Absolutely amazing bbq! We had the buffet and everything we had was delicious! Family run business serving homemade, awesome food! The sides and bbq are definitely the best I’ve ever eaten!

I’ve been a couple times now and while the side items are delicious, the meat is just meh. The atmosphere is great and the wait staff if very friendly, but the meat is just flavorless.

The food is absolutely awful. Service is terrible. Employees and owners are rude. They treat their employees terribly as well.

Ordered the brisket sandwich. Was very disappointed, 50% by volume of fat. I wasn’t expecting lean, but this was kind of ridiculous. The beans were quite good. The slaw was decent. The deserts excellent. I’d like to give a better review, but it only makes 3 stars due to the sides and deserts. The BBQ was below average quality.

Love the food and like the atmosphere. This will be a regular place for me to eat, when out and about. The flavors, the combinations, the options are all tremendous. Was not crazy about their dessert options but everything else was spot on, for sure!

Wow. This was some good bbq! The meats were all tender, the sauce was good and most of the sides were great. We all really enjoyed the onion rings and mac and cheese. The green beans and baked beans were just okay but all the meat was great! There were 4 of us and we ordered the Family Feast… little did we know we would be getting that much food haha. We were on a weekend trip for a wedding and left to go find lunch. Found this place on Unilocal and then asked a local about it and he said we couldn’t go wrong stopping here and he was definitely right. I especially loved the pulled pork, but also liked the ribs, and brisket. I didn’t really eat any chicken though and I’m kind of sad I missed out on that one. By the time I got around to the chicken I was already full. If I am ever in the area again, I would love to return!

Knoxville has so many cool BBQ places that are so close to being awesome. This is one of them. Parton’s is just a few minutes from downtown. The inside is well set up, with everything on the table, a nice layout, and very cool decorations throughout. The staff is friendly and everyone is smiling as soon as you walk in. It’s the kind of place you want to be a regular at. But then, the food. We ordered a bunch of things, wanting to try everything we could. Altogether we got the loaded pork fries, a ham sandwich, the three meat platter, with ribs, brisket, and sausage, macaroni and cheese, sweet potato casserole, and fried okra. It was a lot of food, but was under $ 30, which is a plus. The good. The ham sandwich was awesome. It was a good cut of ham, which had been smoked and was super tender and thick at the same time. The sweet potato casserole was like a dessert, but not sickeningly sweet. The«just okay.» The sausage was well cooked, and served with green peppers and onions. Certainly fine enough, but nothing interesting, at all. The okra was fine, like fried okra served. Also lacking anything notable. The not so good. The brisket was tender, but had a funky texture and was nearly 40% fat. The macaroni was bland. Wait, I take that back, it had a flavor: pepper. The entire bowl tasted like it had been peppered to death, like some sort of last ditch attempt to salvage reheated food. The confusing part. The ribs just plain confused me. They were very well cooked and were falling off the bone. Strangely cut, but not necessarily poorly. However, what was odd was that the ribs were almost entirely lacking in flavor. Putting sauce on to eat them was fine, but even then, it was sauce on meat. The sauces. The sauces are okay. The sweet sauce is ridiculously sweet and the regular sauce is just kind of bland. Not detestable, but hardly something you’d want to take home with you. Overall, I wouldn’t be opposed to going back, but I don’t see much reason to. The ham was great, but the sides tasted like they came from a middle school cafeteria or a can from Sysco. The service was awesome and the folks were so friendly. Like so many places in the area, Parton’s is one step away from being an amazing place to eat.

First visit, won’t be my last. Had the standard pork sandwich with fries. The fries were nothing special but the pork was perfect. Very smokey flavor. The sauce leans toward the vinegar side, spicey, very tasty. I wasn’t impressed with the sauce when I first dipped my fries in it, but when I tried it on the meat it was great. Blended very well. Very friendly staff. If only they had banana pudding…

REALBBQ and delicious! We had the family platter which came with everything(brisket/pork/ribs/chicken). We also had Mac and cheese, toast, biscuits, green beans and sweet potato casserole. Everything at Partons was great, from the service to the food. Yes the dining room is a little small but it’s a BBQJOINT nothing fancy just straight up delicious.

We have eaten at Partons countless times and always had very good food and the service was great. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this restaurant.

Hands down some of the best briskeat I’ve gotten around this area! Succulent, juicy goodness in every bite. The fried pickles were awesome, and it was nowhere as expensive as other bbq joints. While the slaw was not my cup of tea. the service and other food were top notch! we will definately be back.

I think after reading Jeff S’ two reviews of restaurants, The man looks and sounds like he needs to stick to buffets.

BBQ was average at best, serve is horrible, have been there numerous because of the convenience of being nearby, last time we sat and waited 10 minutes until we observed others that came in after us getting their drinks, and we walked out Never to return. I believe in free enterprise, if you don’t want my money — no problem! Full Service BBQ in Maryville much much better, worth the drive if you have time, or for lunch, you can’t beat Hickory Cabin Seasoning Co. In Sevierville, great BBQ, fast from ended service.

I finally had the potato!!! It has butter, queso, sour cream, bbq, and sauce. It was amazing! It was actually two potatoes next to each other so it was very large portion. Yay!

My favorite BBQ place in town! The meat is very tender, and they leave it naked so you can choose how much sauce on it if you like sauce. And I LOVESAUCE. I like to mix up all the sauces on my meat. The sides dishes are also really good: Fried Okra, Cole Slaw. Green Beans, Baked Beans, Onion Rings, etc. If you find yourself in the area to check this place out you definitely should. If you are like me, you will want a nap after you this eat BBQ. In my opinion Knoxville’s Best BBQ. Good down home country cooking. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Cheers & Enjoy!

The chicken was very, very good. I don’t know who put the price tag at low. For two people to eat, it cost us almost $ 40! While it was a bit pricey, I was assuming the normal BBQ price tag. Will we be back? Probably so. Will I be getting the same meal? Probably not, I will be getting the chicken only. Not only will that make the price lower, it will also be worth it completely.

They tend to cook their meat a little well done for my tastes. I wasn’t too impressed the first time I went. We got ribs, pulled pork, and brisket. All of the meat was way too well done and the brisket was sliced too thick, in my opinion. The fries were crinkle cut right out of the freezer section, but the sweet potato casserole was incredible. The second trip was a different story, though. We got the sliced sausage and catfish for meat and both were great. The best catfish I have tasted since I moved to east Tennessee. The sides were okra, mac and cheese, potato salad, and onion rings– all of which were good. The service was also great and the prices are reasonable. I really hate to just give this place 3 stars, but it is a BBQ place and the traditional meats aren’t the greatest… the sausage and catfish are tops, though! Almost forgot– their corn muffins are pretty interesting. They kind of have the texture of cake with a corn flavor and are topped with a thick honey sauce. Not the kind of cornbread I am used to, but it was good.
