15 years and you have now lost a regular.

I really want to write a really long list of complaints about this place, but all my fingers would probably start to hurt from typing so much. Here are a few that just told me this is the last straw and I’m throwing in the towel for this place: first of all the front counter staff are very snooty and have a miserable type attitude, a big no-no there especially when you call to place an order and someone barks in your ear«pizzigando please hold». OK at least they said please I thought! But what happens next has happened to me not once, not twice, but three times. After I was told to hold after calling around 830 – 845, just around the same time all three times, I did understand they close at 9pm on a weekend(big wow there, most are open till 10) I was left on hold for an enormous amount of time… first time it was 5 minutes until I had to call back. Second time I was on hold for 10 minutes and third call I was left on hold for a whopping 15 minutes and I counted using my phones ticker…15 minutes I couldn’t believe this and I’ve seen this done at poor managed restaurants before for I worked at one when I was younger. They keep you on hold, hopefully until they close so they DONT have to make your order… why you ask? Because they have already started cleaning the kitchen for the night and want out the door at 9 more than they want your business! Several times I ordered a steak and cheese and reminded them twice on phone no mushrooms, always came with mushrooms… these guys have been in town for years and been going since I was a little kid but I’m sorry this business is now doomed and just matter of time before doors close for good! Now Pizza Market in town knows how to treat their loyal customers, they always throw in a free slice, soup, or 2 liter soda. Now that’s how you treat a loyal customer! Phil if you read this review you have to really get on top of your kid running the joint as well as your staff otherwise I don’t see this business lasting in Sharon much longer. Maybe I will try it again in another 5 years, that is if their still around.

Here’s why you should never go to Pizzigando in Sharon, MA. Tonight I had a terrible interaction with Stasi(or Stossy), the son of the owner. I placed my order for two gluten free pizzas, and he got the order wrong when he read it back to me — he left off a couple toppings I asked for. Right off the bat, I was unsure this guy either heard what I said or cared about what I said, so first red flag went up. Pizzigando usually puts their gluten free pizzas on a round disposable aluminum pizza sheet, and when you see the pizza on the aluminum sheet, you know it’s one of their GF pizzas. Our pizzas tonight did not come on the aluminum sheets. I asked the delivery person why that was, and told her I wasn’t sure if I felt safe with it. She told me I could call Stasi to double check with him. When I asked him why these pizzas weren’t on the aluminum sheets, he said something like«Big deal, I took them off the sheets, so what?» I tried to explain that it was serious because if I were to have a pizza that wasn’t GF, I would end up in the hospital, and having the aluminum sheet as an indicator is important. Before I could get that thought across to him, he was interrupting me, getting belligerent and yelling at me. So I let him no in uncertain terms that he should first of all not talk to customers like that, and second of all care about whether his customers get feel safe eating their GF food. He told me he would take note of my phone number and forbid me to call there ever again, and then hung up on me. I called back to ask someone else(Stasi’s sister Leah) to reverse the charge on my card, as I was sending the pizzas back with the delivery woman(who was standing there horrified at everything… apparently this is just the latest in the Stasi drama). Leah was apologetic but Stasi took the phone away from her and yelled at me «I TOLDYOUNEVERTOCALLHEREAGAIN» and hung up on me. Leah called back later on and apologized again and offered to give me a credit for next time, but with a guy like that in the kitchen, there’s no way I want to risk my health with someone who obviously doesn’t care about how serious of a matter this is. That is how to lose a customer

These people can keep a clock. They say it will be ready in 15 minutes and they are not lying. But let’s talk about the product. I’ve been buying pizza here for 5 yrs. It ranks from mediocre to so soggy you wonder if they poured a cup of water in the box before smacking your pie inside and slamming the lid shut. But still we Sharon-ians return because it’s: late night food; there’s been a power failure; «it’s too [something]to make dinner». Why do we return over and over and over again? Why is business relatively booming for Pizzagando? I’ll tell you in four words: Only show in town. Oh wait, I’m sorry, there is an even worse pizza place where they never actually make your pizza. You place your order and then gradually become acquainted with your own skeleton while you wait expectantly for any morsel of food to be thrust your way. I wasn’t counting them because you just hand over your money and wait, but no actual food comes. Eventually you get psychotic and demand your money back in a tone that suggest an «or else» is locked and loaded in the back of your throat. But no, Pizzagando is timely. They give you a pizza, under-cooked over-cooked, sitting around for a week, someone else’s order… something. Always timely. Their motto is to shove some nonsense into a hot cardboard box and call it a job well done. And yes, yes. Again yes. I will return for more pizza in a couple of months when I’ve forgotten how much their product is truly a barely edible piece of soggy cardboard festooned with toppings I didn’t order. Because aside from everything else, they are timely, and I like that.

Ordered a small cheese pizza for my young daughter last night & picked it up. Very rude front counter staff & they couldn’t find the pizza? Really I just called it in 20 minutes prior. Had to wait while they made it then took it home & my daughter didn’t like it & it was very greasy. Next time Papa Gino’s for sure it’s a better bet for the kids. So much for trying to support the local businesses.

The pizza here is okay, gets the job done if you’re desperate, but shouldn’t be top of your list. I would say it’s worth at least a try, I’ve had better, but have also had worse. Woman at the front counter is always friendly.

You can tell a good pie from a lousy one by the length of time a pizza place is in business. Let’s face it, food critics are everywhere and if your lousy, you will not be in business long. This place has been here a long time and keeps improving. There is a dining room which is spotless clean and had festive lights without going overboard. It’s well separated from the front door which gets busy with primarily takeout so if you ate in, it would be nice and quiet. Ordered a large green pepper and mushroom to go last night and it had the perfect balance of FRESH veggies, cheese and sauce. Not too thick but holds the ingredients perfectly. Cooked just right. I’ve had subs and wraps here and they jam pack them. Very good portions and very tasty. Another great pie tonight. 11÷08÷14

I was told to try this place for their gluten free pizza. Ordered at the counter and took it to go. Same gluten free crust that’s available at other pizza joints. First of all, the crust was under-done and soft. The sauce, what little there was, had zero flavor. Won’t be going back.

