Pork 911 is the sandwich on a bun(or two) calling for you to take a break and satisfy your taste buds. Oh and leave you satisfied just like I am now. I can’t wait to get back here and try the Pluck’in Judy. A simple menu, but you only eat one choice each visit. Very friendly service. That 911 is already calling me back. Oh by the way it is perfectly spices up. No fried food in this joint.

Justin is a super nice guy! All he wants to do is serve fresh soup made with local ingredients. He whipped me up a cup of bacon baked potato soup that was super creamy and delicious. He has a great little place that is no-frills and homey. Just the way he wants it. And you should too. I’m sure he has plenty of veggie options for Steff D! Get your butt up there!

Don’t be fooled by the outside, this tiny«shack» has BIG flavor. The owner is very nice and personable. We tried the potato leek soup and the tarragon chicken salad. The potato leek soup had small chunks of potato and was very hearty. The chicken was full of flavor and spiced very nicely. Come on down to Shapleigh for delicious homemade soup, salads, and more! Check there Facebook page for consistent updates on the menu.

We stopped here on our way to NH from Portland. We had the Dribbler and Pork 911. Fantastic! The Dribbler is a French Dip that lives up to its name as it is drenched in a delicious au jus. The pork 911 loaded with pork, greens on a perfectly toasted bun was equally impressive. The owner/chef, a friendly guy, prepared it fresh. Took it to go. Will definitely stop here again soon for a double.

I just stopped into our newest restaurant in Shapleigh, «The Soup Shack». Justin and Lynne Lowell are long-time Shapleigh residents and have put 110% into this restaurant! Fantastic food for take-out, though there are a few seats inside. Plenty of parking. And, on the way to many outdoor adventures on Shapleigh’s waterways. The menu includes, soup, salads, and sandwiches. All homemade, with home-cooked meats and veggies. Today I had a chef salad. It had ham(cut fresh off a fresh-baked ham), turkey(same story), duck eggs(for $ 1 more), fresh greens, fresh veggies, and homemade(when your salad is made) vinaigrette dressing. Stop in and enjoy!
