Sno-​Fun it is for us, we make the 20−25min drive from Bakersfield to Shafter just for a Snow Cone (Raspado), but it is worth it. Authentic Flavors unlike the generic Flavors you get at other Snow cone Shacks.

We have always preferred Sno-​Fun over any other snow cone place. Maybe it’s the brand of flavors? Maybe the ice? Maybe the nostalgia of the turquoise building that has been there forever?! They seem more authentic and for some reason, just taste better. We still make the 20 minute drive to Shafter for some Sno-​Fun. Our favorite: the mango-​chamoy! Even the cotton candy flavor taste more like cotton candy! Try it! Oh, and take cash.

Located on Five Points in beautiful Shafter; Sno Fun is a local institution. It has been around as long as I can remember. While not quite up to the standards of Ululani’s in Maui, they put all the Sno Shacks in Bakersfield to shame.
The syrups are full of flavor and the ice is softer than anywhere else I’ve had in Kern County. I’ve tried a ton of flavors but always return to the simple, yet divine Vanilla con Crema.
Sno Fun is a perfect treat on a blistering summer day. I only wish it was closer to town.

Love this place!!! Been coming here since I was little. No other place can replace it. The syrups they use are very concentrated so you can really taste the flavors. Personal favorites are the tamarindo and lime. Bomb!
