Had the most amazing dinner here while I was in town visiting family. Not only was the food delicious the service was above and beyond. I started with Seasonal Salad and had the Salmon for dinner. My hubby had the oysters and beef tenderloin! Yummy! We will definitely be back when I am in town next!

Nice evening to go out to. Price was expensive for 15 dollar burger… piano player done very well.

Pearls has an old school vibe to it(fitting with the Sewanee culture) and has a warm environment. Initially we were sat in the corner of a back room that was more like a cubby hole… so we asked for a different table in the main room(near the fireplace & piano player). We both ordered half salads to start and they were both great! The dressings were full of flavor. My main dish was the spaghetti with pesto sun dried tomato sauce, which was good but quite the heavy dish. Quail was our other entrée and it was also filling and unique! I think we’d both order different entrees on our next visit. The bread to start is great! Def worth a stop at this quaint spot!

In our opinion it’s one of the best spots on the mountain.

I loved the old Pearl’s and had one of the best pork chops ever there. I came here on Easter with my family and left very disappointed with the service and the quality of the food. Not much of a value and overrated. To begin with, our waitress took our drink orders, then promptly disappeared. We waited for a long time before she reappeared with water, then coffee and drinks. She was nowhere to be found after that until the food was served. Meanwhile, the table of young women in sundresses next to us were overwatered by a young man who seemed very concerned about their level of hydration. Kudos to the bartender who generously fortified our Bloody Marys upon request, they were not very boozy at $ 8 apiece. Restaurant Review Recap: Cold, raw lamb; overroasted vegetables; skimpy portions; thin, boring sauce; no refills on coffee; high prices, poor service. 2 stars for the biscuits, they were delicious!

Pearl’s used to be a target destination from Chicago. Then came the fire. No Pearl’s, not as much fun. Pearl’s reopened under new management. What a dreadful review followed. Tonight our friends and we had a post-Thanksgiving dinner. Pearl’s is not the same, maybe, but I don’t care. It’s back on my list of places worth traveling 600 miles for dinner.