Awful just awful. Tonight I ordered a large sausage pizza and a gluten free pizza. When i go to pick it up the guy ringing me up said twice gluten free and specialty pizza? Nope twice I told him sausage. I get all the way home and the sausage is some kind of specialty supreme pizza. Annoyed but whatever my husband says he will eat it(after picking off the mushrooms that he hates). I call the store to confirm that I did get a gluten free pizza even though the large was wrong. The guy working could not tell me if it was gluten free, he just kept telling me he gave me the wrong pizza and realized after I left(mind you I had to give my phone number so they could have called and I would have turned right around). I asked to speak to the girl who was working with him because she seemed to have a clue, he I could tell while waiting did not have a clue. After being put on hold for a while he comes back and says she just left. I find that funny seeing I was just there 10 mins ago and they were very busy. Shifts don’t typically end at 6:45 on a busy Saturday night. I ask for a manager. He just kept talking and saying I got sausage but not gluten free. I again explain I did not get a sausage I am trying to find out if I got gluten free. I again ask for a manager. I’m again put on hold for an unreasonable amount of time only for him to come back and tell me the manager is to busy to talk to me. AREYOUKIDDINGME! Hold again. The girl who«just left» gets on the phone. I ask her if a gluten free pizza is cooked in its own separate tin that comes in the box? I’m just trying to confirm this is GF before I eat it and get sick. She also has no clue. Asking me «if it looks like the other pizzas? Seriously it’s round with sauce and cheese. FINALLY17 minutes after being on the phone the manager gets on and answers my very simple question, yes that is gluten free in the tin pan. Nonsense to busy to speak to a customer to answer a yes or no question that your staff can not answer. They should not sell gluten free pizza if they can’t answer questions about it. To top it all off the Gluten free pizza was not good. Crust was like cardboard really hard. Sauce did taste good with a lot of cheese. Regular pizza was doughy and undercooked. Needless to say we will not be back.

came back for another groupon deal. not a very happy customer. called in to order a GF pizza with a side salad(included in groupon deal), plus an order of fries(additional charge). i didn’t have the menu on me, but communicating w/what appears to be an under-/un-trained summer help type of staff wasn’t helping. i tried and told her many times that i don’t have the menu, but i had it last time with this and that topping. she asked if it’s that one(whatever their special pie name was), i said… i guess that’s the one. it really didn’t matter which one, pizza is pizza. now i went to pick up; the boss guy came out coz this high school kid of a staff didn’t know how to work that groupon business(again, untrained staff = ALWAYS a management issue). he then went on arguing w/me how i didn’t order by the special pie name, and they had made me an a la carte pizza that cost $ 28 by itself. um… i’m really trying to be polite here sir, but it’s YOUR staff that named the pizza for me. what exactly do you want me to do? communicating w/this mumbling boss didn’t get very far either. i was left standing at the counter in silence for at least 3 minutes, not able to tell if he was trying to insist to charge me the difference, or just cursing me under his breath as he made credit on his register. regardless, i ended up paying some $ 6.50 on top of my groupon deal, but i thought i had the fries, and add a couple dollars for the GF dough, whatever. and i fell bad about the miscommunication on the phone, so i put in another $ 2 for tips. turns out, it’s not my lucky day. opened the bag, and found no fries in my order. maybe they really forgot to put it in, but maybe I’d give them benefit of the doubt if they had spent that time checking their order instead of arguing with a customer. but now i’m just made to feel that i had to pay for an honest mistake that might have been nobody’s fault. bottom line, if i had called and specifically ordered an a la carte pie, i would be more than glad to pay for it. but first thing i said was«i don’t have the menu in front of me», and your staff wasn’t helpful in identifying the pie and putting in the order correctly. yet, somehow, the customer has to pay for that mismanagement, and the customer has to try and defend herself against your grandiose food cost analysis. dear sir, if you really believe that it’d cost you more to make that damn pie than to give a customer a break, think again. between the clogged toilets and your general lack of customer service, i sincerely wish you and your business the best of luck. at this point, i’m not certain if i would be back — groupon or not, fries or no fries.

On vacation on Lake Massapoag and gave Pizzagando a try. Tried the Tropico pizza. It’s a Hawaiian with bacon added. It was fantastic. Everything’s better with bacon. The mozzarella sticks were also good. We’ll probably order another Tropico later in the week.

Pizzigando lets you use a credit card, include your tip, sign on the line and get a pizza to your door!!! Delivery was reasonably timed! In the snowstorm! And the pizza was really, really good. I’m still trying not to make myself sick woofing down another slice. mmm. Thick crust, good fresh tasting toppings and lots of them, perfect amount of cheese, and delicious cold the next day. I’m in pizza house love. Thank God they’re in my town. But I have to take off a star for closing at some ridiculous hour…8:30pm? Seriously!!! I know that is reasonably past the«dinner hour» but they are clearly so not down for late night antics, which unfortunately is when I usually say, Crap I forgot to eat dinner how about pizza! we’re still cool tho.

As good as fast pizza gets in the big olé town of Sharon. Generous pie toppings, speedy delivery even in the deepest winter storm if you order online/over the phone and crusts just between thick and thin. They also offer a solid all around menu where nothing stands out but you’ll enjoy munching on what you get and certainly won’t regret any choices. Their hours are a touch limited for late night fetes so be sure to order before 8:30pm.
